Abstract

This research is motivated by the students self-confidence yet to respond to the reading of short stories , teachers tend to use the lecture method. The purpose of the study to describe the ability to respond to the reading of short stories class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti using audiovisual media . Type a descriptive quantitative research methods. The study population was a class VII student of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti.Teknik sampling Purposional Random Sampling. Instrumen is test.  Research data analysis,, it was concluded that the ability to respond to reading short stories class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti using audio media visual more than enough with an average 77.77 % of students. Responsiveness to reading short stories class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Linggo Sari Baganti using audio-visual media indicator 1 (pronunciation) is more than adequate with an average 73.33 %, indicator 2 (intonation) is more than adequate with an average 75.55 %, indicator 3 (expression) is the average of 57.77 % .Indicator 4 (attitude) is quite good with an average of 84.44%, indicator 5 (content short stories) splendidly with 94.44 % average rats.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tiga masalah, yaitu (1)  kurangnya minat siswa kelas X SMA Adabiah Padang dalam menulis narasi, (2) teknik yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran cenderung hanya dengan teknik cerita dan metode ceramah, (3) Kurangnya  keingintahuan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis narasi, diasumsikan karena tidak adanya sensitivitas guru untuk mengetahui kebutuhan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis narasi ekspositoris dalam bentuk autobiografi siswa kelas X  SMA Adabiah Padang dengan menggunakan teknik pemodelan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, teknik untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yaitu teknik pemodelan. Penggunaaan teknik tersebut diharapkan dapat memotivasi siswa agar lebih mudah untuk menyampaikan ide ke dalam tulisan narasi ekspositoris dalam bentuk autobigrafi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan menulis narasi ekspositoris dalam bentuk autobiografi siswa dengan menggunakan teknik pemodelan tergolong baik (B), tingkat penguasaannya 84% dan berada pada rentangan 76-85%.

Abstract

Membaca merupakan bagian yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam seluruh kegiatan proses belajar yang dialami siswa selama menuntut ilmu di sekolah. Dalam KTSP, pembelajaran membaca terdapat dalam Standar Kompetensi (SK) ketiga, yaitu  Memahami ragam wacana tulis dalam membaca intensif dan membaca nyaring. Masalah penelitian ini dibatasi pada kemampuan membedakan paragraf deduktif dan paragraf induktif melalui kegiatan membaca intensif  siswa kelas XI  SMA N 2 Batang Kapas Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Sedangkan untuk  membedakan paragraf deduktif dengan paragraf  induktif  siswa harus mampu  membedakan ide pokok dengan kalimat penjelas dalam sebuah paragraf. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian data perindikator adalah sebagai berikut  (1) kemampuan menemukan paragraf deduktif melalui kegiatan membaca intensif tergolong baik sekali (rata-rata hitungnya berada pada rentangan 86%-95%),  (2) Kemampuan menentukan paragraf induktif melalui kegiatan membaca intensif tergolong lebih dari cukup (rata-rata hitungnya berada pada rentangan 66%-75%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk membaca intensif khususnya dalam memembedakan paragraf deduktif dan paragraf induktif melalui kegiatan membaca intensif siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Batang Kapas tergolong baik.  Nilai rata-rata kemampuan membedakan paragraf deduktif dan paragraf induktif siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Batang Kapas adalah 82,12 dengan kualifikasi baik (rata-rata hitungnya berada pada rentangan 76-85%).

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah  majas yang terdiri dari majas perbandingan, majas pertentangan, majas pertautan, dan majas perulangan atau penegasan. Sumber data adalah duapuluh sembilan puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Gunung Tuleh. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan langkah sebagai berikut: (1) membaca puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Gunung Tuleh; (2) studi pustaka untuk mencari acuan, pedoman, atau referensi yang berkaitan dengan keperluan penelitian; (3) mengumpulkan data; (4) mengelompokkan data; (5) menganalisis data; (6) melakukan pengabsahan data; (7) menyimpulkan penelitian; dan (8) menulis laporan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan penggunaan majas sebanyak 7 jenis majas. Majas tersebut yaitu majas asosiasi atau simile sebanyak 8 majas, majas metafora sebanyak 1 majas, majas personifikasi sebanyak 15 majas, majas alegori sebanyak 1 majas, majas hiperbola sebanyak 11 majas, majas klimaks sebanyak 3 majas, majas repetisi sebanyak 6 majas. Majas yang dominan dalam puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Gunung Tuleh adalah majas personifikasi dan majas hiperbola.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the students’ difficulties in expressing their ideas when they were asked to write tales .this researcsh was designed for describing the students’ ability in rewriting spoken tales in class VII of SMP Negeri 35 Padang. This was a  aquantitative research which used descriptive method. The data of the research was gotten from a test. The result of the research showed that the students’ ability in rewriting the spoken tales in class VII of SMP negeri 35 Padang was good in which the students’ average score was 81,94%. The students’ ability in rewriting the  rewriting the spoken tales viewed from (1) plot was good in  which the students’ average score was 77,08%,(2) background was very good in which the students’ average score was 86,45%, (3) characters was good in which the students’ average score was 82,29%. Based on these results , it was concluded that the ability of the stundents’ in class VII of SMP Negeri 35 Padang in rewriting the spoken tales was good in which the students average score was 81,94%.

