Abstract

Kegiatan "Sosialisasi Penggunaan Book Creator Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Interaktif di SDN 04 Kota Sorong" bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital berbasis teknologi yang inovatif serta memberikan wawasan tentang pemanfaatannya sebagai alat promosi sekolah. Book Creator, sebagai aplikasi yang memungkinkan pembuatan buku digital interaktif, menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi keterbatasan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan mendukung pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di sekolah dasar. Metode kegiatan ini melibatkan tahapan-tahapan sistematis, meliputi pengenalan konsep, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, kolaborasi kelompok, serta sesi presentasi dan refleksi. Pada tahap pengenalan, peserta mendapatkan pemahaman teoritis tentang fitur-fitur Book Creator dan manfaatnya dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru SDN 04 Kota Sorong mengalami peningkatan kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Media yang dihasilkan mampu menghadirkan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, kontekstual, dan menyenangkan, sehingga berdampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, guru menyadari bahwa Book Creator dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alat promosi sekolah melalui pembuatan buku digital yang berisi profil sekolah, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, prestasi siswa, serta inovasi pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Kegiatan ini berhasil membuka wawasan guru akan pentingnya integrasi teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan serta potensi besar media digital dalam mendukung citra positif sekolah. Dengan adanya sosialisasi ini, guru-guru di SDN 04 Kota Sorong berkomitmen untuk mengimplementasikan penggunaan Book Creator secara berkelanjutan dalam proses belajar mengajar dan pengembangan konten promosi sekolah. Keberhasilan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam mendorong transformasi pendidikan menuju era digital yang lebih kreatif, inovatif, dan berdaya saing tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to improve elementary school students' statistical literacy through Physical Education (PJOK) learning, particularly in the long jump athletic material. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test post-test control group design. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Sorong with a total sample of 56 sixth-grade students, divided into two groups: the experimental class applying PJOK learning based on long jump athletics and the control class using a conventional learning model. Data were collected through pre-test, post-test, questionnaires, and observations of student activities. The results showed a significant improvement in statistical literacy in the experimental group compared to the control group. The t-test revealed a significance value indicating a significant difference between the two groups in achieving statistical literacy. The average N-Gain increase in the experimental group categorized as high, while the control group in moderate category. Additionally, students' responses to the learning model were positive. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that PE learning based on long jump athletics is effective in improving elementary students' statistical literacy. This learning model not only enhances conceptual understanding but also develops data analysis skills in real-world contexts.

Abstract

The study seeks to assess the impact of project-based learning on the ability of Pre-Service Elementary School Teachers (PGSD) at Muhammadiyah University of Sorong to design simple learning media. A pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, and the results showed a significant improvement in students' cognitive abilities after participating in project-based learning. Additionally, psychomotor assessments demonstrated highly commendable outcomes, with average scores surpassing the good criteria. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test confirmed a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). These findings imply that project-based learning is an effective pedagogical approach for developing students' competencies in designing simple learning media, especially in regions with limited educational resources like Papua. Abstract

Improving the quality of education in Indonesia requires continuous efforts to develop teachers' competencies, especially in soft skills related to pedagogical abilities and the use of technology in learning. This community service aims to enhance the soft skills of teachers in the Majelis Dikdasmen PNF PDM of Sorong City through the application of the microteaching method with simple interactive visual media. The microteaching method provides teachers with the opportunity to practice teaching in short sessions, which are then evaluated by peers and facilitators. Additionally, simple visual media such as PowerPoint, learning videos, and infographics are used to enrich the teaching and learning experience. This community service is conducted in the form of theory and practice sessions, followed by group discussions and reflections to strengthen participants' understanding. The results of the service show an improvement in teachers' ability to effectively use visual media, as well as an enhancement in their skills in managing classrooms interactively. This service is expected to significantly contribute to the professionalism of teachers in Sorong City, particularly in improving the quality of the teaching-learning process in non-formal education levels.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and describe in depth the conceptual understanding errors in the material of stacked multiplication experienced by class 4C students of SDN 35 Sorong City. The study used a qualitative descriptive method that was carried out naturally in a natural situation without intervention. The subjects of the study were 25 class 4C students, with data collected through tests, interviews, and documentation. The test consisted of five stacked multiplication problems to identify the types of student errors, while the interviews aimed to dig deeper into students' understanding of the material being taught. The results of the study showed that student errors were divided into two types, namely conceptual errors and procedural errors. Conceptual errors mainly occur in long stacked multiplication, where students place numbers and lines incorrectly in the process of working, even though the final result is correct. Meanwhile, procedural errors arise because students do not follow the correct steps in solving long-stacked multiplication. The data analysis found that 60% of students made conceptual errors, while the other 40% made procedural errors. These findings indicate that errors in understanding compound multiplication material are caused by weak mastery of basic concepts, errors in solving steps, and ineffective teaching methods. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to strengthen basic concepts, structured exercises, and more interactive teaching approaches so that students can understand the steps for solving compound multiplication better. This study provides recommendations for teachers to develop more effective learning strategies to improve students' understanding of compound multiplication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the utilization of digital technology in the flipped learning model on improving students’ conceptual understanding. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group approach involving two classes of students: the experimental class (32 students) and the control class (33 students). The research instruments consisted of pretests and posttests and observation sheets, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, and N-Gain. The results of the study showed a significant difference in the mean between the experimental and control groups, with t = –9.206 and Sig. (2-tailed) <0.001, indicating that the implementation of digital technology in flipped learning significantly influences students’ conceptual understanding. The N-Gain value indicated that the improvement in the experimental class was in the moderate to high category, while the control class was predominantly in the low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the flipped learning model based on digital technology is more effective and positively affects students’ conceptual understanding, particularly by increasing active engagement and independence in learning, compared to the traditional learning approach
