Abstract

MSMEs that previously only relied on human resources are now forced to keep up with the times by utilizing IT in every process, from raw material procurement, production processes to distribution processes in order to remain competitive in facing a business world full of challenges. Information Technology, which is closely related to digitalization, can help companies gain sustainable competitiveness in the supply chain by improving certain asset relationships, facilitating information exchange, and building long-term cooperative relationships as a form of implementing Supply Chain Digitalization. The ability of MSMEs to implement green supply chain management is a unique ability to improve company performance. For example, a company can reduce production costs by involving its suppliers in several green initiatives, such as material recycling, environmentally friendly packaging, and efficient use of energy. Companies with high supply chain resilience will be strong and grow significantly in the face of crises, thereby minimizing losses. Therefore, companies with good supply chain resilience will have a competitive edge so they can grow faster and win the competition from their competitors. For this reason, this study aimed to examine the effect of supply chain digitization, green supply chain, and supply chain resilience on competitiveness. This research is Explanatory Research. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The total sample was 400 MSMEs Managers in Pamekasan Regency, and used data analysis, namely Structural Equation Model (SEM) with AMOS software. The results highlighted that Supply Chain Digitalization, Green Supply Chain and Supply Chain Resilience has a direct and significant influence on MSMEs Performance. Moreover, Competitiveness partially mediates the relationship between Supply Chain Digitalization, Green Supply Chain and Supply Chain Resilience and MSMEs Performance. The findings of this study suggest that managers should be made aware that Supply Chain Digitalization, Green Supply Chain, Supply Chain Resilience can be an important driver for Competitiveness which in turn would enhance MSMEs Performance.

Abstract

Career calling is essential in individual career development, especially for women, such as nurses, who are prone to potential work and family conflicts. They are faced with tough challenges in order to enjoy satisfaction in their careers. This study explores the role of career calling as a moderator in the relationship between work-family conflict and career satisfaction. This study focuses on 120 nurses as respondents spread across three cities and regencies in East Kalimantan. This number of samples was obtained with a purposive approach, five times the number of indicators. The results with SEM-PLS show that work-family conflict negatively affects career satisfaction, while career calling positively affects career satisfaction. Moderation effect testing shows that career calling significantly amplifies the effect of work-family conflict on career satisfaction. Managers in health agencies must minimize the work-family conflicts of their nurses and develop a sense of calling in a nursing career to increase career satisfaction. Implication of the result: The HR function needs to manage conflict between work and family wisely and evolve people to be more inclusive with their calling in the job.

Abstract

A clear understanding of internal strength allows the company to innovate and adapt in a highly competitive Fast-moving consumer goods market. Therefore, the company's ability to oversee risk and opportunities determines the company's resilience. By employing homogeneous purposive sampling, which focused on the member population of 11 FMCG companies, the present study processed quantitative data from a questionnaire using a Likert scale and qualitative data through in-depth interviews with stakeholders. The data was collected through one-on-one in-depth interviews with 11 respondents online and offline in 12 major cities from August to November 2022. Later, questionnaires were processed using AHP Fuzzy to explain and take into account the role of decision-makers resembling FMCG leaders by defining interactive factors, actors, objectives, and strategies. Factor-actor analysis found that the sales director was the actor with the most influential role in the leadership factor, the sales manager was influential in the Organizational Citizenship Behavior factor, and the sales director was a prominent actor in sales management control. The main goal of the president director, IT/Digital director, supply chain director, and sales director in digital transformation is increasing effectiveness/efficiency in business processes. Besides, the sales manager and sales supervisor aspire to achieve sales targets or sales growth set by the company. In increasing effectiveness/efficiency and achieving sales targets/sales growth set by the company, prioritized strategy can be done through the development of leadership, capability, and human resource capacity. Besides, customer/business partner-oriented digitalization is vital for increasing customer/business partner satisfaction with the company's services/business processes. Furthermore, the present study found leadership models as critical for digital transformation with the realistic scenario (iterative improvement) in all likelihood. Sales organizations are expected to consistently and continuously conduct experiments to find new ways of working and produce digital initiatives that companies need to answer customer/consumer demands. Those strategies can be done by clearly identifying factors, actors, objectives, and strategies for better business execution in digital transformation.

