Abstract

This study aims to examine how the innovation of curriculum system development in educational institutions is carried out by integrating several curriculum references in improving the quality of education. Educational institutions are required to provide a wide space to facilitate students in developing competencies broadly to face increasingly complex problems. In the digital era, every individual is required to always adapt to social conditions and environmental changes that are accelerating. The curriculum must be adapted to the evolving situation and conditions and become a step, direction and process to achieve educational goals. This research was conducted using a field descriptive qualitative research method. The location of the research is in the Muhammadiyah Plus North Klaten Junior High School. The results of the study show that there is an integrated curriculum development in SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Klaten Utara by combining three curricula that are a reference in academic development. Integrating the curriculum of officials, organizations, and pesantren which is carried out through student learning activities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see how character education in Qur'anic schools can be implemented. Implementation time is taken online. The data collected in this research was obtained through the stages of observation and interviews from Qur'an school teachers in the Temanggung area. The subjects in this research were Koran teachers in the Temanggung area. The results found in this research are the application of Qur’an reading schools in building children's character education. The character education provided is seen from teachers teaching lessons in religious-based Qur'an schools. Suggestions given by the researcher to future researchers are to be able to develop character education in other non-formal education apart from Qur'an reading schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of Al-Farabi's thoughts in the development of competency-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the Society 5.0 era. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method, including an analysis of articles and books related to Al-Farabi's works and ideas, competency-based education, and the challenges faced by PAI in the digital era. The data analysis technique involves an in-depth examination of Al-Farabi's educational principles and their applications. The findings reveal that Al-Farabi's philosophy, which emphasizes the integration of knowledge, morality, and practical skills, is highly relevant in addressing the challenges of Society 5.0. This approach supports the development of a PAI curriculum that is adaptive to technological advancements while fostering a generation that is intellectually capable, morally grounded, and practically skilled to navigate the complexities of the digital era

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' learning characteristics based on aspects of Islamic religious education subjects as well as describe the application of differentiated learning at Negeri 1 Tangen Sragen Middle School. The research method used is qualitative with a data collection process through interviews, observation and case studies with the application of learning. The data analysis technique used is triangulation by collecting information from interviews and observations. Then it is compared with previous research and expert opinions to draw valid conclusions. Differentiated learning outcomes give students the freedom to determine content that shows their understanding, skills and knowledge and express it in various products appropriate to their level of mastery. And there was an increase in learning outcomes after conducting a case study with the application of differentiated learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects. So it can be concluded from the results of this research that the application of differentiated learning can improve student learning outcomes at Tangen Sragen Junior High School (SMP).

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of PAI teachers in addressing the challenges of the digital era and to examine how they can leverage technology to enhance the quality of learning and scholarly publications. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis, involving a literature review and interviews with PAI teachers in several schools. The findings indicate three main focuses in global digital community-based learning: (1) the construction of inquiry and discovery, (2) creativity and initiative, and (3) interaction and collaboration. Additionally, PAI teachers play seven key roles in digital learning, namely as: (a) sources of learning, (b) facilitators, (c) managers, (d) demonstrators, (e) mentors, (f) motivators, and (g) evaluators. The main challenges faced by PAI teachers include effectively managing scientific information and maintaining the quality of publications.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Understand the implementation of Al-Qur’an education at SMPIT Ar Risalah Laweyan, Sukoharjo, during the 2023/2024 Academic Year; 2) Identify the character of seventh-grade students at SMP IT Ar Risalah Laweyan, Sukoharjo, during the 2023/2024 Academic Year; and 3) Analyze the influence of Al-Qur’an education on the character of seventh-grade students at SMP IT Ar Risalah Laweyan, Sukoharjo. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The subjects of the study are seventh-grade students, with additional information sourced from Al-Qur’an teachers and students. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, respondent data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Al-Qur’an education at SMP IT Ar Risalah has been implemented through planning, execution, and evaluation phases to shape students’ character. In the planning phase, the school’s vision and mission serve as guidelines for Al-Qur’an education, supported by a strong commitment to Islamic values-based education. The execution phase systematically integrates the Al-Qur’an education-based curriculum. Meanwhile, the evaluation phase is conducted transparently, accountably, efficiently, and effectively to improve the quality of education. This study concludes that Al-Qur’an education significantly contributes to shaping students' character, creating a conducive learning environment aligned with Islamic educational values.

