Abstract

The Ideal Problem Solving model is designed to help to identify and understand the problem solving to practice the ability of creativity to describe the systematic procedure of the word “Ideal” and is used to guide teachers to help students how to identify problems, define goals, explore exploration strategies, anticipate the results and act and see and learn. This research is experimental. This research aims to find out the increase in students 'creativity ability in learning straight-motion material with constant speed and acceleration and find out the consistency of increasing students' creative ability. The research subjects were 62 students MIA-1 and MIA-2 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Ternate. This research is quantitative descriptive research methods with One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test design, the variables used in this study were independent namely the Ideal Problem Solving Model, and the dependent variable increase students ' creative ability. The Technique of collecting data in this research is the observation of student activities, Creativity Tests, and questionnaires. The instruments are in the form of essay questions, consist of 7 items that have been tested, the N-Gain formula was used to calculate students' creative abilities, through the Pre-test with the lowest average score is 27 in the MIA-1 class and the Post-test with an average score is 70, for the MIA-2 class through the Pre-test with the lowest average score is 30 and through the Post-test with an average score is 72. Research results show that an increase in students' creative abilities after applying the IDEAL Problem Solve learning model with N-Gain 62% for MIA-1 and 61% for MIA-2 moderate category, after an increase in creativity is observed, it is tested using the Cooperative Test or the two-party Test (t) to see the consistency of differences, the results of the study showed that t-count <t-table or 0.09 <2,000 and there is no consistent difference in increasing the ability of creativity after applying the IDEAL Problem Solving model.

Abstract

The research objectives consist of (1) To increase students reading comprehension understanding in using Know Want and To Learn strategy and (2) To Describe the students reading comprehension ability in using this teaching strategy by the students of 5th grade  SD Inpres Halmahera Barat. Classroom action research has become the kind or type of research that used it. Thus the research consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Also, this research used quantitative and qualitative approaches in determining the data analysis. The data considered by the testing process, observation activities (between students and teachers), and also students post-test. The result of both cycles was as follows: (1) the student’s reading comprehension ability score averages at the first cycle were 70 and in the second cycle became 95. It means that the learning strategy functions better in the process and also students’ capability in reading comprehension learning objectives is reached.

Abstract

Various efforts are made to improve education quality in schools become a priority. One of the efforts that can be taken is to improve the quality of the learning process. Improving the quality of the learning process can be done by increasing the potential of the teacher as one of the elements in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to obtain student learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model of the type of think pair share (TPS) integrated with additives and addictive substances in food and drinks at a State Junior High School 1West Halmahera. This research is a quasi-experimental design, consisting of two experimental classes with one group pretest-posttest research design. The results showed that the think Pair share (TPS) learning model integrated scientific was able to improve student learning outcomes in additives and addictive substances in food and drinks. The pieces of evidence can be seen by the average increase in student learning outcomes before after treatment 40.84 to 73.06. Thus it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share learning model integrated science has the potential to improve student cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the increasing learning model of snowball throwing in students learning achievement on the subject matter of atomic structure in grade X of SMAN 11 Kota Ternate amounting to 15 students. The sample of this research was students grade X that was taken by saturated sampling. The instrument used in this research is essay consist of 9 items to use for quantifying students learning achievement. The technique of data analysis through inferential statistics analysis by using spss 21. The result shows that there are improvements in students learning achievement in grade X of SMAN 11 Kota Ternate on the subject matter of atomic structure based on the hypotheses by t count ˃ t table or 14,140 ˃ 2,144. The gain value was 0,30 shows the was on interpretation of students learning achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on students' Science Process Skills. This research is Experimental research designed. The study was conducted at junior high school one West Halmahera which is a state school. The research sample consisted of Class VIIA as Experiment Class and Class VIIC as Control Class. There are 32 students in each class. The research instrument used was a questionnaire for the product expert validation test. The Science Process Skill Test with inferential analysis uses the ANACOVA test to test the research hypothesis. The results of the study showed that the science process skills of students in the pre-test had a significant value (p) of 0,000 while for the guided inquiry model of 0.010. The test results in Table 1 also obtained a significance value (sig) of 0,000. This significant value is smaller than the alpha value of 0.05, so the statistical hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and accepts the research hypothesis. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of guided inquiry learning models on the science process skills of students of junior high school one West Halmahera.

