Abstract

Abstract

Kasiwa Fish Landing Base (PPI) in Mamuju, West Sulawesi, is a center of fisheries activity that plays an important role in supporting the capture fisheries sector. This research aims to analyze the efficiency of unloading fish catches and the factors that influence it. The method used in this research was purposive sampling, with respondents consisting of active fishermen and port management staff. The aim of this research is to evaluate the duration of the catch unloading process at the Kasiwa Fish Landing Base (PPI) located in Mamuju, West Sulawesi. As the fishing industry advances, the importance of efficiency in unloading procedures becomes increasingly significant to boost productivity and reduce losses. This research uses an observational method with measurements of demolition time carried out over a certain period of time, as well as quantitative data analysis to identify factors that influence the duration of demolition. This includes the type of fish, volume of catch, and weather conditions at the time of unloading. The results show that the time required for disassembly ranges from 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the variables involved. It is hoped that these findings can provide suggestions for fisheries industry players to improve operational efficiency at PPI Kasiwa and become a reference for further research in the field of fisheries and marine product processing.

Abstract

The invasion of alien plants such as Bellucia pentamera can reduce biodiversity in the conservation forest area. Analysis of undergrowth vegetation in the area invaded by invasive alien plants Bellucia pentamera Naudin in the Conservation Area of PT. TKA Solok Selatan in MarchAugust 2020. This study aims to determine the composition and structure of undersgrowth vegetation in areas invaded by invasive alien plants Bellucia pentamera and to see the effect of distance from the road on the distribution of Bellucia pentamera tillers. The method used in this research is the quadratic method with belt transects of 2 x100 meters from the edge of the forest to the forest. The composition of understorey in the Conservation Area of PT. TKA were found as many as 48 species from 32 families. The distance from the highway affects the light intensity and also affects the distribution of the number of B. pentamera seedling individuals. The highest important value index of undergrowth was Shorea leprosula, Bellucia pentamera, and Clidemia hirta with a value of 40.51%; 29.20%; 19.43% while the diversity index (H ') of undergrowth with a value of 3.0 means that the diversity index is classified as medium.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to construct a model for the Grade Point Average (GPA) of the 2021 cohort of students enrolled in the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK) IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, and analyze the factors that influence it. GPA modeling uses the binary logistic regression method. Binary logistic regression is a data analysis technique used to test whether or not there is a correlation between the response variable (y) which has two categories or is binary and the predictor variable (x) which has several categories or is polychotomous. This study uses primary data obtained through a questionnaire with a sample size of 190 students from six majors. The response variable in this study is student GPA and there are 8 independent variables studied. Based on the data obtained, the average GPA of 2021 students is 3.13. The results of data processing show that the variables of region of origin (x1), the number of organizations joined (x3), the average length of study per day (x4), and the average length of internet usage per day (x5) significantly affect the GPA of FITK students. The logit model obtained is . The probability function for obtaining a GPA ≥ 3.13 is .

Abstract

Academic stress has become a common problem among university students due to various challenges in adapting to new roles and academic environments. This study aimed to examine the effect of emotional writing on reducing academic stress among students. The research employed a pretest–posttest control group design involving 20 students from Universitas Malikussaleh. Participants in the experimental group engaged in emotional writing activities, while the control group did not receive any treatment. Data were analyzed using a paired samples t-test to determine the effectiveness of the intervention. The analysis showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value was greater than 0.05 (p = 0.181), indicating no significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group. These findings suggest that emotional writing, in this study’s context, did not significantly reduce academic stress. However, this research contributes to understanding the complexity of stress-reduction interventions and highlights the need for further exploration of individual differences and contextual factors influencing emotional writing outcomes.
