Abstract

Student competency development will be good, one of them is if student have metacognitive awareness. This reseach aims to determine: 1) student’s meta-cognitive awareness between high classes (4th, 5th, 6th) of elementary school in Bumi Raya Morowali; 2) metacognitive awareness between male and female students in high class of elementary school; 3) metacognitive awareness of male and female students between high classes in elementary school. This research is a comparative survey research. The instrument of the research is used MAI-Sraw and Denisson (1994) that modified suit for elemantary school students’s literacy skill. The respondents who have been involved are 134 students, respondents were selected using probability sampling technique. Also use inferencial parametric statistic (two way anova). This research results that: 1) Student’s metacognitive awareness of 4th grade is different, possessed lowest level than 5th grade and 6th grade. Student’s metacognitive awareness of 5th grade and 6th grade is not different each other. First concluded analysis that student’s metacognitive awareness between high classes of elementary school in Bumi Raya Morowali is different. 2) The metacognitive awareness between male and female students overall is not different. 3) Interaction between level of grade and gender on student’s metacognitive awareness are: the metacognitive awareness between male and female students of 4th grade also male students of 5th grade is not different; the metacognitive awareness between male and female students of 4th grade is different from male students of 6th grade, female students of 6th grade and female students of 5th grade; than the metacognitive awareness of male and female students of 5th grade with the metacognitive awareness of male and female students of 6th grade is not different. The recommendations for the next research are to apply longitudinal research and to add the the variabel’s research in order to get gradual describtion of student’s metacognitive awareness.

Abstract

The Rogomoyo tradition means the custom of replacing the luwur cloth or the tomb of Ms. Rogomoyo in Prokowinong hamlet, Kaliwungu village, Kudus. Untilnow, the Rogomoyo tradition is still maintained and preserved. Every year the people of Prokowinong always hold a tradition as a form of respect for the struggle and services of Mbah Rogomoyo. This study aims to determine the process of implementing the Rogomoyo tradition in Kaliwungu village, Kudus district, describe the values contained in the Rogomoyo tradition in Kaliwungu village, Kudus district, identify and describe community perceptions of the Rogomoyo tradition in Kaliwungu village, Kudus district. This type of research is qualitative research. Data was collected by conducting interviews, literature and observation. From thisstudy, it was found that people's perceptions of the Rogomoyo tradition vary widely, the residents of Prokowinong hamlet, Kaliwungu village, Kudus district also still celebrate the Rogomoyo tradition because itcontains high noble values. The form of implementation pays attention to the traditional system, upholds the values of tolerance, religion and generosity that has been carried out withall communities. the implementation of the Rogomoyo tradition to remember the forerunner to being a forerunner as well as an expert in carpentry so as to be able to produce Kudus traditional houses.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine (1) the character values ​​of students through the local wisdom of the community in Mayong Village, Jepara Regency. (2) Embedding local wisdom-based character values ​​in social studies learning at MTs Sabilul Ulum Mayong Jepara. (3) Obstacles experienced by teachers applying character values ​​in the social studies learning process at MTs Sabilul Ulum Mayong Jepara. This type of research is field research (field research) using a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study included social studies teachers, and class VII A students at MTs Sabilul Ulum Mayong. Research data sources are primary and secondary sources. Data search techniques were obtained by observation, interviews and documentation studies. All data was collected and then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's analysis. By collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and verifying data/drawing conclusions The results of this study indicate that: (1) There are two local wisdoms in the village of Mayong, Jepara Regency which can be used as learning references, such as clay crafts and the cultural carvings of Mrs. Mas Semangkin. Character values ​​that can be used as learning are: Historical Values, Economic Values, Mutual Cooperation Values, and Religious Values. (2) The implementation of instilling local wisdom-based character values in social studies learning in class VII A according to the RPP, namely initial activities, core activities, and closing activities. Abstract

The Role Playing method is a method that allows for active interaction between teachers and students, or between students and other students who interact with each other. This study identified several problems, namely the low student interest in social studies subjects, such as learning that was less interesting so that students lost interest, and the lack of student involvement in learning. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to find out the activities of teachers and students in Social Studies learning by applying the Role Playing model in Class VII-4 SMP Negeri 1 Batanghari, as well as to find out the students' learning interest in Social Studies learning by applying the Role Playing model in Class VII -4 SMP Negeri 1 Batanghari. This study used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with 32 students from class VII-4 at SMP Negeri 1 Batanghari as subjects. Data collection is done through observation, and data analysis using the percentage formula. The results showed that teacher activity increased from 70.8% in cycle I to 96.9% in cycle II. Meanwhile, student activity increased from 73.9% in cycle I to 93.7% in cycle II. Students' interest in learning also increased from 2.53% in cycle I to 3.11% in cycle II. Thus, the application of the Role Playing model is able to increase student learning interest in social studies learning.

