Abstract

This study uses an evaluation analysis model with qualitative and quantitative method approaches. Evaluation research is not intended to test hypotheses but is intended to improve the program or policy undertaken. This research was conducted at SDN Jurumudi 5 Kota Tangerang. The time of the study is odd semester 2018/2019 by evaluating the personality of the teacher at SDN Jurumudi 5 Kota Tangerang. The most important finding of this study is that the positive attitude of the teacher has positively influenced the personality of students and also the reputation of the teacher's performance. More than that, a teacher who has a good personality will create a good school atmosphere too. From the results of the research carried out, work ethic is an important concern.

Abstract

Penilaian sejatinya tidak hanya berbicara pada hasil akhir melainkan juga mengenai proses. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Cahaya Madani Banten, terhadap pengembangan kompetensi dalam pembelajaran Fisika melalui self assessment. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 66 orang siswa sebagai sampel penelitian, pada kelas XI Jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Responden dipilih melalui teknik culster random sampling. Keseluruhan data penelitian diperoleh melalui penggunaan instrumen baku Students Aktivitas dalam kelas sekaligus sebagai instrumen self assessment yang meliputi dimensi: (1) pikiran, (2) hubungan sosial, (3) penggunaan bahasa, simbol, dan kalimat, (4) manajemen diri, serta (5) partisipasi dan kontribusi. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis kuadran Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 30 butir pernyataan, sebanyak 14 butir dalam kategori prestasi, 1 butir dalam kategori berlebihan, 14 butir dalam kategori prioritas rendah, dan 1 butir dalam kategori prioritas utama sebagai rekomendasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran Fisika, siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Cahaya Madani Banten belum memahami apa yang mereka pelajari dan mengapa mereka mempelajari materi tersebut.

Abstract

The ability to think at a high level is not only memorizing facts or concepts but also requires making something about these facts or concepts. Various studies reveal that the higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) of students in Indonesia are still low, coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic, which requires students to study online. For this reason, researchers develop learning models that invite students to learn, analyze, create, share and apply learning outcomes in life. The model developed is called LACSA, namely, Learn it, Analyze it, Create it, Share it, and Apply it. Lacsa learning model then saw its effect on students' high-level thinking skills. This quasi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted on two classes at SMPN 30 Tangerang City. One class is designated as a taught control class with K13 and one experimental class with LACSA learning. Data on students' high-level thinking skills and observation tests were then analyzed using descriptive statistics one-way ANOVA. The results showed that classes taught with a blended learning-based LACSA learning model received higher HOTS scores and differed significantly from K13 classes. In addition, lacsa's blended learning-based learning model has the potential to improve students' HOTS in both upper and lower academics. Therefore, the LACSA learning model based on blended learning during the Covid-19 pandemic is recommended for learning.

Abstract

This present study is set out to examine and investigate the effect of using Strategy-Based Instruction as a new approach to teaching reading comprehension, students' motivation, and self-regulatory of students at SMK Lab Business School Tangerang. 30 students were used as a sample. To complete the aim of this study, a quasi-experimental approach is used as a one-group pretest-posttest and regression analysis. Students' motivation, self-regulated learning, and reading comprehension were assessed for all students in the treatment. Analyses examined treatment effects on reading comprehension, motivation, and self-regulated learning. Results from this strategy-based instruction treatment did not reveal statistically significant results for the effect of reading comprehension ability. There was no significant difference between observed and expected motivation and self-regulated learning frequencies on reading comprehension ability. However, there was a different value between the pretest and post-test of reading comprehension ability.

Abstract

This text discusses in-depth study and tests the assessment of the adaptive portfolio. Assessments will consistently diagnose problems and how educators perform solutions from less than optimal learning. The matching method is done by matching and comparing the characteristics of several similar studies with criteria so that one particular conclusion is obtained. Furthermore, a systematic review is used, a Narrative systematic review, to review relevant studies. This text is about anticipating a new version of the assessment program into the current learning reform efforts. Portfolio development is more challenging than they expected. Portfolios can gather the information that can be used to evaluate student achievement in the classroom

Abstract

This study aims to analyse various models of curriculum evaluation and their implications for enhancing the quality of education, employing a comprehensive literature review approach. The curriculum is understood as an essential, planned framework in the educational process, influenced by diverse paradigms, including behavioristic, cognitive, constructivist, and humanistic, as well as the contributions of prominent educational thinkers such as Ralph W. Tyler, Benjamin Bloom, Jerome S. Bruner, and John Dewey. The results of the analysis show that curriculum evaluation models, including the Stufflebeam Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) Model, the Stake Responsive Model, and the Formative and Summative Evaluation classifications, offer a unique perspective in assessing the effectiveness of education. The CIPP model offers a comprehensive framework, spanning from planning to outcomes. The Responsive Stake Model highlights the importance of stakeholder perspectives and dynamic contexts, while Formative and Summative Evaluation function to facilitate continuous improvement and strategic decision-making. On the other hand, Tyler's Goal-Oriented Model emphasises accountability through the achievement of measurable targets. It is concluded that there is no single model that is superior for all situations; The selection of the model must be adaptive to the objective, context, and philosophy of the evaluation. This study recommends a multiparadigm approach and blended methods in curriculum evaluation to achieve a more comprehensive understanding, as well as encourage active stakeholder engagement and the utilisation of formative evaluations for continuous improvement. An in-depth understanding of these various models is crucial for educators and policymakers in designing relevant and high-quality education systems.
