Abstract

Abstract :This research aims to know the influence of students' misconceptions towards the physics learning outcomes on the force concept and its applications in SMP I Kuok Kabupaten Kampar. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey method. The subject of reasearch was 82 students selected randomly as samples from overall population of class VIII students. The instruments used in this research is the diagnostic test to indicate the level of students’ misconceptions. Besides researcher also done documentation of physics learning outcomes on the concept of the force and its application.The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. From descriptive analysis informed that students’ misconceptions reached very high level while physics learning outcomes was at low level. Inferential analysis consist of correlation and regression analysis. Correlation analysis of both variables produced a coefficient correlation-0,260. It showed that correlation between students’ misconceptions and physics learning outcomes was low and not unidirectional. Regression analysis showed the contribution of students’ misconceptions toward physics learning outcomes by -0.480. Students’ misconceptions influence 6,8% of physics learning outcomes significantly. This result informed that students’ misconceptions influence physics learning outcomes on the force concept and its applications in SMP I Kuok Kabupaten Kampar negatively and significantly.Keyword : Students’ misconceptions, Physics Learning Outcomes, Force Concept and its Applications

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to find out whether there is a significant effect of Jigsaw technique on the ability of the second year students of MTs Kota Intan in comprehending descriptive texts. This is a pre-experimental research with one group pre-test, treatment and post-test design. There are two classes in the first year. Class VIII A in the first semester of academic year 2018/2019 that consist of 25 students are chosen as the sample by using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument of the test is in the form of multiple choices which consist of 25 items about descriptive texts. To collect the needed data the treatments were conducted for six times. The students’ scores were analyzed by using Microsoft excel 2010 and SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) version 23.00 for windows. The results of the data analysis show that the mean score of the pre-test is 59.36 and the mean score of the post-test is 70.40. It means that the value of t-test (7.440) is higher than t-table (2.064) at 5% the significance level. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (H1) of this research is accepted. In other words, there is a significant effect of Jigsaw technique on the second year students of MTs Kota Intan in comprehending descriptive texts. The implication of this finding is to be beneficial for the teacher in teaching and learning English especially in teaching reading.Keywords: Effect, Jigsaw Technique, Reading Comprehension, Descriptive Text

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by teachers who are still using old method in teaching. Especially in science, generally teachers only teach without doing an experiment.Inquiry learning model is expected to improve students’ achievement in learning. This research used quasi experimental method with nonequivalent control group design.The purposes of Inquiry learning model are to know the effect of Inquiry learning model application in the experimental class and to know the difference of improvement in students' science achievement between experimental class and control class.This research was conducted in SD Negeri 67 Pekanbaru with class IV A as experiment class and class IV B as control class.From the research’s result showed that there is influence of Inquiry learning model in experiment class and there is difference of improvement students’ science achievementbetween experiment class and control class.In experimental class there was an increase in students’ achievement with an average gain of 0.68 in medium category. While in control class,students’ achievement increasing with an average gain of 0.42 in medium category.In this research, there is influence of Inquiry learning model to students’ achievement of experiment class with value (r) equal to 0,66 in strong relation category. Based on the coefficient of determination is 43%, means the application of inquiry learning model influencingexperimental class by 43% and 57% influenced by other factors. Thus, the Inquiri learning model affecting students' science achievement with a betterimprovement of students’ achievement than the application of lecturing methods.Key Words: Inkuiri, Science Achivements

Abstract

Abstrack: the aims of research to improve learning result fourth grade Mathematical student at elementary school 007 Birandang Island by implementing cooperative learning model Make a match. The bacgroun of this research is the low learning result of Mathematics, seen in student value of 23 students. Who are not striking scores of the class was 15 students (65,22%), who reashed the scores of the class was 8 students with an average value. The achievement Standard that school determines 70. The model of research is classroom action research, carried out in two cicles with phases including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The technigues of data collection like observation, technique, test and technical documentation. A data collection tod using observation sheet and achievement test. The data analysis technique using teacher and student analysis activity and analysis of student learning result. Inn cycle I, the first meeting of the teacher gained 66,66% with good category, the second meeting of the percentage increased to 75% with good category. In cicle II, the first meeting percentage increased to 83,33% in very well category, at the secont meeting the perscentage icreased to 91,66% with very good category. The average of student learning before the aplication of the model is 58,33 and merease in cycle I to 73,04, and in the second cycle increased to 81,73, the result showed that the aplication of the cooperative model of make a match can improve student learning result of Mathematics.Key Words: Study Result, cooperative learning Model make a match, mathematic

