Abstract

Water tanks are widely used to store water in the community. However, the filling process still uses a manual method so it cannot monitor/monitor the water level in the tank, so when the water is full in the tank until it overflows it is then turned off. Water tanks are often placed at a height to take advantage of gravity so that water can flow optimally. The high position of the water tank is difficult for users to reach to determine the quality and volume of water. The performance of this tool has 2 conditions. The first condition will discuss the water level monitoring tool in the tank. Using the tool developed, the water pump can be turned on and off automatically which is controlled using a monitoring tool using a smartphone and the Blynk application with a water level indicator. , water flow, and watervolume and Notification of water conditions via Telegram. Technology for distributing and monitoring water in tanks is still limited to conventional means by turning on and opening the water tap. For this reason, a control system is needed that can monitor and control the water volume in several tanks through one application display on a smartphone such as Telegram. By using the NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller base, an ultrasonic sensor as a water volume measuring sensor, and a Mini Water Pump, the condition of the water volume and all changes can always be monitored via notifications on Telegram. Apart from that, the tool can also be controlled automatically or manually through the commands provided on Telegram. In this way, the concept of using Telegram as a water tank volume control and monitoring system can be the right alternative choice in designing a water tank control system. The research method used is a prototyping system. The expected result is the realization of automatic floodgates to make it easier for humans to carry out their tasks and make the system run more efficiently. Apart from being automatic, this tool has the advantage that it can be controlled remotely using the internet of things. The design of this automatic sluice gate uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller as a processing tool, and is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, water level float switch sensor, servo motor.

Abstract

Spinach plants are a rich source of nutrients, containing various vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, and folate. Spinach also contains iron, calcium and dietary fiber which are important for maintaining a healthy body. Spinach plants grow well in cool to warm climates and require sufficient sunlight for growth. Biochar has a wide pore structure, which allows it to absorb and store water and nutrients, helping to improve soil quality and fertility. The use of biochar from rice husks has a positive impact on agriculture and the environment. When mixed with soil, biochar can improve soil structure, reduce erosion, and increase water storage capacity. This can support better plant growth and increase agricultural land productivity. The use of compost made from cow dung also has a positive impact on the environment. By converting livestock waste into valuable compost, it reduces the potential for environmental pollution that can arise from this waste. By stimulating healthy plant growth, improving soil quality, and reducing negative impacts on the environment, the use of compost from cow manure is an important step in realizing more sustainable and productive agriculture. This research aims to investigate the effect of a combination of biochar and compost on improving Ultisol soil fertility and spinach plant growth. Providing Biochar and Compost has an effect on the growth and production of Spinach Plants (Amaranthus sp.) in this case Plant Height, Number of Leaves and Gross Plant Weight in Polybag planting media mixed with Biochar and Compost. The higher the dose of compost given, the higher the results obtained for plant height, number of leaves and gross plant weight.

Abstract

Gardening and planting flowers is a fun and relaxing hobby for some people. The obstacle that arises is the availability of maintenance time, especially for watering plants. However, maintaining flower plants for those of us who are busy workers often experience maintenance time constraints. Busy owners cannot pay adequate attention and this results in delays in watering which result in plants not being able to grow and develop properly or dying. On the other hand, excessive watering will cause plants to become susceptible to illness due to excessive/high water levels. This research is aimed at producing a solution in the form of a system that can keep the water content in plant pots balanced using an automatic watering mechanism or based on remote control. Apart from that, it also uses the Blynk application installed on the smartphone to monitor soil moisture values, temperature values and watering notifications. The watering results show the watering categories including a lot, moderate, little and no watering. This research produces a tool that can water rose plants automatically according to temperature and humidity sensors with notifications on smartphones. The result is a prototype automatic plant watering IoT system with Arduino and smartphone control. Based on testing using the black box method, this system is operational and solves research problems. Keywords: plant, IoT, watering, floricuture

Abstract

Generally, classification algorithms in the field of data science assume that the classes of training data are equally distributed. However, datasets on real problems often have an unbalanced class distribution. Unbalanced dataset classes make up the majority class and the minority class. In general, minority classes are more attractive and more important to identify. In this case, the correct classification for the minority class sample is more valuable than the majority class. The unbalanced class distribution causes the classification algorithm to have difficulty in classifying minority class samples correctly. If the performance of the algorithm model is good for the majority class sample but bad for the minority class then this imbalance problem is a crucial thing to be addressed. Many solutions are offered for this problem, namely by oversampling techniques in the minority class and/or undersampling techniques in the majority class. In this study, the authors tried various sampling techniques and tested them on various machine learning classification algorithms to find out the combination of resampling techniques and algorithms that have high recall in classifying minority class samples and still considering the majority class classification.

Abstract

Home security is an essential factor and must be maintained; currently, the development of technology or security systems continues to be improved, one of which is Eye Retina and Artificial Intelligence. in this research, the use of Motion Sensors in Home Security, performance evaluation, and future development. In this time, more crimes occur in our environment, one of which is theft or breaking into people's homes in various areas; this problem is disturbing to residents in areas where these crimes often occur, even though so far, residents have used many methods to prevent crime, one of which is installing CCTV. However, thieves still have managed to escape the CCTV surveillance. But suppose we use a security system that can make a sound. In that case, the sound can make criminals cancel their intention to steal because the sound disturbs their concentration and can also wake the house owner or tell residents about a crime in the house. And in this article, I will describe a home security system. This system requires several supporting equipment, such as PIR, Arduino, Buzzer, and other tools.
