Abstract

This study examines the integration of managerial competence with local cultural values in improving teacher performance at MTs Negeri 1 West Lampung. The background of this research is based on the importance of effective educational management that not only relies on formal managerial functions but also incorporates local wisdom as a contextual foundation for leadership. The study aims to explore how managerial competence based on Piil Pesenggiri values is implemented and its implications for teacher performance. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data are collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and educational staff. The findings show that managerial competence integrated with Piil Pesenggiri values is implemented through planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling functions in a systematic and participatory manner. These values shape a collaborative, professional, and humanistic work culture that enhances teacher discipline, responsibility, motivation, and instructional quality. The study also finds that supporting factors include leadership commitment, positive organizational culture, and strong social cohesion, while obstacles arise from coordination issues and varying levels of value internalization among teachers. The conclusion indicates that the integration of managerial competence with local cultural values significantly contributes to improving teacher performance and creates a sustainable and value-based educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the implementation of the 'Ali Method in improving the quality of learning tahsin Al-Qur'an at SDITQ Al Kautsar Sepatan Timur, Tangerang Regency. The background of this research is based on the low ability of students to read the Qur'an and the importance of systematic learning management from the perspective of Islamic education management. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with triangulation techniques to maintain data validity. The results of the study show that the implementation of the 'Ali Method has been quite effective through the application of education management functions which include planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision. Learning is carried out in a structured manner through the 3T approach (Talqin, Tarkiz, Tahqiq) and a leveling system that is able to improve the quality of students' reading of the Qur'an. This method has the advantage of using code, movement, and hands-on learning that makes it easier for students to understand. However, there are still several obstacles, such as not optimal learning differentiation, variations in teacher competencies, and evaluation and supervision systems that are not fully data-based. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of Islamic education management studies, especially on tahsin learning management, as well as practical implications for educational institutions in managing Qur'an learning more effectively, systematically, and sustainably.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze archival management in realizing administrative order at the Hayatuddiyar Islamic Boarding School Pekanbaru. Archives have a strategic role as a center of authentic information and evidence that supports decision-making, planning, and evaluation of institutional performance. This study uses a qualitative approach with an evaluative descriptive design. The informants consist of school principals, administrative staff, and teachers who are selected purposively. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis uses an interactive model that includes reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and member checks. The results of the study show that archive management has been run based on four management functions, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. In the planning stage, inventory, classification, and digitization of cloud-based archives have been carried out, but they have not been supported by formal standard operating procedures (SOPs). The organizing stage shows that there is a division of tasks between physical and digital archive managers, although it does not yet have a clear organizational structure and task description. At the implementation stage, the archival system has run in a hybrid manner and is integrated in administrative activities, but it has not been optimal in terms of archive shrinkage. Meanwhile, the supervision stage is actively carried out by the leadership through document checks and periodic evaluations, but it has not been systematically documented. Thus, it is necessary to strengthen a more structured, formal, and sustainable archival system to increase the effectiveness of administrative order in the pesantren environment.
