Abstract

Perilaku konsumtif dapat diminimalisir dengan kebiasaan menabung. Menabung merupakan kegiatan menyisihkan sebagian uang yang dimiliki untuk ditabung. Menabung dapat membentuk pola pikir bijak mengenai keuangan. Bagi sebagian masyarakat, menabung masih dianggap sulit karena rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan, tidak memiliki tabungan produktif, dan tidak diajarkan untuk menabung. Hal ini sejalan dengan kondisi yang dialami mitra pengabdian yaitu siswa SDN 005 Desa Sukaraja Kecamatan Sepaku. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang menabung sejak dini. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah interaktif atau gabungan antara ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diskusi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini membuat siswa SDN 005 Desa Sukaraja Kecamatan Sepaku lebih memahami konsep menabung dan manfaat yang diperoleh dari kegiatan menabung. Selain itu, para guru dan kepala sekolah menyambut positif kegiatan ini. Rekomendasi diberikan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan serupa secara rutin setiap tahun untuk membantu meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan finansial mahasiswa di masa depan .

Abstract

Dalam era perkembangan teknologi saat ini, penerapan teknologi informasi menjadi salah satu pilar manajemen bisnis organisasi, termasuk pada institusi pendidikan. Universitas Balikpapan (Uniba) merupakan salah satu universitas yang melakukan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi berbasis website learning management system ‘E-learning Uniba’ dalam proses belajar mengajar dimulai selama masa pandemi berlangsung. Karena rentang proses pengembangan dan penerapanya cukup singkat, serta dilakukan untuk menjawab kebutuhan mendesak dimasa pandemi, maka pengukuran kinerja LMS E-learning Uniba sangat perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan skema maturity level assesment dengan kerangka kerja VAL IT 2.0 sebagai basis model untuk mengukur kinerja investasi E-learning Uniba. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan tingkat tata kelola investasi LMS e-learning Uniba masih berada pada level 3 (Penetapan) dengan rata-rata skor 3.915, atau dengan kata lain Uniba masih perlu meningkatkan tata kelola investasi LMS e-learning agar potensi sistem informasi tersebut dapat terdistribusi dengan baik ke masing-masing pemangku kepentingan.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the field of fabrication, particularly in cutting. At PT. XYZ, there is currently no specific program to reduce workplace accidents. The cutting division at PT. XYZ frequently experiences workplace accidents. Therefore, the aim of this research is to reduce the potential for workplace accidents by using Job Safety Analysis. The data collection techniques employed are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing and analysis use the principles of Job Safety Analysis and Fishbone tools. Based on the research results, it was found that there are five hazard categories: extreme, high, moderate, and low. There is one hazard at the extreme level: being struck by chips from the cutting activity. The high level consists of one hazard: being struck by cutting blade fragments. The moderate level has one hazard: material not matching capacity. The low level includes three hazards: slipping, being struck by falling material, and being hit by sparks. The proposed prevention measure is elimination, where the source of workplace hazards in the cutting process is completely removed. The second step, substitution, involves replacing tools or materials with ones that meet the standards in the cutting process. The third step, engineering controls, includes installing warning signs. The fourth step, administrative controls, involves preparing safety meetings before starting work and close supervision. The fifth step is using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Abstract

The petroleum industry in Indonesia has a high risk of work accidents, such as loading and unloading activities. PT X is a company that focuses on the oil and gas industry. This study aims to evaluate work safety in loading and unloading oil containers at PT X using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. This activity has a high risk that can result in work accidents, such as falling and being pinched. The JSA method is used to identify the hazards associated with each work step and provide a risk assessment. The results showed that five potentials hazard could be identified with categorized high risk, and one potential hazard with very high risk. Most of these risks are caused by human error. Recommended control measures include the use of complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). With the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures, it is expected that work safety can be improved, thereby reducing the likelihood of incidents that endanger workers.

Abstract

Es Teh Klasik MSMEs are often short of key raw materials, such as cups and tea, which hampers production and leads to loss of potential sales. Inventory control is done traditionally so that stock outs often occur before the next procurement. This study analyzes the raw materials that are often short and the best control method using ABC Classification as well as the EOQ and POQ methods. Category A raw materials include cups, tea, sugar, plastic bags, and straws. The analysis shows that the EOQ method is more efficient for cup and tea, with costs of Rp 571,512 and Rp 529,943. While POQ is more efficient for plastic bags. EOQ also determines the ideal ordering frequency, for example for cup cups, 10 times per month with 5 packs per order, safety stock of 2 packs, and reorder point when 3 packs remain.

