Abstract

E-report cards in the Merdeka curriculum are a significant educational innovation. Evaluation of using e-report cards that focuses on the technical and practical aspects of implementing web-based e-report cards in elementary schools is rare, especially in Salatiga. The problems have not been identified, such as application bugs, synchronisation problems with Dapodik, or high hardware requirements. This study uses the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) evaluation model developed by Daniel Stufflebeam. The context shows that implementing e-report cards cannot be carried out due to inadequate infrastructure. The evaluation input shows that technical training for teachers has not been obtained evenly, with only one teacher and OPS in 2022. The process does not exist because inputting values or synchronisation has not been implemented. Product evaluation of the e-report card results and qualities cannot be assessed. The school decided to postpone the implementation of this system until the infrastructure, training, and official policies are available. Google Spreadsheets are currently used to process grades in schools. This system is considered more effective and easier to use by all teachers (user-friendly), reports quickly and can be accessed in real-time without needing to be on the same server as long as the internet remains.

Abstract

As a vulnerable group, elementary school students need to be directly involved in disaster risk reduction through learning at school. Local wisdom in disaster risk reduction, bridging the gap with modern risk reduction. This study aims to produce a model in science learning by using local wisdom learning resources for disaster risk reduction. The data analysed were articles focused on local wisdom in Indonesia using qualitative meta-analysis. The data source is articles published in indexed journals by Scopus, with the criteria of selected articles (research or review) related to local wisdom in disaster risk reduction in Indonesia. The research findings are that (1) indigenous communities have original cognitive thinking skills for responding to disasters and (2) a conceptual science learning model based on indigenous knowledge to train students' responses to disasters. Disaster risk reduction by directly involving vulnerable groups (elementary school students) provides benefits: students will learn about disasters, understand actions before a disaster occurs, understand the process of saving themselves when a disaster occurs, and be directly involved in emergency response.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate teacher performance through the implementation of differentiated learning at SDN Randuacir. The program evaluation was conducted by identifying discrepancies between the government's standards for differentiated learning and the actual implementation at the school. This research employs an evaluative qualitative approach using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model developed by Malcolm Provus, which consists of five stages: design, installation, process, product, and cost-benefit analysis. The subjects of this study were the principal and teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that discrepancies were present in all stages, including design, installation, process, product, and cost-benefit analysis. These discrepancies were primarily due to the inadequate execution of the design stage. It is concluded that teacher performance has not yet reached its optimal level and needs improvement, particularly in pedagogical, professional, and social competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of research trends in learning and assessment practices in Indonesia. A total of 274 documents were initially collected, from which 100 articles that met the predetermined criteria were selected for in-depth analysis. The data reveals a distribution of research across 34 provinces, with 20 provinces being represented in the final sample. The findings indicate a predominant focus on media-based approaches in reading instruction, reflecting a growing interest in integrating media into learning strategies. In terms of assessment, the use of combined or hybrid assessment methods emerges as the most common practice, suggesting an effort to capture a more holistic understanding of student performance. Despite these developments, the overall impact of the research remains limited, as most studies are still conducted on a local scale and have not significantly influenced national educational policy or practice. This highlights the need for broader dissemination and application of research findings to enhance their relevance and utility at the national level. Strengthening the connection between educational research and practice is essential for advancing the quality of learning and assessment in Indonesia.

Abstract

Inclusive education is essential, but many people still discriminate against children with special needs, including deaf children. At first glance, deaf children are no different from other children. Therefore, their parents also want their children to grow and develop like others. This study aims to explore this issue using qualitative methods to understand parents' social constructions regarding their children's education. The research was carried out at SLB Sri Mujinab Pekanbaru, one of the oldest special schools in Pekanbaru. Participants were selected purposively, employing interaction analysis techniques. This study found that deaf children also achieve various milestones and are not intellectually inferior. Their parents hope that their children grow and develop like typical children. The widespread use of social media and services for children with special needs has compelled parents to learn extensively to support their children's growth and development so that they can become independent.
