This study aims to examine in depth of the effect of religious counseling towards the religious behavioral adaptation of Indonesian migrant in the Netherlands. The study used a case study of twelve Indonesian Muslim migrants in the Netherlands with male and female sex with a religious counselor taken with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection tool used in this study was by interview and in-depth observation. Data analysis techniques using a model of qualitative data analysis Miles Huberman with data reduction steps, display data and draw conclusions. The result of this study showed that the religious counseling played positive roles in the life of Indonesian Muslim migrants group in the Netherlands. Those roles include community life, relationship with Allah and relationship among Islam people. The findings of this study can be a strategy for the counselor in assisting Muslim migrants in a non-muslim country on the behavioral adaptation

This study aimed to find the correlation between proximity and social interaction. This was a correlational study. The population of this study was 173 eight grade students. The data were collected by using proximity scale and social interaction scale. To analyze the data, this study used product moment correlation. The result of this study showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between proximity and social interaction by the coefficient of correlation (r) 0.365 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). In other words, higher proximity leads to higher social interaction and vice versa. The results of this study can provide information to educators, especially guidance and counseling teachers (BK) as predictions and preliminary data before providing guidance and counseling services to develop students' proximity  and social interaction.

This study was aimed at generating the empirical data on the effectiveness difference between Adlerian Group Play Counseling (AGPC) intervention and classical guidance service in improving interpersonal attractiveness based on the social relationship profile. This study was categorized as an experimental study with factorial design. The sample of this study comprised the fifth-grade students of Sukasenang Elementary School and Cihaurgeulis Elementary School. Interpersonal attractiveness questionnaire and sociometry emerged as the instruments of this study. The data were analyzed by using two-way analysis of variance. The result of this study demonstrated that AGPC intervention was more effective than the classroom guidance activity in improving all interpersonal attractiveness categories. The school counselor may utilize the result of this study as an alternative strategy to improve students’ interpersonal attractiveness.

This study aimed to find out the profile of Bidikmisi students at Semarang State University (UNNES). This was a quantitative study with descriptive survey design. The subject of this study was 462 university students who were taken by simple random sampling technique. The data were collected by using career adaptability scale.The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Based on the result of the analysis, it was found that the average profile of UNNESS Bidikmisi students’ career adaptability was 51% and was categorized as high. The result of this study shows that the attempts in improving students’ career adaptability by the lecturers, parents, and university counselors are needed

This study aimed to find out the profile of religious identity on late adolescents. This was a quantitative study with descriptive survey design. The subject of this study was 134 students of Guidance and Counseling Department of Yogyakarta State University who were taken by simple random sampling technique. The data were collected through Religious Identity scale. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The result of this study showed that 100 subjects were in the achievement status (75%), 27 subjects were in the searching moratorium status (20%), and seven subjects were in the foreclosure status (5%). The result of this study took a role as the basis for formulating a guidance and counseling service to develop the religious identity on late adolescents.

This research aims to reveal ‘hope' of Indonesian adolescents especially in Bantul regency of Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data were gathered from 106 adolescents consisting of 38 males and 68 females (16 -18 years old) from high schools.The instruments of this study was a hope scale in the form of semantic deferential scale ranged from 1 to 8 (1= very inappropriate, 8 = very appropriate). The data analysis of this study was descriptive statistics. The result of the study showed that the hope of female students is higher than male students. In agency thinking, male students are higher than female students, otherwise, in pathways thinking, female students are higher than male students. Based on the parents' occupation, those who work in private sector have high hope. Conversely, the students whose parents are farmers have a low hope. The lowest scale of pathways thinking was obtained by the students whose parents are farmers as well as in the agency showed that the students whose parents are labours obtained the lowest scale

This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of reality counseling in developing students’ career decision making skill. This study employed quasi-experimental study with non-equivalent control group design. The data were collected by using Career Decision Making Skill scale. The subjects of this study were thirty students of SMAN 1 Karangnongko. This study employed purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using Mann-Whitney statistical formula. The result of this study showed that counseling reality was effective to develop students’ career decision making skill. This study generated a new counseling strategy for counselor in developing career decision making.

The aim of the study was to discover the effectiveness of miracle questions technique on rational problem-solving skill. The method employed in the study was pre-experimental with single-subject experimental design. The subject of the study was five managers of HIMA PPB FIP UNY consisting of three males and two females. The present study was conducted in 3 (three) phases namely pre-treatment, treatment, and post-treatment. The data were collected using problem-solving scale and miracle questions technique counseling guide. The data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical analysis namely wilcoxon test. The result of the study exhibited that miracle questions technique was effective on rational problem-solving skill (Asymp sig. (2-tailed 0,043<0,05) With 5% of level of significance. Therefore, miracle questions technique is effective to improve the rational problem-solving skill of the student organizer of HIMA PPB FIP UNY. The result of the study can be used as consideration to applying miracle questions technique in broader scope for counselor.

The present study aimed to identify self-regulated learning difference between male and female students in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The present study employed quantitative approach with comparative design, the sample of the study was 300 students comprising of 164 male students and 135 female students. The samples were selected using stratified random sampling technique. The instrument that was employed was SRL scale. Independent Samples Test emerged as the data analysis technique to identify SRL difference between male and female students. The result of the study showed that there was significant difference between male and female students' SRL. Based on the SRL average level, female students possess higher level of SRL than male students. The result of the study can be used as initial assessment by school counselor in order to develop a guidance and counseling program concerning SRL.

This study aimed to find out the relationship between students’ academic procrastination with the intensity of social media use. This study employed quantitative approach with correlational design. The subject of the study was 419 students of the State University of Semarang from various faculties, they were selected by using random sampling technique. The data collection instrument of the study were social media use scale and academic procrastination scale. The data were analyzed using product moment. The result of the study showed coefficient correlation (r) of -0.344 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This means that there is positive and significant relationship between academic procrastination and social media use intensity. The higher the academic procrastination, the higher the intensity of social media use, and vice versa. The result of the study can provide contribution to the school counselor as a prediction and initial data before providing guidance and counseling service on academic procrastination and being wise in social media.Keywords:
