Abstract

Pesantren constitute an environment in which code-mixing is highly likely to occur, as they simultaneously teach two foreign languages. This study aims to describe the forms of code-mixing, the contributing factors, and possible solutions to address code-mixing. The research employs a descriptive qualitative design with an ethnographic approach, using both primary and secondary data sources. The findings of this study indicate that code-mixing occurs among students at the Islamic boarding school Dārul Lugah Waddirāsātil Islāmiyah, Seninan Akkor, Palengaan, Pamekasan, Madura. Four forms of code-mixing were identified among the students: code-mixing at the word level, phrase level, the use of “baster” forms, and code-mixing involving reduplication. In addition to these forms, eight factors were found to contribute to the occurrence of code-mixing: the speaker’s intention to explain or interpret meaning, the use of more popular terms, the speaker’s personality, the interlocutor, the presence of a third speaker, the topic of conversation, limited mastery of Arabic vocabulary, and insufficient understanding of grammatical rules (qawā’īd). The study also proposes several solutions, including creating an Arabic-speaking environment, enforcing consistent sanctions, teaching vocabulary according to its contextual use, increasing vocabulary memorization, exposing students to Arabic videos, audio materials, or films, providing opportunities for practice, organizing discussion sessions (munāqasyah), strengthening language regulations, assigning dormitory rooms based on language proficiency, implementing disciplinary measures by caregivers, enhancing teacher motivation, encouraging students to record essential vocabulary, and requiring teachers to use Arabic daily

Abstract

The urgency assessment is carried out in processing student test results. The two forms of assessment carried out by the teacher are the norm reference assessment (NRA) and the benchmark reference assessment (BRA). The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) the application of NRA and BRA in processing student test results; 2) The advantages and disadvantages of NRA and BRA in processing student test results; 3) Differences and similarities between NRA and BRA in processing student test results. The research method used is a qualitative method with a library model. The primary data sources for this research are research journals and e-journals related to NRA and BRA in processing student test results, while the secondary data are books related to NRA and BRA in processing student test results. The results in this study are: 1) NRA is used to compare student success relative to other students, while BRA is used to measure exactly the competencies that determine success. 2) The advantages and disadvantages of NRA-BRA can be seen from the development of student learning outcomes. 3) The difference between NRA and BRA is based on 3 criteria, namely test development, student performance assessment standards and the purpose of the test.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam sistem pendidikan global, termasuk dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Sistem pembelajaran daring (online) memberikan fleksibilitas dalam proses belajar, namun juga menuntut strategi yang tepat agar pembelajar pemula dapat memahami materi secara efektif. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pembelajaran bahasa Arab daring yang sesuai bagi pemula. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran efektif mencakup perencanaan materi yang sesuai tingkat kemampuan, penggunaan media digital interaktif, penerapan pendekatan komunikatif, serta sistem evaluasi yang relevan dengan konteks digital. Strategi ini penting untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pemula dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab secara online.

Abstract

Learning Arabic requires a method that is fun and not boring so that the learning process goes well and the learning objectives can be achieved. This study aims to look at the implementation of learning Arabic using the total physical response (TPR) method because this method comes from the West. In carrying out his research, this study used descriptive qualitative methods. The steps that the authors carried out in this study were in the form of collecting data from several articles related to further research, the authors analyzed and described the results of these articles in the application of the total physical response method in language learning. Arab. The results of this study are in the form of a significant positive influence in learning Arabic using the total physical response method, especially in the mastery of mufradat. This research is expected to provide a scientific treasure, especially for educators in Arabic subjects.

Abstract

In this study, the researcher discusses the importance of Arabic contribution in expanding Indonesian vocabulary. Arabic has an important role in the history of language and cultural development in Indonesia. This research explains how the interaction between Arabic and Indonesian language has shaped the vocabulary and grammar of Indonesian society. This research uses the literature method by making literature sources and scientific information to find out the traces of Arabic influence on the Indonesian language. The results of this study open a deeper insight into the history of the entry of Arabic into Indonesia and its contribution in enriching the Indonesian language treasury.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada identifikasi dan analisis bentuk-bentuk kesalahan berbahasa Arab, meliputi kesalahan fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik. Tujuan utama penelitian adalah untuk mengungkap pola dominan kesalahan serta faktor-faktor linguistik dan pedagogis yang memengaruhinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi pembelajaran, tes lisan dan tulis, serta wawancara dengan guru bidang studi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan fonologi merupakan bentuk kesalahan yang paling dominan, terutama pada pengucapan huruf-huruf bersifat hamas, tafkhim-tarqiq, dan bunyi-bunyi guttural. Kesalahan morfologi muncul pada penggunaan pola tasrif dan pembentukan kata, sedangkan kesalahan sintaksis terlihat pada struktur jumlah ismiyah dan fi‘liyah. Adapun kesalahan semantik berkaitan dengan ketidaktepatan pemilihan makna kata. Faktor penyebab kesalahan meliputi interferensi bahasa ibu, kurangnya paparan fonologis, strategi pembelajaran yang belum variatif, dan terbatasnya latihan produksi bahasa. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya pengembangan metode pembelajaran berbasis drilling fonologi, pendekatan komunikatif, serta perbaikan materi ajar yang lebih kontekstual untuk meningkatkan akurasi berbahasa Arab siswa.

