Abstract

This study aimed to develop android-based mobile learning and to find out its effectiveness in improving student cognitive learning outcomes in social studies learning. The development process refers to the model of Dick et al. The results of the development are in the form of android-based mobile learning with the main components, namely: 1) introduction to subjects; 2) subject competence; 3) material; and 4) practice questions in the form of quizzes. The feasibility level of the social studies material test is 89.91 percent very feasible category and learning media test is 89.42 percent very feasible category. Sequentially the feasibility level for individual trials was 77.78 percent in the feasible category, the small group trial was 77.92 percent in the feasible category, and the field trial was 83.43 percent for the very feasible category. The product effectiveness test using the t-test showed mobile use. Android-based learning can improve student cognitive learning outcomes in social studies subjects. The media developed has been tested and can be tested on a wider range of subjects for product perfection. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um022v6i12021p45

Abstract

This thesis attempts to review how the Young People of Tattoo Alley interpret tattoos and social movements carried out to fight stigma. The process of extracting data is done through a qualitative approach. This study uses data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation. The research location is in Tattoo Alley, Kemantren Village, Malang Regency. The process of data analysis is done through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the validity of the data was examined using source triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that: First, there are two types of meaning of tattoos that are distinguished by phase, namely the first phase of meaning of tattoos tends to be negative, while the second phase of tattoos is more positively interpreted. Second, forms of social movements undertaken by Tattoo Alley Young People to fight stigma and discrimination include: conducting tutoring, training in mask craft, training in traditional musical instruments, and implementing teaching programs conducted by thugs. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um022v5i22020p63

Abstract

The development and maturity of a person's business is influenced by many factors. Many factors also influence the development of pilot businesses that are started and carried out by students. One of the factors that play an essential role in influencing young entrepreneurs can come from their parents or family environment. This article aims to identify and how the family's role in motivating and developing young entrepreneurs' potential. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. In-depth interviews carried out data collection. The data obtained were then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques, which consisted of 4 stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that entrepreneurial students who had sufficiently developed businesses received much support from their families. Parents' role as a form of support for their children in entrepreneurship is social, instrumental, emotional, and other support. The concrete form of this support is supported in providing facilities for business development, accompanying and assisting the business carried out by their children, giving permission and trust in children. Abstract

Tourism is an important sector in improving the economy of a region. Klaten Regency is known as 1001 umbul regency, of which the umbul tourism object is spread over 26 districts. This study aims to identify the distribution and potential of umbul tourism objects in Klaten Regency. This research is a quantitative approach with survei method, using spatial analysis, namely GIS and analysis of scoring and classification. Based on the results of this study, the distribution of umbul tourism objects in Klaten Regency is spread over seven districts, which form a straight line and are still in one aquifer network. The internal potential have high value, namely Umbul Brintik, Susuhan, Pelem, and Ponggok. The high external factors are owned by Umbul Susuhan,Ponggok, and Pelem. The potential for a combination of internal and external factors with a high value is owned by Umbul Brinta, Susuhan, Pelem, and Ponggok. Umbul Gedaren and Jolotundo still have moderate potential. Umbul Gedaren and Jolotundo still need to improve every element in internal and external factors so that these two tourism objects can be develop optimally. The potential of this umbul tourism object, if it is developed optimally, will later be useful for the people around the tour which can later improve the economy and welfare of the community. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um022v5i22020p79

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the main skills that students must mastered in order to respond the challenges of globalization and the demands of skilled labor in this disruption era. Various learning models, methods and strategies are developed to meet these objectives. One of the way is the implementation of teaching materials in the form of Independent Learning Activity Unit (UKBM) in learning to foster students' critical thinking skills. The focus of this study is to describe students' responses to the implementation of UKBM in social science programs based on discovery learning to foster students' critical thinking skills. This study used an explanatory mix method research design with a percentage technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations and interviews. Data analysis was carried out in four stages; collection, reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. This study found several things: 1) UKBM in social science programs are effectively foster critical thinking skills; 2) the most prominent assessment is the aspect of student interest in an attractive UKBM design; 3) the assessment is less prominent in the aspect of discovery learning approach in learning because it requires a long time and seriousness of teachers and students. Abstract

This article aimed to describe how important the existence of virtual libraries is as a learning resource in online social studies learning, because virtual libraries provide the widest possible access by anyone, anywhere, anytime to dig up various information that can later be used by students, educators, and even. The principal of this study utilized descriptive qualitative research methods. This research was motivated by the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak which resulted in many changes and technological developments that drove the comprehensive digitization process. The conditions during a pandemic by requiring online learning are the route chosen to keep the education system running. The role of technology is very visible and very impactful in times like this. In addition to the human resources and supporting technology that are prepared, the components in learning must also be prepared to support learning online. One of these components is a virtual library that is easy to use and useful as a learning resource and learning support. Abstract

Augmented Reality Book is the development of a book inspired by the development of Augmented Reality technology. A book that is developed combining books in the form of literacy works with the findings of archaeological relics created in 3D images to be displayed in books with the help of an android application. This research adheres to the development theory made by Plomp which consists of 1) Initial Phase, 2) Design Phase, 3) Product realization or manufacture stage, 4) Testing, assessment, and improvement phase, 5) Product testing phase. From the data on the results of filling in the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire, it was obtained that 80% of the student's response value or the percentage showed a positive value, as the assessment indicators were in good criteria, so a conclusion could be drawn that students were motivated by the use of learning resources Augmented Reality Book.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um022v6i12021p19

Abstract

Social science learning is an effort to provide student’s knowledge and comprehension about social condition in daily life. Basicly, social science is an integration of the study of social science such as, history, geography, economics, politic, sociology and other humanities science. So, the main purpose of social science learning to create the humans who are aware of their position as members of civil society. The introduction of local tradition also needs to be included in gerenal material on social science learning. Students are able to know more about existence of local tradition, one of wich is Laras Madya tradition. Laras Madya tradition is a one of the local tradition that can be inserted into the general social science learning materials. The approach to introduce this tradition is constructivism. Constructivism is an effective approach to use because can provides sufficient space for student to actively seek, collect, and process information to build their knowledge. Abstract

This study aims (1) to describe the pattern of handling victims of bullying in SMP Negeri Kediri District, West Lombok Regency (2) to identify obstacles in the handling of victims of bullying in SMP Negeri students in Kediri District, Regency. West Lombok. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The research location was carried out in SMPs throughout Kediri District, West Lombok Regency. Determination of informants using snowball sampling. Data collection methods are depth interviews), observation and documentation. The Research Result have been analyzed so that it is obtained: (1) conducting information selection (supporting network). (2) conducting the mentoring or peer monitoring stage. (3) make use of peer group or peer befriending. (4) conduct counseling and mediation. Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penjabaran terkait dengan penerapan blended learning dalam lingkungan belajar berbasis kehidupan pada masa pasca pandemi. Pembelajaran secara daring baik disadari maupun tidak, telah menjadikan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran dapat meningkat secara perlahan. Hal ini menyebabkan terdapat perubahan kultur belajar baru yang mulai memasuki pada orientasi pada kehidupan. Perubahan ini juga terkuatkan dengan adanya rencana kebijakan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran secara tatap muka. Maka dari itu, penulis tertarik untuk menelaah blended learning yang kemungkinan akan terjadi sebagai jawaban dalam mendukung kultur belajar baru pasca pandemi. Telaah ini bersifat “pengejawantahan” yang berarti penulis berusaha memberikan pendapat mengenai perwujudan proses blended learning dengan orientasi pada belajar berbasis kehidupan sebagai solusi alternatif bagi guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran nantinya.