Abstract

Creativity and the ability to think creatively are essential skills of the 21st century. This study aims to obtain a descript ion of the creativity and mathematical creative thinking skills of students after the application of project-based learning. This study uses qualitative research methods to observe participant phenomena in learning activities. Creativity and creative thinking skills are shown by students during the process of planning products, making products, presenting, and evaluating products. The results obtained in this study are students can find out their level of understanding from the work they have made. This can help students to plan to make the next teaching material appropriately. Project assignments carried out in groups can promote creative ideas. This helps students to build confidence in producing innovative work.

Abstract

Student achievement in schools has not reached the minimum completeness criteria determined by the teacher and the school, which is 70. This problem is really realized that the acquisition of grades is influenced by various factors, be it teachers, students, learning processes and school facilities. The research objectives (1) to analyze the effect of parental attention, home study facilities and student learning independence on learning achievement, (2) to analyze the effect of parental attention on achievement, (3) to analyze the effect of home learning facilities on achievement, and (4) to analyze the effect of independent learning on achievement. The research method for the variables of parental attention, learning facilities, and independent learning is using a questionnaire. As for achievement, use report cards. The questionnaire was tested on 30 teachers using validity and reliability testing techniques. Hypothesis test using t-test for partial effect, and F-test for simultaneous effect. Data analysis used multiple linear regression formula with classical assumption test preceded. The results showed that there were significant influences, including: (1) parental attention, learning facilities, and independent learning on student achievement, (2) parental attention to student achievement, (3) learning facilities on student achievement, and (4) learning independence on student achievement.

Abstract

Motivation to learn can function as a driving force in achieving achievement. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. Researchers chose the type of experimental research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the discussion learning method, parental attention and learning motivation on social studies learning outcomes of SDN Gugus Bumi Nickel Bohodopi Morowali Elementary School. The results of the analysis are 1). the results of the t test and reinforced by the results of the ANOVA test found that partially the use of the discussion method had an effect on student social studies learning outcomes. 2). the results of the t test and reinforced by the results of the Anava test found that partially parental attention influences student social studies learning outcomes. 3). the results of the t test and reinforced by the results of the Anava test found that partially student learning motivation influences student social studies learning outcomes. 4). ANOVA test shows that the use of the discussion method, student learning motivation, and parental attention influence student social studies learning outcomes together. The conclusion is that discussion learning methods, parental attention and learning motivation affect social studies learning outcomes of SDN Gugus Bumi Nickel Bohodopi Morowali students.

Abstract

The discovery learning method is a learning method that has many advantages compared to other learning methods. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using the discovery learning method and learning interest on social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SDN 1 Bahonjuang and Kelas V SDN Umbele Elementary School. The method used by researchers is quantitative with an experimental approach. Data collection uses a survey method with a questionnaire as an instrument. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistical tests, t test. and Anova. The results of the Anova test obtained the results of F count 13772 with Sig = 0.000. Value (< 0.05). meaning that together the use of the Discovery Learning Method and interest in learning affect student learning outcomes. the use of discovery learning methods and learning interest on social studies learning outcomes of students. Conclusions: (1) Simultaneously there is a significant effect of the use of the discovery learning method and learning interest on student social studies learning outcomes (2) Partially there is a significant influence of the use of the Discovery Learning method on student social studies learning outcomes. (3) Partially there is a significant influence of students' learning interest on students' social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teachers must have several competencies including teaching, personality, professional, and social. The application of teacher competence can be seen from the teacher's work. The competence possessed by a teacher is reflected in the achievement of learning outcomes which are realized in the form of values ​​that describe the learning achievements of their students. In addition, student learning motivation also has an important role in student learning outcomes. The main objective of this study was to identify and analyze the influence of teacher competence and motivation on student achievement at SDN Gugus 1 Bumi Nickel Bahodopi Morowali. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational survey. The research population was students of class V Cluster 1 Bumi Nickel Morowali, totaling 597 students, so the sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire and data analysis used multiple linear regression which was completed with the help of the SPSS 16 for Windows computer program. Based on the results of data analysis, teacher competence has no effect on student achievement with a significance value of 0.520, so p > 0.05. Learning motivation has no effect on student achievement with a significance value of 0.241, so that p> 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to show how the role of BBGP in advancing education in Indonesia is to find out the magnitude of the influence of Indonesian education in advancing the efforts and quality of teachers. With that, teachers must be able to adapt to government regulations. The role of the teacher is very important for educational staff, namely as professional education staff, teachers must be able to provide quality learning so that they are educated and a generation that can compete in the era of globalization. So that the teacher must have four competencies, namely pedagogic, social competence, professional competence, personality competence if the teacher is capable of independent thinking and is able to provide stimulus to students able to use their reasoning power intelligently and able to use their thinking power or creativity according to the talents of students' interests. The research method used is a qualitative type of research. This research was built to find out in-depth understanding and discoveries in the field that will be examined. The conclusion is the strategy of the Great Hall of driving teachers in the advancement of education in Indonesia now, starting with quality from human resource sources and analyzing teacher quality in line. according to BBGP mapping and what efforts need to be made by teachers to improve this quality.
