Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model combined with flashcards in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes among second-grade students at SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta. The approach used was quantitative, with a pre-experimental method and a One-Group Pretest-Posttest research design. All 112 second-grade students served as the population in this study, while class IId, consisting of 28 students, served as the sample, using a non-probability sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through several methods, such as observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using a normality test and a Paired Sample T-test for hypotheses. The results showed a significant change in Indonesian language learning outcomes after the use of flashcards. This is evident from the comparison of pretest and posttest scores, where the Paired Sample T-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than α (0.05). This means there was a significant difference between the scores before and after the treatment. The average student pretest score of 50.71 increased to 79.10 in the posttest. This increase indicates that learning using flashcards positively impacts students' understanding of Indonesian. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the TGT cooperative learning model supported by flashcards positively contributes to improving student learning outcomes in grade II of SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on students' learning outcomes in the fourth-grade IPAS subject, "Aku dan Kebutuhanku" (Me and My Needs). The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research design. Total sampling technique was used for sample selection. The research design employed was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The success rate of students' learning outcomes increased, as evidenced by the calculation of the correlation coefficient, where the calculated r-value (0.626) was greater than or equal to the table r-value (0.349). Furthermore, hypothesis testing compared the calculated t-value to the table t-value. The calculated t-value was 4.395, while the table t-value was 1.693. Because the calculated t-value was greater than or equal to the table t-value (4.395 ≥ 1.693), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. This indicates that there is a significant effect of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on students' learning outcomes in the fourth-grade IPAS class.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in the IPAS IV subject at SD Negeri 060841 Medan Petisah in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research design, and the sample size is 30 students selected using the total sampling technique. The research instruments include a questionnaire and a multiple-choice test. The students' learning outcomes show an average pretest score of 57.2, while the average posttest score is 82.53, and the questionnaire yielded an average score of 75.2. The level of success in student learning outcomes increased, as evidenced by the correlation test results obtained, which were 0.723, meaning that r_calculated ≥ r_table 0.723 ≥ 0.361. Furthermore, the hypothesis testing (t-test) showed t_calculated ≥ t_table, i.e., 5.544 ≥ 1.697, so Ha was accepted. This indicates that there is a significant positive effect of the Problem-Based Learning Model Assisted by Wordwall on Student Learning Outcomes in the IPAS IV Subject at SD Negeri 060841 Medan Petisah in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

Elementary school is a crucial stage for shaping students’ character and personality. However, learning practices in schools are still predominantly teacher-centered and focused on cognitive achievement, resulting in less optimal character development. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a humanistic learning approach and its implications for the development of positive character among elementary school students. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving teachers, students, and the school principal as research participants, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using an interactive data analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of humanistic learning is reflected in student-centered learning practices, the teacher’s role as a facilitator, and the creation of a safe, comfortable, and inclusive learning environment. The humanistic approach contributes positively to students’ personality development at SDN Sukorejo II, including increased self-confidence, responsibility, empathy, creativity, and collaboration skills. Therefore, humanistic learning is considered effective in supporting the holistic development of elementary school students, encompassing cognitive, affective, and social dimensions.

Abstract

Curriculum development that is relevant to local social and cultural contexts is a fundamental necessity in modern education. The curriculum functions not only as an academic framework but also as a medium for transmitting values, shaping character, and strengthening students’ cultural identity. This study aims to describe the integration of Masipature Hutanabe values in curriculum development based on the Murray Print Model and the Roberts S. Zais Model, as well as to analyze its implications for curriculum relevance and students’ character development. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using a qualitative descriptive method. The stages of curriculum development followed the Murray Print Model, which includes needs analysis, formulation of objectives, development and organization of content, design of learning experiences, and curriculum evaluation. The Roberts S. Zais Model was used as a conceptual framework to strengthen the philosophical and sociological foundations, educational objectives, and evaluation system of the curriculum. Data were collected through document analysis, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions involving educators and local cultural figures. The findings indicate that Masipature Hutanabe values—reflecting togetherness, mutual cooperation, and social responsibility—can be systematically integrated into learning objectives, curriculum content, instructional strategies, and evaluation processes. The integration of local wisdom values enhances the relevance of learning, strengthens character education, and supports the development of a contextual and sustainable curriculum.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research is to develop a viable and effective interactive video-quiz medium based on the Educaplay platform for use in fifth-grade IPAS instruction on the topic “Let’s Get to Know Our Earth.” The research design employed is research and development (R&D), utilizing the 4D model, which comprises the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The media validation results from media experts and subject matter experts indicated that the developed media met the “highly suitable” criteria, with a 96% approval rate from media experts and a 94% approval rate from subject matter experts. The response rates from teachers (92%) and students (91%) regarding the media also fell into the “very good” category, thus the media was deemed practical for use in instruction. Student learning outcomes showed an improvement, as evidenced by a pretest average score of 52—which was still relatively low—and a significant increase to 81 on the posttest following the use of the media. The results of the t-test data analysis showed a value (Sig. 2-tailed) < 0.05, so it can be said that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the use of the media. Meanwhile, the results of the N-Gain test indicate the media’s effectiveness is in the “fair” category. Thus, it can be concluded that the interactive video-quiz media based on the Educaplay platform is suitable and effective for enhancing students’ curiosity and learning outcomes