Abstract

Abstract: One of several factor which influenced learning process of students is motivation. The objective of this study is to analyze the factors that influence student motivation and to know which one of the most dominant factor affecting students' motivation of fourth grade students of SDN cluster 4 in Limapuluh district Pekanbaru city. This research method is quantitative descriptive. The sampling technique in this research is cluster sampling. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the factors that influence student motivation is divided into two, namely, internal factors and external factors. To find out the analysis of the factors affecting learning motivation comes from internal factors, it can be seen from the response to the survey respondents, 82.2% confidence, interest at 69.7%, 82.7% health, and 72.9% intelligence. From the calculation results of data analysis obtained by percentage of internal factors with the percentage of 76.87% in the category always. While the factors that influence student motivation in terms of external factors each sub-indicators can be seen from the research respondents 77.7% teacher strategies, 85.3% family environment, 85% school environment, and 80.5% the environmental community. From the calculation results of data analysis obtained by percentage of external factors with the percentage of 82.1% to the category of always. From the data analysis it can be concluded that the most dominant factor in influencing learning motivation of fourth grade students of SDN cluster 4 in Limapuluh district Pekanbaru city influenced by external factors.Keywords: Motivation In Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research is about Implicature in the Rumpi No Secret Talk Show on the Trans TV Television Station. This study aims to describe what forms of implicature and implicature markers in the Rumpi No Secret Talk Show on the Trans TV Television Station. The type of research is qualitative research. The source of data in this research is the dialogue between the presenter and the speaker or the audiance on the Rumpi No Secret Talk Show on the Trans TV Television Station that is aired again on youtube. Data collection techniques of this research are SBLC technique and documentation technique. The data analysis technique used in this study is the determining element sorting technique. The results of this study are as follows. First, the forms of implicature in the Rumpi No Secret Talk Show on the Trans TV Television Station, namely 1) conventional implicature and 2) conversation implicature. Second, implicature markers in the Rumpi No Secret Talk Show on the Trans TV Television Station, namely 1) implicature marker of quality maxim deviation, 2) implicature marker of quantity maxim deviation, 3) implicature marker of relevance maxim deviation, 4) implicature marker of implementation maxim deviation, 5) implicature marker of quantity maxim and implementation maxim deviation, 6) implicature marker of quantity maxim and quality maxim deviation, and 7) implicature marker of quantity maxim and relevance maxim deviation.Key Words: Implicature, Talk Show, Maxim Deviation

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the refusal speech act of love, the current situation and the politeness when the refusal speech act of love happened. The subject of this research is 5 Ji Kara 9 Ji Made drama created by Miki Aihara in 2015. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach that use SPEAKING theory from Dell Hymes. After that, it is connected by politeness principle theory by Lecch, the face threatening theory and the politeness strategies by Brown and Levinson. In the result, we discovered that there were some kinds of the refusal of love with various levels of politeness were used. The violation of politeness principle, the maxims in the face threatening act and politeness strategies that done had relevance to the situation happened when the speech event. There were two kinds of refusal speech act of love in the 5 Ji Kara 9 Ji Made drama. They were the reason of refusal the love and the request that are not approachable.Keywords: The refusal speech act of love, politeness, facethreatening acts, politeness strategies

Abstract

Abstract: The problems on the background of this research were the low of learning achievement in natural science subject. During the learning process the teachers only use the speech method. The teacher just opened the lesson and directly presented the subject. Then they gaveassignments as training and little motivation for the students. It could be seen from the problems that arisedsuch as the students tend to be passive, and just listened while the teacher explained the lesson. The Students could not solve the problems that they faced in their life. And the Students did not do the assignment that gave by teachers. One of solutions that could improve their learning achievement at grade IV in natural science subjectwas the Implementation of Learning Model studentsbased on problems in order to be applied in their life. The subjects of this research was the fourth grade students of SDN 05 Samsam District of Kandis Regency of Siak, it was 35 students consistied of 20 male students and 15 female students. This research was a classroom action research, it done in two cycles, each cycle conducted twice and once daily test. The purpose of this research was to improve science learning achievement in fourth grade of SDN 05 Samsam District of Kandis Regency of Siak. The main subject of this research was the source thermal energy. The results showed that the application of learning model based on the problem to improve learning achievement of IPA before being applied which Problem Based on Learning Model was 64.71. After being applied Learning Model Based on Problem, In daily test of cycle I the average value of student learning achievement was 70.86, it was an increase. The meeting was continued to the second cycle, and the second cycle of daily test average value of student learning achievement was 82.57. Based on the explanation above could be concluded that the implamentation of learning models based on problems could improve student learning achievement of fourth grade of SDN 05 Samsam District of Kandis Regency of Siak.Keywords : Learning model Based on Problem, to improve student learning achievement of IPA

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine "the parents understanding of the concept of early childhood education at TK Al-Kholidiyah Sedinginan Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir". Results of this study are expected to be useful as knowledge and as a discourse of knowledge and learning in knowing about the analysis of the parents understanding of the concept of early childhood education at TK Al-Kholidiyah Sedinginan Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir. The population in this study are all the parents that the student's mother in TK Al-Kholidiyah Sedinginan Tanah Putih by 84 mothers of students. The sample used in this study were 46 respondents in TK Al-Kholidiyah Sedinginan Tanah Putih. The data collection techniques that scale in Likert Scale. Data were analyzed using trial scale and statistical methods using SPSS for Window Ver.16.0 The results of data can be seen from the percentage of the overall indicator results the parents understanding of the concept of early childhood education at TK Al-Kholidiyah Sedinginan Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir with a percentage 74.18% and classified in the category of "good". The conclusion of this study parental understanding of the concept of early childhood education at TK Al-Kholidiyah Sedinginan Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir classified in both categories with pesentase 74.18%Keywords: understanding, parents, pre-school, early childhood
