Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize the importance of family mealtime customs as a predictor of early childhood social-emotional wellbeing. Eating well-being include social and psychological aspects of shared experiences in addition to nutritional intake. In order to comprehend how regular family dinners promote communication, emotional stability, and a sense of belonging, this study examines a variety of scholarly sources using a qualitative literature review method. According to the findings, children can learn social cues, emotional control, and family values in a regulated setting through ritualized family meals. Additionally, these rituals improve the child's general subjective well-being and act as a buffer against behavioral issues. To sum up, family mealtimes are an essential socio-emotional intervention that promotes children's overall development

Abstract

This study aims to describe the importance of "Child's Voice" in the context of early childhood well-being, specifically focusing on how child participation in decision-making processes contributes to their social-emotional welfare. While adult perspectives often dominate child-rearing, this research emphasizes that listening to children is a fundamental human right and a core component of subjective well-being. The research method used is a qualitative literature review, analyzing various academic journals and theoretical frameworks related to child agency and participation rights. Implementation results from various literature sources indicate that providing children with opportunities to voice their opinions ranging from daily routines to classroom rules enhances their self-esteem, autonomy, and sense of belonging. The evaluation of this concept shows that active participation acts as a buffer against social exclusion and psychological distress. The results then serve as the basis for formulating follow-up for educators and parents to create a more inclusive and democratic environment. Overall, integrating the child's voice into family and educational settings is a crucial strategy for achieving holistic children's well-being. This is a guideline for writing the Early Childhood Education journal.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between self-regulation and children’s well-being in early childhood through a literature review. Self-regulation is defined as the ability to manage emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to achieve goals, while children’s well-being refers to happiness, emotional stability, and life satisfaction. The findings indicate that strong self-regulation is associated with better emotional control, positive social interactions, and higher learning readiness. In contrast, low self-regulation is linked to behavioral problems and reduced well-being. Therefore, developing self-regulation from an early age is essential for supporting children’s overall development. The findings imply that early childhood educators and parents should integrate self-regulation training into daily learning activities, while policymakers may consider strengthening socio-emotional learning curricula in early childhood education settings

Abstract

Language development is a crucial aspect of early childhood growth, particularly at the age of 4–5 years, which represents a critical period for communication skills development. This study aims to analyze the role of parents in supporting early childhood language development. The method used is a literature review by examining relevant journals and books related to children's language development and parental involvement. The findings indicate that active parental involvement through intensive interaction, two-way communication, play activities, and shared reading habits has a positive impact on children's vocabulary acquisition and speaking abilities. In contrast, a lack of stimulation and parental involvement may lead to delays in language development. Therefore, parents need to have adequate awareness and understanding in providing appropriate language stimulation according to the child’s developmental stage. This study recommends the importance of active parental involvement in creating a supportive environment to optimize children's language development

Abstract

This research evaluates the significance of artistic autonomy in promoting the holistic well-being of young learners during early childhood. By granting children the liberty to manifest their ideas, emotions, and imaginative faculties through diverse creative mediums, artistic freedom serves as a fundamental catalyst for their emotional, social, and psychological maturation within educational frameworks. Adopting a qualitative methodology centered on library research, this study synthesizes data from peer-reviewed journals and scholarly texts published over the past five years. The data acquisition process involved systematic literature retrieval utilizing specific descriptors such as "artistic freedom" and "children's well-being," followed by a rigorous content analysis. The results demonstrate that unrestricted artistic expression substantially improves emotional regulation, self-efficacy, and interpersonal competencies. Furthermore, the study highlights the teacher’s function as a facilitator who must cultivate an environment conducive to exploration without imposing creative constraints. Consequently, integrating artistic freedom into pedagogical strategies is recommended as a highly effective approach to enhancing well-being in early childhood education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of family economic status on child welfare and to identify the factors that mediate this relationship. The method employed is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach, analyzing 10 relevant scientific articles published between 2020 and 2024. The results indicate that family economic status has a significant impact on child welfare across various dimensions, including education, health, nutrition, as well as social and cognitive development. However, child welfare is also moderated by non-economic factors such as parental knowledge, parenting styles, family structure, and social capital support. In conclusion, efforts to enhance child welfare require an integrated approach that combines financial intervention with parenting education and the strengthening of social support systems

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the family environment, specifically through parenting styles, in enhancing children’s well-being during early childhood. Children’s well-being refers to a state of well-being that encompasses physical, psychological, and social aspects, which is significantly influenced by the child’s immediate environment, particularly the family. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, drawing from various scientific journals, books, and previous research findings. The findings indicate that the family, as the first and primary environment, plays a dominant role in shaping children’s well-being. Parental parenting styles are a key factor, with the authoritative (democratic) style proven to be the most effective in supporting children’s emotional, social, and psychological development. Conversely, authoritarian and permissive parenting styles tend to have negative impacts on children’s development. A warm, loving family environment, coupled with good communication, can enhance children’s sense of security, self-confidence, and emotional regulation skills. Thus, the application of appropriate parenting styles within the family environment is crucial for supporting the optimal achievement of children’s well-being in early childhood