Abstract

This research has the background of the problems. The first is the pengajaran menyimak only gave in theory ratherthan practice. The second is students had lack consentration in pay attention of teaching material that had been done by a teacher. The third is the books of pembelajaran menyimak were still less to support in teaching and learning process. The fourth is kemampuan menyimak mite of students was not optimal. The fifth is students were more act playfully rather than pay attention.  The sixth is students were more prefer dreaming than pay attention on learning material that had been given by teacher. The seventh is students were preferred popular story rather than old story. The eighth is there was not any media that is used, the teacher explained about theory only. The purpose of this research is to describe kemampuan menyimak mite siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai by using audio based on thema, characteristics, background, plot and finding the interesting things about charachteristic of story.This research is quantitative research by describtive design. The population of this research is the garde of X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai, the amount is 192 in six classes. The taken of sample uses proportional random sampling tehnic so that the sample has taken be 36 students. the data analysis is done by doing several steps: (1) give scors in the result of test, (2) turn scors become marks, (3) make a group of the scors toward the result of test, (4) determine avarege, (5) make the histogram based on students skill whole, (6) analyze and discuss the result, (7) conclude the result of finding.The result of research is data per indicator is as following. (1) indicator 1 indicator 1 (thema) classify Hampir Cukup (HC) by avarege 49,99, (2) indicator 2 (charachteristich) classify Lebih dari Cukup (LdC) by avarege 71,76, (3) indicator 3 (backgound) classify Hampir Cukup (HC) by avarege 49,53, (4) indicator 4 (plot) classify Baik (B) by avarege 93,52, (5) indicator 5 (the charachteristic intersting things of mite story) classify Kurang (K) by avarege 42,13. This result that can be gotten, it canbe concluded students’ Kemampuan  menyimak mite on garde of X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai by using audio media is classified Cukup (C) by avarege 62,13 genaraly.

Abstract

This research is motivated first, the lack of interest of students to read the news, zecond, students are in able to understand the elements that must be considered in reading the news, third, instructional methods used by teachers are less varied and monotonous. This study aimed to obtain a description of " the ability of a class XI students SMA N 1 Painan in reading the news using audio-visual media in accordance with the elements of reading the news like intonation, pronunciation , and the the performance". This research is a quantitative research using descriptive methods. The results of the study are (1) the ability to read the news seen from intonation obtain an average value of 76.34 is at a good level qualification with 76-85% mastery level, (2) the ability to read news views of pronunciation obtain an average value of 71.03 was the qualifying level is more than adequate to the level of mastery of 66-75%, (3) the ability to read the news seen from the attitude obtain an average value of 75.85 was the qualifying level of more than quite to the level of 66-75% mastery. Based on the research and analysis of the data, we conclud that the ability to read a class XI students news SMA N 1 Painan using audio-visual media obtain an average value of 74.32 was more than enough in qualifying with a mastery level of 66-75% .

Abstract

This study aimed to describe and analyze the influence of the direct object of the technique s ability to write poetry class VII SMP Negeri 2 Sutera review of the ability of students to use diction (choice of words) , style and imaging in writing poetry . This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods . Population in this research is a class VII SMP Negeri 2 Sutera subjects enrolled in 2013/2014 a total of 180 students. Sample size was 28 respondents, taken with purposive sampling technique . The data of this study is the ability to write poetry scores grade students of VII SMP Negeri 2 Sutera before and after using the technique of direct objects . Data is analyzed and then performed a t- test to determine the effect of the use of the direct object of the technique s ability to write poetry VII SMP Negeri 2 Sutera . The results of this study are : First , the average skills of students at pretest (early test) is 59.15 . Second , the average student skills at posttest (final test) is 75.03 . Third , there is a significant influence of the direct object of the techniques of poetry writing skill VII SMP Negeri 2 Sutera , because ≥ . Thus, the direct object is very accurate technique used in learning to write short stories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin menurunnya nilai-nilai moral di dalam realita kehidupan. Novel merupakan peristiwa perjalanan kehidupan, sehingga karya sastra dapat dikatakan proses realitas kehidupan yang terwujud melalui bahasa dan mengandung nilai keindahan yang digunakan oleh pengarangnya. Jenis penelitian ini kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif yang bersifat analisis. Novel Bulan Susut karya Ismet Fanany banyak menggambarkan nilai-nilai moral yang dapat diambil hikmah dan pelajarannya. Dalam novel ini banyak terkandung penyimpangan nilai dan moral yang baik untuk dibaca oleh generasi muda bangsa. Nilai-nilai yang dapat dipedomani dalam novel ini adalah nilai sosial, nilai agama, dan nilai budaya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penyimpangan nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung dalam novel Bulan Susut karya Ismet Fanany. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penyimpangan nilai moral tokoh utama dalam novel Bulan Susut karya Ismet Fanany berhubungan dengan hati nurani, kebebasan dan tanggung jawab, hak dan kewajiban, nilai dan norma.

Abstract

Indeed Houses, a novel set in Minangkabau calture that many tradisional Minangkabau describe the problem. This study was conducted to describe the traditional Minangkabau values contained in the novel. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. This research is used to describe the data contained in the novel. Data collocted by the steps: (1) read and understand the novel, (2) quotation marks, (3) inventory of data, (4) to classify the data. Based on the description of the data and the results of this study concluded that the traditional Minangkabau values contained in the novel, namely, marriange matrilineal, mamak roles and marriagebetween ethnic groups in Indonesia. (1) matrilineal marriage is a marriage with close relative such as child marriage with the niece or home kebako. (2) mamak role in Minangkabau is a guard treasures and meet all the needs of his nephew, such as school fees, and matrilineal problems. (3) inter-ethnic marriages are prohibited in Minangkabau in Indonesia because it can damage the system and the pattern of Minangkabau customs.
