Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the implementation of scientific learning at SMA Negeri 25 Pulau Makian, Kec. Makian Barat, and (2) Improving students' scientific thinking skills through scientific learning. This study is a classroom action research (Class Room Action Research). The design of study used Kemmis and McTaggart model which included four steps (steps): (1) planning; (2) actions; (3) observation; and (4) reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out by (1) Test, test used to determine students' scientific thinking skills, (2) observation is conducted to observe the learning process using a scientific approach model. The observation  focus on the implementation of learning by teachers starting from initial activities, core activities, and final activities, as well as student activities in learning, and (3) documentation used to take pictures/photos of the implementation of learning by teachers and student activities in learning. Students' scientific thinking ability was analyzed qualitatively with a scale of five categories, the implementation of learning by teachers was analyzed qualitatively with a scale of five categories, and students' learning activities were analyzed qualitatively with a scale of four categories. The results showed that (1) the average percentage of students' scientific thinking skills in cycle one obtained a value of 24% with very poor criteria and increased in cycle two by 75% with good criteria, and (2) the average percentage of learning implementation by the teacher in the first cycle obtained a score of 87% with very good criteria and increased again in the second cycle by 100% with the same criteria. Meanwhile, for student activity, the average percentage of cycle one is 71% with high criteria and has increased in cycle two by 82% with very high criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Reading Questioning And Answering (RQA) learning model through Virtual Class on metacognitive skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students in the biology education study program in the basic teaching ability course. There are two variables in this study, namely the independent variable is the Reading Questioning And Answering (RQA) Learning Model and the dependent variable is Metacognitive Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The form of research used is a quasi-experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. Data collection techniques using the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MCAI) Questionnaire, Cognitive Learning Outcomes Test and Documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the Reading Questioning And Answering (RQA) learning model through the Virtual Class on metacognitive skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students of the biology education study program in the subject of basic teaching abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Using Gadgets (Smartphones) on Aspects of Children's Emotional and Social Development at SD Negeri 50 Ternate City. The method used in this study is quantitative survey with Cross Sectionalapproach. The population used in this study was students of SD Negeri 50 Ternate City aged 9-12 years with a total of 35 students while for the samples used in this study were students of SD Negeri 50 Ternate City aged 9-12 years with a total of 32 students. Sampling techniques used are Stratified Random Sampling. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables (X) the use of gadgets (smartphones), dependent variables (Y1) emotional development and dependent variables (Y2) social development. To obtain data in this study, questionnaires /questionnaires were distributed to students 9-12 years old. Questionnaires / questionnaires in this study using guttmannscale, with the form of positive and negative statements as many as 18 items. Then data analysis techniques using univariate and multivariate data analysis. Based on the results of the study using univariate data analysis obtained the use of gadgets (Smartphones) by 50% and emotional and social development by 56% while for the results of data analysis using manova test obtained significant values of 0.000 where 0.000 < 0.05 means H0 (reject) and H1 (receive). Thus, it can be concluded that the influence of the use of gadgets (smartphones) on aspects of emotional and social development of children.

Abstract

The development research done at MTs Negeri 2 Halmahera Utara aims to: (1) produce physics teaching materials based on local wisdom in the Energy material for MTs class VII students, and (2) determine the feasibility of physics teaching materials based on local wisdom Energy materials for MTs students in class VII. This development research refers to the 4 steps of the 4-D model development design proposed by Thiagarajan, namely the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The product trial consisted of validation by material experts, media experts, linguists, science teachers, and 5 students of MTs Negeri 2 Halmahera Utara class VII. Collecting data using interview guidelines, expert validation sheets, and understanding test sheets of teaching materials. This research produces a product in the form of physics teaching materials based on local wisdom in the form of a printed book and is suitable for use with eligibility criteria including content eligibility of 94% very feasible category, presentation feasibility 90% very feasible category, graphic feasibility 88% very feasible category, feasibility linguistics of 88% in the very appropriate category, and the average comprehension test of teaching materials of 90.5 in the high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the students' mathematical representation ability after applying the Problem Based Learning model, to find out the increase in students' mathematical representation abilities after the problem based learning model was applied to the Pythagorean theorem material and to know that the application of the problem based learning model could improve students' mathematical representation skills on the Pythagorean theorem material. . The design of this research is experimental design with one group pretest posttest model by making 20 students of SMP 7 Ternate City as the sample. Pretest and posttest instruments were used that had met the validity and reliability to obtain data on students' mathematical representation abilities. The analysis test requirements were carried out with the normality test. Data analysis of students' mathematical representation abilities before and after learning with a problem based learning model was carried out descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that: (1) The mathematical representation ability of SMP 7 Ternate City students after applying the Problem Based Learning model to the Pythagorean Theorem material obtained 4 students with satisfactory qualifications, 2 students with sufficient qualifications; 2 students on less qualifications and 12 students on failed qualifications. ( 2) Improved mathematical representation ability of SMP 7 Ternate City students after applying the Problem Based Learning model to the Pythagorean theorem material in moderate interpretation; and (3) The application of the problem based learning model can improve the mathematical representation ability of the students of SMP Negeri 7 Ternate City on the Pythagorean Theorem material.

