Abstract

Kurangnya modul pembelajaran yang menyesuaikan kebutuhan individual siswa dan minimnya integrasi pendidikan kecakapan hidup dalam pembelajaran matematika menjadi tantangan dalam proses pembelajaran di SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menerapkan modul ajar matematika dengan pendekatan diferensiasi dan berorientasi pada pendidikan kecakapan hidup untuk siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Modul ini dirancang untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan pembelajaran individual dan meningkatkan keterampilan praktis yang relevan dengan kehidupan siswa, mengikuti model DDD-E (Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul ajar matematika yang berfokus pada materi barisan dan deret efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa serta mempersiapkan mereka dengan keterampilan penting untuk kehidupan dan karier. Validasi dari tiga pakar memberikan penilaian sangat baik dengan skor keseluruhan 85,67%, mencakup aspek kelayakan isi, penyajian, bahasa, metode, dan kegrafikan. Analisis pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan banyak siswa yang awalnya berada dalam kategori Kurang dan Cukup naik ke kategori Baik dan Sangat Baik. Dua siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dari kategori Kurang ke Cukup atau Baik, menegaskan efektivitas materi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Hasil analisis uji t menunjukkan nilai pre-test memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil post-test, dengan setiap peningkatan satu unit pada nilai pre-test berkontribusi pada peningkatan sebesar 0,555 unit pada nilai post-test. Pendekatan pengajaran yang fleksibel dan relevan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa, serta mempersiapkan mereka untuk tantangan masa depan. The lack of instructional modules that address individual student needs and the limited integration of life skills education into mathematics instruction pose significant challenges in high school learning processes. This study aims to develop and implement a mathematics teaching module using a differentiated approach oriented toward life skills education for students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. The module is designed to accommodate individual learning needs and enhance practical skills relevant to students' lives, following the DDD-E model (Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate). The research findings indicate that the use of a mathematics teaching module focused on arithmetic and geometric sequences is effective in improving students’ mathematical understanding while equipping them with essential skills for life and career readiness. Validation by three experts resulted in an excellent rating, with an overall score of 85.67%, covering aspects such as content feasibility, presentation, language, methodology, and visual design. Pre-test and post-test analyses showed significant improvement, with many students initially categorized as Poor and Fair advancing to Good and Excellent categories. Two students demonstrated progress from the Poor to Fair or Good categories, affirming the effectiveness of materials tailored to students' needs. The t-test analysis revealed that pre-test scores significantly influenced post-test outcomes, with each one-unit increase in the pre-test score contributing to a 0.555-unit increase in the post-test score. This flexible and relevant teaching approach effectively enhances the quality of learning and student achievement, while preparing them for future challenges.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics integrates mathematical concepts such as counting, measuring, geometric patterns, and spatial structures with local culture to create more meaningful and contextual learning. This study aims to explore the concept of ethnomathematics in the architecture of the Baitul Hakim Grand Mosque in Madiun City and assess its potential as a learning resource in mathematics learning. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through direct observation of the mosque building, interviews with mosque administrators, and architectural documentation. Data analysis was carried out systematically through method triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results of the study revealed real mathematical activities in the mosque building, namely counting activities (the number of 120 pillars, 5 ablution places, and 1 tower), measuring (the height of the main pillar is 12m, the diameter of the pillar is 50cm, the ablution places are 3x3m and 5x12m, and the tower is 35m high with various diameters), and designing the building (combining elements of Javanese, Arabic, and European architecture). Further exploration shows the existence of flat geometry concepts (rectangle, isosceles triangle, trapezoid), solid shapes (cylinder, cuboid, cone, pyramid), and geometric transformation (reflection on the axis). The conclusion of this study shows that the structure of the mosque can function as a medium for learning mathematics based on culture that can increase learning interest and facilitate student understanding

Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi murid di Indonesia masih belum memadai, meskipun kompetensi ini penting untuk persiapan akademik dan keikutsertaan dalam Asesmen Nasional (AS). Kemampuan numerasi murid yang belum memadai perlu dicarikan solusinya. Salah satu upaya yang diusulkan oleh para peneliti adalah pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis digital. Aplikasi E-NuMeka diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi murid. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk membuat platform media digital "E-NuMeka" yang memenuhi persyaratan validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi murid. Penulisan ini menggunakan Software Development Life Cycle dengan menggunakan teknik prototyping sebagai metodologi penulisan dan pengembangannya. Aplikasi E-NuMeka yang dikembangkan dinilai valid dan layak untuk digunakan, serta memperlihatkan efektivitas dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi matematika murid. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan analisis Paired Samples Test, yang mana signifikansi (2-tailed) dengan asumsi varians yang sama adalah 0,000, yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0,05. Aplikasi E-NuMeka dinilai praktis, dengan skor evaluasi kuesioner murid rata-rata 80,20. Penulisan ini memperlihatkan jika program E-NuMeka dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi matematika di kalangan murid sekolah menengah atas.Students' numeracy skills in Indonesia are still inadequate, although this competency is important for academic preparation and participation in the National Assessment (AN). Students' inadequate numeracy skills need to be solved. One of the efforts proposed by researchers is the development of digital-based learning media. The E-NuMeka application is expected to improve students' numeracy skills. This project aims to create a digital media platform "E-NuMeka" that meets the requirements of validity, effectiveness, and practicality to improve students' numeracy literacy. This study uses the Software Development Life Cycle using prototyping techniques as its research and development methodology. The E-NuMeka application developed was considered valid and feasible to use with the results of the validation of material experts obtaining an average value of 88.75 and 90, then the average validation assessment from media experts was 79 and 77.66 with a valid category. And shows the effectiveness in improving students' mathematical numeracy skills, this is proven by the Paired Samples Test analysis, where the significance (2-tailed) assuming the same variance is 0.000, which means it is less than 0.05. The E-NuMeka application is considered practical, with an average student questionnaire evaluation score of 80.20. This study shows that the E-NuMeka program can improve mathematical numeracy literacy skills among high school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hambatan-hambatan belajar siswa pada konsep persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak satu variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan paradigma interpretif dan paradigma kritis.  Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta (SMAS) di Kota Bandung Provinsi Jawa Barat. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan materi yang sudah dipelajari mengenai persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak satu variabel. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Tes terdiri dari 4 soal tentang materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak satu variabel yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli matematika. Setelah siswa menyelesaikan tes, peneliti mengamati  jawaban siswa dan memilih beberapa siswa untuk dilakukan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, siswa mengalami tiga jenis hambatan belajar yaitu hambatan epistemologis, ontogenik, dan didaktis. Siswa mengalami  hambatan epistemologis karena pemahaman konsep yang tidak lengkap dan tidak terbiasa menerapkan konsep matematika yang satu ke konsep matematika yang lain. Kemudian, siswa juga mengalami hambatan belajar secara ontogenik karena tidak memahami konsep persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak sat variabel. Selain itu, proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru juga menjadi faktor dimana siswa mengalami hambatan didaktis. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengilustrasikan dari keadaan kondisi siswa saat mempelajari persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak satu variabel. Dengan temuuan hasil penelitian, diperlukan adanya desain didaktis terhadap materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak sat variabel yang dapat meminimalisir terjadinya hambatan-hambatan belajar yang telah teridentifikasi.