Abstract

The existence of the Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) is a momentum for businesses in East Kalimantan as a buffer zone to encourage economic growth. However, there are several issues related to the quality of human resources and technical and non-technical skills, weaknesses in capturing opportunities, and lack of innovation. Businesses need to be continuously developed in terms of both quality and skills, especially in digital behavior as a contributor to business performance. Therefore, this study examines factors that are directly and indirectly related to business performance. This research empirically predicts that digital experience and digital literacy can influence digital behavior. Furthermore, this study proposes the relationship between digital experience, digital literacy, and digital behavior to business performance. This study was conducted by taking samples in the IKN buffer zone. Subject was conducted on 80 business owners in Somber Small Industry Center. Data analysis in this study used Warp-PLS. Results of hypothesis testing show that digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on digital behavior. Digital experience has a significant effect on digital behavior. Furthermore, digital behavior has a significant effect on business performance. Partially, digital behavior significantly mediates the relationship between digital literacy and digital experience on business performance. The implications of this study indicate that digital information literacy, service availability, visual quality and access stability are needed to encourage operational performance, management and support performance. Future research recommendations are to examine digital literacy and digital experience variables that have a direct effect on business performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship of foresight capability to the innovation performance of SMEs by using digital transformation as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative research method. Data collection was carried out through a structured offline questionnaire. The technique of determining the sampling is done by using purposive sampling. The population in this study were SMEs originating from the West Java region, with a total of 187 questionnaires collected. This research uses structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the hypothesis. This study proposes ten hypotheses, of which seven direct effect hypotheses and three hypotheses test the mediating effect. The study's results found that foresight capability can affect product innovation performance. The effect of foresight capability (network and analysis) can affect digital transformation, but the time horizon cannot affect digital transformation. Digital transformation can affect the performance of MSMEs product innovation. This study found that digital transformation can partially mediate network relationships and analysis on product innovation performance and cannot mediate time horizon relationships on product innovation performance. The findings of this study enrich the foresight literature, digital transformation, and innovation performance of MSMEs products.

Abstract

SMEs necessitate effective marketing approaches and strategies to augment their marketing performance. Entrepreneurial marketing functions as an alternative to appropriate marketing management in order to portray the current state of SMEs. The aim of this investigation is to scrutinize the influence of the institutional environment on marketing performance, with entrepreneurial marketing serving as a mediating factor. Scholars executed a descriptive-causal examination, accumulating data from 100 participants who were selected from a pool of 5,830 SMEs in Palu City, Indonesia. The process of data collection was conducted through online and offline methods, employing questionnaires and Google Forms. Subsequently, the gathered data was assessed employing the Smart-PLS software and a structural equation model. The discoveries divulge that all hypotheses, encompassing both direct and indirect impacts, were accepted, apart from the association between the institutional environment and marketing performance, which was refuted. This study emphasizes the pivotal role of the institutional environment in shaping the circumstances of entrepreneurial marketing and amplifying the marketing performance of SMEs.

Abstract

One of the financial institutions currently developing in Indonesia is sharia banking, but previous research states that the majority of people still use conventional banking products. This is because conventional banks have various products, are more diverse, and have advantages over sharia banks. Therefore, this research aims to identify how religiosity and perceptions can influence people's decisions to use sharia banking services. The type of research conducted is quantitative research. Quantitative research is the type of research conducted. The population consists of 1350 traders located in Manonda Market and Masomba Market in Palu City. Simple Random Sampling is the sampling technique used. In this research, there are 180 respondents whose data will be used to test the hypotheses. The research takes place in the traditional markets of Masomba and Manonda in Palu City, and the data collection was conducted in the year 2023. The data that will be used to test the hypothesis in this research is 180 respondents from questionnaires distributed directly to respondents. The research results show that religiosity can influence people's perceptions regarding Islamic banks; apart from that, perceptions are also found to influence consumer decisions when using sharia banking products. Furthermore, perception can be a good mediator between religiosity and consumer decisions, but in this research, it was found that religiosity cannot influence people's decisions to use sharia banking. The implications of this research are important for academics by opening opportunities for further research regarding the complexity of the relationship between religiosity, perceptions and customer decisions in Islamic banking. For Islamic banking practitioners, these results emphasize the importance of understanding the role of perception in increasing the acceptance and use of Islamic services.

Abstract

A phenomenon exists among high school students who lack understanding of their cultural awareness and that of others, failing to appreciate ethnic and cultural differences. Consequently, these disparities often become subjects of ridicule or amusement due to each group's varied modes of speech, styles, and customs. To address this issue, cultural awareness is essential, making it pertinent to investigate the impact of knowledge on cultural awareness mediated by attitudes. This study employs a quantitative methodology described as explanatory research. The study used Simple Random sample methodology, whereas the analysis utilized Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The sample size was determined using the Raosoft sample size calculator with a 5% sampling error rate, resulting in a sample size of 213 students. The study's results indicated that information affects attitudes and cultural awareness, with attitudes potentially mediating the relationship between knowledge and cultural awareness. This study's conclusions pertain to Resource-Based Theory, suggesting that student behavior concerning cultural awareness can be influenced by cognitive expertise, namely in the areas of knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and assessment. An elevated degree of knowledge can enhance students' attitudes, as seen by behaviors reflecting tolerance, empathy, openness, and respect within the framework of multicultural education. The recommendations for Twelfth-grade high schools to enhance their educational effectiveness with an emphasis on character development.