Abstract

Soybeans have a major role in the Indonesian economy, as they are the main source of raw materials in various industries. The objectives of this study are to identify factors affecting the increase in soybean prices, develop a dynamic system modelling related to the increase in soybean prices, calculate the availability of soybeans against the effect of soybean prices, and develop alternative policy recommendations to meet the needs of soybeans in the productivity of tempeh and tofu in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. Applying system dynamics with Powersim uses a causal loop diagram to translate the variables that affect the availability of soybeans to meet the demand for soybeans. The results of this study show that the value of E1 for the sub-model of the rate of import activities is 1.0%, the availability of soybeans is 1.0%, and the need for soybeans is 0.99%, so E1 is declared Valid The value of E2 for the sub-model of the rate of import activities is 0%, the availability of soybeans is 0.622%, the need for soybeans is 0.325% so the value of E2 is declared valid. The forecasting variable of the rate of import activities in this study affects the availability and demand for soybeans. The availability variable influences the fulfilment of soybean demand. Balikpapan City can achieve soybean self-sufficiency for the following years if the needs have been met.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM Pipit Organik melalui perancangan ulang kemasan produk. UMKM ini memproduksi bawang goreng kemasan yang menghadapi masalah pada desain kemasan yang kurang menarik dan tidak efektif dalam menarik perhatian konsumen. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 3 Agustus 2024 di Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Balikpapan, dengan peserta terdiri dari pemilik dan staf pemasaran UMKM. Kegiatan dimulai dengan observasi dan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang dihadapi mitra, dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian materi tentang pentingnya kemasan dalam bisnis dan prinsip desain kemasan yang menarik. Sesi selanjutnya adalah praktik merancang kemasan produk menggunakan perangkat lunak Canva. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan dua pendekatan, yaitu evaluasi pemahaman melalui kuis dan evaluasi dampak dengan membandingkan minat beli konsumen terhadap kemasan lama dan baru. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mitra mengenai desain kemasan dan kemampuan mereka dalam merancang kemasan yang lebih menarik. Selain itu, perancangan ulang kemasan berhasil meningkatkan minat beli konsumen dari 23,3% dengan kemasan lama menjadi 66,7% dengan kemasan baru. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM Pipit Organik melalui desain kemasan yang lebih menarik dan profesional.

Abstract

Industri batik merupakan industri kreatif yang perkembangannya terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu daerah populer penghasil batik di Indonesia. Salah satu industri batik yang ada di daerah tersebut adalah CV Batik Akasia. Selama proses produksi, banyak permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pihak manajemen terkait keluhan yang dialami oleh pekerja, seperti nyeri pada bagian tubuh tertentu akibat posisi kerja yang kurang nyaman, serta tata letak fasilitas kerja yang kurang baik. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan ergonomi makro, penelitian ini menghasilkan perbaikan sistem kerja di CV Batik Akasia, antara lain: (1) desain kursi membatik yang disesuaikan dengan antropometri pekerja dan keinginan semua pihak yang terkait; (2) perbaikan sistem kerja, seperti tungku pembakaran menghadap ke tembok untuk mengurangi panas yang dirasakan pekerja, penambahan alat pemadam kebakaran, dan pembuatan SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) di setiap stasiun kerja.

Abstract

The readiness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to achieve competitive advantage greatly depends on the maturity level of their business processes, which ultimately affects business performance. Therefore, this study aims to assess the level of business process maturity in MSMEs. The studied MSMEs are Salakilo and Bontings, both engaged in the culinary industry. These two MSMEs are classified as superior MSMEs according to the Borneo MSME Gate and Bank Indonesia in 2021. The assessment of business process maturity is conducted using the Business Process Orientation Maturity Model (BPOMM) with four levels and nine assessment aspects. Data collection is done through the distribution of validated questionnaires by experts and MSME practitioners. The questionnaire items are tailored to the specific conditions of the studied MSMEs, making it easier for the MSME practitioners to understand each assessment indicator. The results show that there is a difference in the level of business process maturity between Salakilo and Bontings MSMEs. Salakilo MSMEs have achieved the Integrated level with a score of 6.6, while Bontings MSMEs are at the Linked level with a score of 5.8. Keywords: Maturity Model, Business Process, MSME

Abstract

The rapidly growing manufacturing and service industries require various companies to improve operational efficiency, including in maintaining occupational safety and health (K3). CV. XYZ is a company that produces liquid organic fertilizer, granule biofertilizer, and vegetable pesticides. This research aims to identify potential hazards, analyze the level of risk of work accidents, and provide risk control recommendations using the HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) method. The results show that the potential risks vary from low to high levels. The two highest risks are electrical accidents during machine maintenance and injuries from falls during waste transfer. Control recommendations include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), strict implementation of safety procedures, improvement of work facilities, and provision of assistive devices. This research provides important guidance for companies in effectively managing occupational accident risks and creating a safer work environment.