Abstract

SMP Panglima Sudirman as an educational institution that has students from various cultures and religions. One of the religions in the school is Muslim. So that Islamic character education that focuses on the teachings of Luqmanul Hakim, Prophet Ibrahim, and Prophet Musa becomes the object of study in the implementation of the transformation of Islamic character education in an effort to form a superior generation at SMP Panglima Sudirman. Through qualitative research to explore the application of these values in the policies of those responsible for the school curriculum and their impact on the formation of student personality. It can be seen that through the research that has been carried out, it shows that the transformation of the teachings of the Qur'an in the curriculum, especially through the story of Luqmanul Hakim, Prophet Ibrahim, and Prophet Musa is reflected in the implementation of the policies of those responsible for the curriculum at SMP Panglima Sudirman. This contributes positively to forming students who have noble morals, have strong monotheism, and high enthusiasm for learning. In addition, the role of those responsible for the curriculum who support also helps in the development of students who excel academically, morally, and spiritually.

Abstract

The practice of Dhuha prayer in schools is an effort to shape students' good character. However, it is questionable whether this practice will truly impact students. Therefore, this research, conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas, aims to determine and analyze: (a) How Dhuha prayer is implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas (b) Whether students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas understand the essence of Dhuha prayer (c) The extent of the influence of Dhuha prayer practice in shaping the religious character of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas. The approach used in this research is quantitative, with the aid of SPSS 22 software. The research findings indicate that the practice of Dhuha prayer has a relationship in enhancing the religious character of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas, with a Pearson Correlation of (0.547) r table (0.413). This represents a 30% success rate, meaning the remaining 70% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, the more frequent the practice of Dhuha prayer, the better the students' religious character. However, to shape character optimally, support from various parties, especially parents and the community, is needed. This Study proves that there is a positive influence of habit of dhuha prayer on students’ religious character. Further research also needs to examine other factors that influence the effectiveness of the habit of dhuha prayer in improving students’ religious character.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the analysis of government policy making during the old order, new order, and reform era towards Islamic education in Indonesia. A policy that is set arises because of problems that require proper handling. The research used is qualitative research with the type oflibrary research. While the data collection techniques used are data reduction methods, data presentation, data verification and for data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive methods and historical analysis. Based on this research, it was found that the policy of Islamic education during the old order had begun to be implemented but still at the elementary school level. During the new order, the development of Islamic education policy had reached higher education but there were obstacles that made Islamic education unrecognized. Whereas in the reform era, the implementation of Islamic Education policies in Indonesia was more at the stage of refinement of the old order and new order periods. Therefore, it can be analyzed that the Islamic education policy during the old order, new order and reform era showed a development that was adjusted to the times to answer the challenges of modernity that could increase individual potential.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies employed by teachers to address misconceptions in Islamic Education (PAI) learning for Grade 2 students at the Integrated Superior Elementary School (SDUT) Bumi Kartini Jepara. Misconceptions in PAI often arise due to students' limited understanding of fundamental topics such as the pillars of Islam, pillars of faith, and core Islamic values, which can hinder the learning process and comprehension of religious concepts. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive methodology, collecting data through document analysis, teacher and student interviews, and classroom observations. This approach aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of how teachers design and implement effective teaching techniques to eliminate students' misunderstandings. The findings reveal that teachers at SDUT Bumi Kartini employs four strategies: contextual learning with educational games, repetitive practice using audiovisual media, storytelling with projector-based digital media, and hands-on activities through creative projects. These strategies have proven effective in correcting misconceptions and improving students' understanding of religious concepts. The study highlights the importance of innovation in PAI teaching, particularly in addressing misconceptions commonly found in primary education. It emphasizes the need for educators to continuously develop adaptive and relevant teaching strategies. In conclusion, effective teacher strategies in overcoming misconceptions in PAI learning for Grade 2 students at SDUT Bumi Kartini Jepara involves interactive methods using digital media and the teacher's active role as a facilitator with a contextual approach to enhance students' understanding.
