Abstract

Indonesia is one of the earthquake-prone countries in the world. To reduce the impact of earthquakes, especially the missing life due to building collapse, the behavior or performance of buildings against the earthquakes is one of the most important things to consider. Therefore, inelastic or nonlinear analytical calculations must be performed. Some methods for calculating nonlinear analysis are static nonlinear pushover analysis and inelastic dynamic time history analysis. This study compares the performance results of the pushover analysis and time history analysis using the earthquake records from San Fernando, Morgan Hill and Kobe for a 6-story SRPMK reinforced concrete building. From the results of the pushover analysis and time history analysis, the same level of performance is obtained, which is IO (Immediate Occupancy) category for both X and Y directions. The displacement target obtained from the pushover analysis is 0.092 m for the X direction and 0.096 m for the Y direction. While the maximum displacement obtained from the results of time history analysis is 0.0129 m for the X direction and 0.005 m for the Y direction from the Kobe earthquake and San Fernando earthquake records.

Abstract

Denpasar City is the center of economic, education, health, and government activities in Bali Province. Denpasar City has the highest population compared to other regencies. The increase in population causes the demand for educational infrastructure also increasing. Fulfillment of educational infrastructure will certainly burden the road network, such as the School Safety Zone (SSZ) facility whose function is to maintain student safety when going to and from school. The objective of this study is to analyze the performance of roads before SSZ and in the SSZ area. The traffic volume survey at 3 elementary schools in Denpasar was conducted at peak hours in the morning and afternoon. The analysis of the performance of road sections using the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results showed that the degree of saturation before SSZ in SDN 5 Pedungan is 0.83 while at the SSZ area is 0.85, the degree of saturation before SSZ in Harapan School is 0.72 while at the SSZ area is 0.81, and the degree of saturation before SSZ in SDN 3 Peguyangan is 0.68 while at SSZ area is 0.71.

Abstract

In order to do bearing capacity and slope stability analysis of rock, determination of physical and mechanical parameter of the rock is needed. The objective of this study is to determine the mechanical parameter of the rock using RMR and GSI method. Result of this study are rock in Melasti beach area is classified into fair rock with range of GSI value of 35 to 45. Mechanical parameter of the rock using RMR method are f = 25 – 35 and c = 200 KPa – 300 KPa and mechanical parameter using GSI method is f = 24 – 29 and c = 256 KPa – 330 KPa.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is the important component of construction project. Rapid development is less balanced with Occupational safety and Health application. PP 50 of 2012 explain that Occupational safety and health management system (SMK3) is required to implemented for all industry and service. The Himana Condotel is the one of the building construction project with the high risk accident, than the author do the analysis of the level of implementation of SMK3. The analysis use descriptive observational method with sample subject from management side and worker side. The different test analysis that use Mann Whitney U test and the study literature of SMK3 as contain in PP no. 50 of 2012 to know the extent of SMK3 application from contractor in planned, implemented and examined SMK3 at the Himana Condotel project. The result from this study is the extent of SMK3 implementation at the Himana Condotel Project that is SMK3 planned with the average from management subject 90,94 ± 3,431 and from worker subject 87,53 ± 3,417 its appertain in the satisfactory level of application. SMK3 implementation with the average from management subject 82,38 ± 0,754 and from worker subject 81,90 ± 2,338 its appertain in the satisfactory level of application, and SMK3 examined with the average from management subject 99,87 ± 0,020 and from worker subject 95,76 ± 4,987 its appertain in the satisfactory level of application.

Abstract

Sungi’s river flood control infrastructure development project has a high enough risk. The research objective is to identify, assess, and respond to the risks that affect the cost and time performance of the project. The study was conducted by a mixture of quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection by interview and data analysis by Severity Index (SI). The results showed that the identified risks were 25 (twenty-five) risks from 8 (eight) sources of risk. Risks that have extreme value and affect cost performance are addendums when carrying out work, changing or erratic weather that hinders work and adjustments to field conditions resulting in work design changes. Risks that have extreme values ​​and affect the performance of time are a lack of funding to carry out work and an error in field measurements to determine the point of work so it does not match the picture. The response to risks includes service providers providing initial funding, implementing addendums immediately, using weather forecast data from the BMKG, re-measuring, and making changes immediately, and asking for the approval of the work owner.