Abstract

In general, this research was conducted to improve children's scientific ability through the experimental method. In particular, this research was conducted to determine the increase in scientific ability with the theme of learning fruit plants in children in Group B TK Pembina 3, Tabam Village, Ternate City by using the experimental method. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects in this study were children in Group B of TK Pembina 3 for the 2020/2021 academic year, with a total of 15 students. This research is collaborative between researchers, classroom teachers and school principals. Variable data were collected through structured observation. The results of this study indicate that the experimental method can improve scientific ability in recognizing fruit plants in group B TK Pembina 3. In the first cycle the success rate is 60%, which means only 7 children whose learning outcomes are complete, then in the second cycle the success rate increases to 86 ,7% which means that 13 children's learning outcomes are complete. Thus the success of learning in cycle II is very good because the success rate has met the researchers' criteria, namely >80%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to determine whether the scientifically integrated guided inquiry-based Biology learning device that was developed could be declared feasible to be used in class XI biology learning at SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan (2) to determine the effect of the scientifically integrated Guided Inquiry learning model on learning outcomes. cognitive skills in class XI SMA Negeri 3 South Halmahera (3) to determine the effect of the scientifically integrated Guided Inquiry learning model on science process skills in class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan. This research is a research development or Research and Development (R&D). The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely XI IPA-1 as an experimental class and Class XI IPA-2 as a control class with 36 students. The instrument used was an essay test for science process skills and for cognitive learning outcomes in the form of a multiple choice test (PG). ). Analysis of the data using data analysis of the feasibility of learning devices and normality test, homogeneity assisted by SPSS while hypothesis testing using the Anacova test. The results showed that (1) the -based Biology Learning Toolkit The scientifically integrated guided inquiry developed in class XI of SMA Negeri 3 South Halmahera with a value of 92.7% is categorized as suitable for use (2) there is an influence of the scientifically integrated guided inquiry learning model on cognitive learning outcomes in class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan with a value level significant 0.03> 0.05 (3) there is an effect of scientifically integrated Guided Inquiry Learning Model on science process skills in class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Selatan with a significant value of 0.01> 0.05.

Abstract

Learning in the millennial century really requires soft skills and ICT support skills by utilizing the sophisticated technological sophistication available. The use of various learning models and media, both in the learning process and in the evaluation, gives a new nuance to students (students). Students are always waiting for new things that are presented by the lecturer. A good educator is always missed by his students, because he is always innovating in the learning process. This indirectly provides new experiences in online learning, and students can interact in the form of chatting. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about students 'motivation to study biology education courses, as well as to find out students' improvement and understanding of concepts and subjects. This study uses survey research methods with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted through a survey of Biology education study program students in semester 2 for Animal Diversity courses. Data analysis was calculated based on the number of checklists filled out by respondents, then presented to determine the motivation of each student and look for the value of the gain and the difference between the initial and final knowledge of learning. Each respondent scores are summed with other respondents and averaged so that the average score of respondents' perceptions is obtained overall, then tabulated. The results showed that the perception of students using telegram chatbot with a very happy category by 58%, and very motivational by 67%. While the level of student knowledge becomes more increased with the gain value obtained by 0.78 and is categorized high.

Abstract

The objective of this research were to incerased students in reading comprehension at the 4th grade concluded that (1) highly speed reading without ignoring the students understanding, to gained the fact information, special fact and conclusion (2) the percentage of reading comprehension technique scanning in each cycles level of learning activity  became high. The result of each cycle by the implementation scanning technique  to improve speed reading showed at the first cycle was  4 (47,94%) students were achieved the KKM of 17 students, while the second cycle the students learning activities achieved  14 (76,95 %) of completeness of the students result. Based on the result of the implementation scanning technic using  in speed reading concluded that this technic could be used as a  strategy and technique in achieved the  students reading competence and students developing skills in learning a language skill at SD Negeri 35 Kota Ternate and could be threaten in another elementary  school level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the literacy level of the assessment of prospective teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Unkhair. Respondents in this study were 3rd, 5th, and 7th semester students spread over 10 FKIP study programs, respondents were asked to fill out an assessment literacy test instrument which was developed based on the Assessment Literacy Standard. There are seven assessment literacy standards that can be used to measure the assessment literacy of prospective teachers, including: choosing assessment methods, developing assessment methods, managing and interpreting assessment results, using assessment results, developing assessment procedures, communicating assessment results and recognizing unethical assessment methods, illegal, and inappropriate. The instrument was given to respondents through the googleform application. The collected data was then analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results of this research analysis can reveal the level of literacy skills in the assessment of prospective teachers in 10 study programs as follows: Indonesian Language and Literature Education 73% high category, English Language Education 72% high category, Pancasila and Citizenship education 74% high category, Geography Education 75% category High category, Chemistry Education 77% high category, Physics Education 78% high category, Biology Education 78% high category, Early Childhood Education 76% high category and Elementary School Teacher Education 78% high category. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the average assessment literacy ability for prospective teachers in FKIP is in the high category, this happens because the content of the learning evaluation courses in each FKIP study program has given a good understanding to prospective teacher students as a provision for later becoming teachers who are professional in assessing and evaluating students in schools.