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة فهم علم الصرف في سورة الكهف من خلال تحليل الأوزان الصرفية وتغيراتها ودلالاتها في بناء المعنى القرآني. اعتمد الباحث على المنهج الوصفي النوعي من خلال دراسة مكتبية، حيث قام بتحليل الآيات التي تبرز فيها البنية الصرفية للكلمات، واستند في ذلك إلى كتب التفسير، ومصادر علم الصرف القديمة والحديثة، والدراسات العلمية ذات الصلة. وجمعت البيانات باستخدام أساليب التوثيق والمراجعة الأدبية للنصوص. وتوصل البحث إلى أن سورة الكهف تحتوي على تراكيب صرفية متنوعة تعكس عمق النظام اللغوي للغة العربية، وتُسهم بشكل كبير في إيصال المعاني البلاغية والتربوية والدينية في النص القرآني. كما بيّنت النتائج أن فهم الظواهر الصرفية في السورة يُعدّ مدخلًا أساسيًا لفهم المعاني الدقيقة للنص، ويساهم في تعميق مهارات الفهم اللغوي لدارسي اللغة العربية وعلوم القرآن.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model asesmen kinerja menyimak (istimā’) berbasis teks fungsional dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Madrasah Aliyah. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap, yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa instrumen asesmen menyimak berbasis teks fungsional bertema al-taḥiyyāt wa al-ta‘āruf dalam bentuk tes audio dan lembar penilaian kinerja. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan terhadap sepuluh siswa kelas X SMA Babul Maghfirah untuk menilai keefektifan instrumen. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai rata-rata (mean) sebesar 72, median 75, modus 80, dan standar deviasi 9,8 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar mencapai 80%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa asesmen kinerja yang dikembangkan efektif dan layak digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan menyimak siswa secara autentik dan komunikatif. Dengan demikian, asesmen ini dapat menjadi alternatif instrumen evaluasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab yang menekankan kemampuan pemahaman makna dan konteks komunikasi sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of morphological errors in writing insyā’ in kitābah learning at Muhammadiyah Junior High School and calculate the percentage of their occurrence using the Error Analysis approach. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of documentation of students' writing results and interviews with subject teachers. The analysis process was carried out through four stages of error analysis, including: error identification, error classification, explanation of the source of errors, and calculation of the frequency and percentage of errors. The results showed that there were two dominant types of errors, namely harakat errors and letter writing errors, each accounting for 5 errors out of a total of 10 errors found. The percentage of errors showed that harakat errors reached 50%, while letter writing errors also reached 50%. These findings indicate that students' ability to apply the basic rules of Arabic morphology and orthography is still low, especially in terms of the accuracy of vocalization and letter formation. This study recommends strengthening error analysis-based exercises and structured remedial learning to improve students' insyā' skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Arabic language learning at MTs Muslimin Indonesia Center, to identify emerging problems, and to provide solutions or recommendations to address these obstacles. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The research approach includes a pedagogical approach, and a social. Data sources include the principal, Arabic language teachers, and the vice principal for curriculum. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation, using observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation checklists. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum still faces various obstacles, such as teachers' lack of understanding of the terms and concepts of the new curriculum, suboptimal preparation of learning tools, limited learning resources, minimal use of technology, and learning time that does not match the number of hours stipulated in the curriculum. However, in terms of assessment, no obstacles were found for Arabic language teachers. To address these challenges, this study recommends increasing teacher training and mentoring, as well as optimizing the implementation of project-based learning to improve students' Arabic language competency. Furthermore, proposed solutions include improving Arabic reading and writing habits, increasing the stock of textbooks, adjusting learning schedules.