Abstract

The difficulty of students at SMPN 1 Sukowono in visualizing polyhedra remains a fundamental problem. As many as 75% of students scored below the minimum mastery criteria, indicating weak spatial abilities in spatial visualization. There has been no follow-up because students' spatial abilities based on visuality levels have not been identified as the basis for remedial programs. This study aims to analyze students’ spatial abilities in solving problems related to polyhedra based on level of visuality. A qualitative descriptive method was employed at SMPN 1 Sukowono in the 2022/2023 academic year. The subjects were four eighth-grade students with different levels of visuality: non-visualizers, abstract-harmonic, pictorial-harmonic, visualizers. The instruments used were essay tests and MPI questionnaires. Data analysis included condensation, display, conclusion drawing. The validity of the data used was data triangulation. The results showed that non-visualizers mastered four indicators of spatial ability: spatial-orientation, spatial-perception, spatial-relations, spatial-visualization. Pictorial-harmonic students mastered three indicators: spatial-perception, spatial-visualization, mental-rotation. Abstract-harmonic and visualizer students mastered all indicators of spatial ability. It is concluded that abstract-harmonic and visualizer students demonstrated stronger spatial abilities in solving polyhedron problems. The implications of this study can serve as a basis for developing remedial programs to to enhance students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah matematika telah menjadi pusat pembelajaran matematika saat ini. Namun kenyataan menunjukkan bahwa, untuk jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), kemampuan ini masih sangat tertinggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-worksheet berbasis etnomatematika yang dapat mengasah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Pendekatan etnomatematika digunakan untuk mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan konteks budaya lokal, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna. Metode penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan ADDIE dipilih karena sesuai dengan konteks penelitian. Subjek uji coba adalah siswa SMP pada salah satu sekolah di Jakarta Timur. Seluruh Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan divalidasi oleh ahli pendidikan matematika dan praktisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-worksheet yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat kelayakan sangat layak dan tingkat keefektifan sangat efektif. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah e-worksheet berbasis etnomatematika layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP. Dengan tersedianya eworksheet ini dapat memberikan kualitas pembelajaran matematika yang lebih bermakna dan relevan. Mathematical problem solving has become a central skill in mathematics learning today. However, this skill is still significantly underdeveloped at the junior high school (SMP) level. This study aims to develop an ethnomathematics-based e-worksheet that can hone the mathematical problem-solving skills of junior high school (SMP) students. The ethnomathematics approach is used to link mathematical concepts to the local cultural context, making learning more meaningful. The ADDIE development research method was chosen because it is appropriate to the research context. The trial subjects were junior high school students at a school in East Jakarta. All research instruments used were validated by mathematics education experts and practitioners. The results showed that the developed e-worksheet had a very good level of feasibility and a very effective level of effectiveness. The conclusion of this study is that the ethnomathematics-based e-worksheet is suitable for use as an innovative learning medium to improve junior high school students' mathematical problem-solving skills. The availability of this e-worksheet can provide a more meaningful and relevant quality of mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study is based on the fact that mathematics learning materials have been unappealing, causing students to quickly become bored and saturated with the learning situation. This has resulted in students not actively participating in lectures, revealing a low level of student conceptual understanding and critical thinking in the context of functions. The research focuses on developing an interactive e-module specifically for university students on the topics of properties and operations of functions, function composition, inverse functions, and function limits, particularly for those in the Information Systems program at ITB Stikom Bali. The e-module, which integrated RME principles such as contextual problems and self-directed learning, was tested using a development research design based on the Plomp model with three methodological phases: preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The research data collection methods udes were from questionnaires for lecturer and students, observation results of lecturer and students during the trial, interviews with lecturers and students, also essay tests for students. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test, it is known that the p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in students’ conceptual understanding and critical thinking abilities. Additionally, an RME-based e-module was developed with the following characteristics: (1) provides instructions that facilitate self-directed learning for contextual problems, supported by GeoGebra technology; (2) Incorporates RME characteristics (both “model of” and “model for”) to enhance critical thingking and conceptual understanding; (3) Not dependent on other teaching materials because its content is interconnected and self-sufficient; (4) interctive and adapts to technological advancements, making it accessible on both Android and iOS devices; and (5) Allows for independent evaluation through quiz questions and formative tes questions using Google Forms features. The study offers a model for future applications of RME in higher education.Penelitian ini didasari pada bahan belajar matematika selama ini tidak menarik, sehingga membuat mahasiswa cepat jenuh dan bosan dalam situasi belajarnya. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan mahasiswa tidak berperan aktif dalam perkuliahan, yang mengungkap rendahnya tingkat pemahaman konseptual dan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam konteks fungsi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan e-modul interaktif yang dirancang khusus untuk mahasiswa pada topik sifat dan operasi fungsi, komposisi fungsi, invers fungsi dan limit fungsi, khususnya pada program studi Sistem Informasi di ITB Stikom Bali. E-modul yang mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip RME, seperti masalah kontekstual dan pembelajaran mandiri, diuji dengan desain penelitian pengembangan berdasarkan model Plomp dengan 3 tahapan metode, yaitu preliminary research, development/ fase prototyping, dan assessment. Metode pengambilan data penelitian yang digunakan berasal dari hasil kuesioner untuk dosen dan mahasiswa, hasil observasi terhadap dosen dan mahasiswa selama uji coba, wawancara kepada dosen dan mahasiswa, serta tes esay yang ditujukan untuk mahasiswa. Hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test, diketahui nilai p = 0.000 < 0.05, sehingga ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test dalam pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Selain itu, telah dihasilkan e-modul berbasis RME dengan karakteristik: (1) terdapat instruksi yang membantu belajar secara mandiri terhadap masalah kontekstual difasilitasi teknologi GeoGebra; (2) memiliki karakteristik RME (model of dan model for) untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep; (3) tidak tergantung pada bahan ajar lain karena memiliki sajian materi saling terkoneksi; (4) interaktif dengan mengadaptasi perkembangan IPTEK yang dapat diakses dari android dan iOS; dan (5) dapat melakukan evaluasi secara mandiri pada soal kuis dan soal tes formatif menggunakan fitur Googleform. Penelitian ini menawarkan model untuk aplikasi RME di pendidikan tinggi di masa depan.