Abstract

The spatial pattern of Ternate City has experienced a significant development mainly on the physical expression of urban areas which is driven by the growth of built-up areas in a relatively fast time. The built-up area is an important element of the phenomenon of urban development that is inseparable from the history of city growth, current conditions, and future city growth. Analysis of urban land cover using remote sensing data with data extraction related to built-up areas in 27 coastal villages of Ternate City. Image data used are Landsat 8 OLI multispectral imagery for the 2016 year recording with using channels 2 to 8. The results of the built-up area extraction using a maximum likelihood classified indicate that the growth of the built-up area is very massive, especially for the four villages which are including region the Ternate City Service Center. The percentage of built-up area is a relative representation of the density of land cover is very high, especially some villages areas bordering sea waters within the City of Ternate.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine how primary schools students in rural Indonesia are constructed in a photo. The paper discusses issues on social justice, equity, and access to education for primary school students in rural Indonesia as visually represented in the photo. Thematic analysis is used within the context of critical approach by referring to relevant literatures. Why the photo as an interesting primary source for qualitative research is selected and why the thematic analysis and the critical approach are applied in this paper are briefly described.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu (1) mengetahui proses peningkatan kemampuan berbicara melalui model Talking Stick dipadu dengan media kartu cerita pada siswa kelas III SDN 12 Kota Ternate, (2) mengetahui hasil peningkatan kemampuan berbicara melalui model Talking Stick dipadu dengan  media kartu cerita pada siswa kelas III SDN 12 Kota Ternate. Proses penerapan  model Talking Stick dipadu dengan media kartu cerita dibagi dalam beberapa langkah kegiatan pembelajaran sebagai berikut : (1) Membagi siswa dalam 5 kelompok, (2) Membagi kartu cerita kepada setiap siswa, (3) Memberikan penjelasan  mengenai model pembelajaran Talking Stick  dipadu dengan media kartu cerita, (4) Siswa berdiskusi dengan teman kelompoknya, kemudian masing-masing menulis tentang peristiwa seperti pada kartu cerita yang telah di bagikan, (5) Setelah itu siswa membuat sebuah lingkaran, (6) Guru memberikan tongkat kepada seorang siswa, sambil menyanyikan lagu siswa menggulir tongkat kepada temannya, (7) Siswa yang mendapatkan tongkat, harus berbicara di depan kelas sesuai materi yang diterima. Peningkatan kemampuan berbicara melalui  penerapan model Talking Stick dipadu dengan media kartu cerita yang menunjukan ketutasan siswa  sebesar 25% atau 6 siswa yang tuntas  dari 24 siswa yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran di kelas dengan jumlah nilai rata-rata pada siklus I adalah 56,50%. Sedangkan pada siklus II pesentase siswa  meningkat menjadi 87,50% atau 21 siswa yang tuntas dari 24 siswa yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran dikelas dengan jumlah nila rata-rata pada siklus II adalah 73,25%. Oleh karena itu, penerapan model Talking Stick dipadu dengan media kartu cerita ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara pada siswa kelas III SDN 12 Kota Ternate yang dilihat dari hasil siklus I dan siklus II.

Abstract

Indonesia as a large archipelagic country causes Indonesia to have the largest number of regional languages in the world. Each region has its own regional language, so for the purposes of communication that unites the nation, a unified language is needed, Indonesian. Meanwhile, for the purposes of international relations, foreign languages, especially English, are vital. Thus, languages in Indonesia are categorized into regional languages, national languages, and foreign languages. As a means of communication, the language used reflects the function and character of the speaker. This paper discusses the nature of language, nationalism, national identity in language education policy.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan media gambar pada siswa kelas IV SD negeri 3 halmahera selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas ( PTK ) yang dilakukan dan dilaksanakan terdiri dari 2 siklus yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan yang berjumlah 10 siswa. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi dan teknik tes. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian ini data yang diperoleh adalah kemampuan belajar siswa pada siklus I menunjukan  6 siswa atau 60% , sedangkan yang belum tuntas sebanyak 4 siswa atau 20% dengan nilai rata-rata presentase pada siklus I adalah 68.00%. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan siklus II dengan perolehan kemampuan belajar siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan sebanyak 8 siswa atau 80%, sedangkan yang belum tuntas sebanyak 2 siswa atau 20%. Dengan nilai rata-rata persentase 79.00% di Siklus II Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui media gambar pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 11.00%.