Abstract

The research aims to see the effect of substitute tile waste waste in making concrete on concrete compressive strength. as a fine aggregate of the compressive strength of concrete as well as knowing the optimum compressive strength of concrete after the addition of powder waste from roof tiles as fine aggregate. Making concrete using sokka tile waste powder is expected to be able to utilize sokka tile waste powder that is no longer in use. The experimental method used in this research method. A normal concrete experiment was carried out with 20 MPa concrete quality which was given roof tile waste with variations of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% of the weight of fine aggregate and compressive strength was tested with a sample specimen shaped cube size 15 x 15 x 15 cm at the age of 14 days. Effect of tile powder substitutes from mixed variations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%. This means that the variation of the tile roofing mixture mixture used has a simultaneous effect on the compressive strength of concrete. From the results of data analysis using the SPSS 20 for windows program which shows the value of tcount = 2.504> ttable = 1.745 so that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between substitute variations in tile powder replacement on the value of concrete compressive strength. The use of tile powder more than 20% of the weight of the fine aggregate used has increased significantly, but not more than 50%. From this it can be concluded that the maximum compressive strength of concrete after the addition of tile waste is at the addition of 20% -50% tile waste with a concrete compressive strength value of 310-385 kN, which can be seen in the crushed pressure value in table 3 (concrete compressive strength test results).

Abstract

Good environmental infrastructure is infrastructure that allows the environment to function properly. Gang Masjid on Jalan Lambung Mangkurat Samarinda, known as Kampung Fashion, is a densely populated residential area prone to flooding and fires. This is caused by inadequate environmental infrastructure conditions such as narrow roads with high traffic density, solid buildings, building conditions dominated by wooden walls, poor drainage systems and inadequate waste disposal facilities and minimal fire fighting facilities causing high risks flood and fire disaster. To reduce the high risk of disasters, community awareness about their environment needs to be increased. Training citizens to respond to disasters can minimize losses arising from disasters.

Abstract

Bondek slab is a composite slab consisting of galvanized steel, wiremesh and concrete. Compared to conventional slab, bondek slab themselve are still not applied to often in Indonesia because it requires special calculations to use them. The purpose of the study are to calculate the budget and period of slab work by using the bondek slab method and determine the budget and period efficiency of using the conventional slab and bondek slab. To find this out, analysis is carried out starting from structur analysis, volume analysis, budget analysis and period analysis. The analysis shows that the slab can reduce the cost of slab implementation is 35.45% or Rp. 1,223,932,278.33 and accelerate the time for floor slab work is 36.21% or 63 days, which originally used conventional floor slab cost is Rp. 3,452,222,761.32 and the duration of work is 174 days. While if use a bondek slab only costs is Rp. 2,228,290,482.99 and the duration of work is 111 days.

Abstract

In the current era, the development of construction really needs to be done by implementing quality implementation, it can be done in the continued development of the Integrated Laboratory Building, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jember, in order to know some of the work included in the critical trajectory and to know the comparison between scheduling plans made with the desire of the academic community in the completion of the development. The method applied in this research is CPM (Critical Path Method) which is very suitable in various empirical construction works. From the results of this study it was concluded that scheduling using the CPM method contained several jobs including critical trajectories, namely: preparatory work, partner work, concrete work, plastering and thread work, sound system work, fire extinguishers, sanitary and sanitary work, water installations clean, dirty water installation, sprinkler installation and roof hydrants, electrical work, lightning rod installation, and the calculation of the total normal duration using CPM method obtained the completion of the project for 123 days or 6 months, while the average desires of the academic community during 6 months 18 days.

Abstract

The total department at the University of Jember is increasing year by year. Student body accomplishment impact is increasing the number of students. Because of this increment, the number of student who rides motorcycle increase too. The impact of this increment is changing a road function in MKWU, Computer and Science Faculty, Postgraduate, and Library area at the University of Jember into a parking lot (on-street parking). Therefore, it needs to be relocated to an off-street parking facility, and in this thesis, the parking facility that used is a parking building. This final project aims to find out the capacity of the existing parking area, the capacity of an elevated parking building, and the design and specification of the parking building. The method used in this thesis is the deviation of maximum cumulative, where the in-and-out vehicle’s accumulation compared with the existing capacity and the result is used for calculation of parking accumulation, parking duration, and parking index. The value of the Parking Index for 4,36 years ahead is 51,3%<100% and the parking building able to accommodate the demand. From the parking lot requirement, it needs an area of 1155 m2 and for the circulation’s area, it needs 1125,6 m2.