Abstract

The research started from the problem of online learning which requires learning media to motivate students to increase their interest in learning. Researchers developed mathematics learning media based on the online game PAMUSI on the material Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) and Greatest Common Factor (GCF). This research aims to find out the influence and feasibility of the PAMUSI online game media on GCF and LCM material in class IV at Tegalpanggung Elementary School. The research method uses Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE development model. The stages in this research include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subjects of this research were fourth grade students at Tegalpanggung Elementary School. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and literature study. The analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the validator research showed that the PAMUSI online game learning media was suitable for use to increase interest in learning. The results of material validation obtained an average score of 4.3 in the "very good" category and media validation obtained an average score of 4.95 in the "very good" category. Limited field trials obtained an average score of 2.86 from student responses using the reference scale of three N-Gain formulas in the "high" category and an average score of 3.98 from teacher responses using four scale conversions in the "very" category. good category". This learning media motivates students to learn mathematics independently, especially HCF and LCM material because students are more challenged by playing PAMUSI online game-based learning media.Penelitian berawal dari permasalahan pembelajaran daring yang memerlukan media pembelajaran untuk memotivasi siswa dalam meningkatkan minat belajar. Peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis game online PAMUSI pada materi Kelipatan Persekutuan Terendah (KPK) dan Faktor Persekutuan Tertinggi (FPB). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dan kelayakan media game online PAMUSI pada materi FPB dan KPK di kelas IV SD Tegalpanggung. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (RnD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Tegalpanggung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian validator diperoleh hasil bahwa media pembelajaran game online PAMUSI layak digunakan ntuk meningkatkan minat belajar. Hasil validasi materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,3 dengan kategori “sangat baik” dan validasi media memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,95 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Uji coba lapangan terbatas memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 2,86 dari respon siswa dengan menggunakan skala acuan tiga rumus N-Gain pada kategori “tinggi” dan skor rata-rata sebesar 3,98 dari respon guru dengan konversi empat skala pada kategori “sangat kategori baik". Media pembelajaran ini memotivasi siswa untuk belajar matematika secara mandiri khususnya materi FPB dan KPK dikarenakan siswa lebih tertantang memainkan media pembelajaran berbasis game online PAMUSI.

Abstract

Covariational reasoning is closely related to the concept of functions, as both involve relationships between two quantities. Although it is useful for understanding change and interdependence between quantities, the notion of covariation is rarely introduced directly to students since it is not explicitly included in the school curriculum. This study aims to explore students’ covariational reasoning in constructing function graphs in the context of a filling bottle problem. Three aspects of covariational reasoning were analyzed: identifying variables, ways of coordinating variables, and quantifying the rate of change. This qualitative research employed a case study design and involved three 11th-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained from students’ responses to the filling bottle task and interviews, and analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that (1) students had difficulty identifying the independent and dependent variables in a functional problem, especially graph, (2) students tended to rely on secondary variables when coordinating the independent and dependent variables, and (3) students’ ability to quantify the rate of change depended on their ability to identify and coordinate the two variables.

Abstract

Pembelajaran trigonometri di SMK masih terkendala rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, dan keterbatasan media digital interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital “jam sinchan” untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan pemahaman konsep trigonometri siswa SMK program keahlian Teknik Mesin di Kabupaten Karawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE, melibatkan 20 siswa kelas XI. Instrumen penelitian mencakup lembar validasi ahli media dan materi, angket respon siswa, observasi keterlaksanaan, serta tes uraian pemahaman konsep. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media dinyatakan sangat layak dengan skor 96% dari ahli media dan 92% dari ahli materi. Respon siswa juga sangat positif dengan persentase minat belajar 88,33%, kemudahan pemahaman 90%, dan kemudahan penggunaan 76,67%, sehingga total respon mencapai 84,38%. Dengan demikian, media “jam sinchan” terbukti valid, praktis, dan efktif untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan pemahaman konsep trigonometri sekaligus menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan.Trigonometry learning in vocational high schools (SMK) still encounters challenges such as limited conceptual understanding, low learning interest, and the lack of interactive digital media. This study aims to develop a digital learning medium called “Jam Sinchan” to facilitate students’ attainment of conceptual understanding in trigonometry within the Mechanical Engineering program at a vocational high school in Karawang Regency. The research employed a research and development method using the ADDIE model with a sample of 20 eleventh-grade students. The instruments included validation sheets from media and material experts, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and a conceptual understanding test. The validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible, with scores of 96% from media experts and 92% from material experts. Student responses were also highly positive, with percentages of 88.33% for learning interest, 90% for ease of understanding, and 76.67% for ease of use, yielding an overall feasibility score of 84.38%. Thus, “Jam Sinchan” is valid, practical, and effective in supporting students’ conceptual understanding of trigonometry while creating a more engaging learning experience.
