Abstract

PT INTI (Persero) Bandung is a company engaged in telecommunications as the leading supplier for the construction of the national telephone network. Based on the research conducted, the problem is that monitoring project implementation is still done manually. The reports produced are still in the form of hard files, which are not presented quickly and accurately. This study aims to analyze and design a project monitoring information system at PT (Persero) according to the company’s needs so that the company’s operational activities are more effective and efficient. With the project monitoring system, its hoped that it will make it easier to monitor the progress of project implementation and help make decisions for the company. The research method used is qualitative, while the software development method uses a waterfall system. The design is done using UML. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, interviews and literature study. In making this software using the PHP programming language and XAMPP as localhost. Database storage using MySQL.

Abstract

The main objective of the research is to explain about the role of students’ locus of control toward reading skill in general english course. The descriptive quantitative method was employed in this research. The population of the research was the students of first semester secretary of Polytechnic Pajajaran ICB Bandung. To collect the data, the writer used questionnaire to find out the students’ locus of control and reading test to know whether the final test score of the students have a significant progress or not. The students with high locus of control will be encouraged if the teacher gives a chance to them to involve actively in teaching learning process. Their control, of course, influences their achievement, especially in achieving reading skill. On the other hand, students who have low locus of control believe that they have little control or power to affect personal outcomes. They usually do not have any interest in joining the learning process. It can be seen that students who have high locus of control were encouraged to be actively and motivately in learning process. Based on the reserach finding, it can be conclude that students’ locus of control have role in teaching learning process. Therefore, it is suggested that: (1) it is better to know students’ locus of control to improve student’s reading skill; (2) this result of the study can be used as a beginning step to conduct a further research.

Abstract

Vocabulary is one of the supporting factors in the success of language learning. Developing the ability to communicate in English either in spoken or written form includes listening, speaking, reading, and writing. One of the most important aspects of language learning is vocabulary. Understanding vocabulary is considered important in the process of language learning or the development of a person's ability in a controlled language. Not all vocabularies have the same meaning. All understanding will depend on the context.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the process of word formation from uncommon words of online shopping in the markets place used by Gen Z. Specifically, the purpose of this research is to identify how the process of forming the uncommon terms often used in live online shopping, identify the kind of word formation in those terms, and explain the meaning of the terms. Researchers used two theories to conduct this research; namely the theory by Yule and Petada. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. The data was collected from a live online shopping in market place in January 2023. The writer used document and observation method to collect the data. The writer analysed the words based on the elements of words. The results of this study indicated that only three word formation processes made up the eleven data found in the data source: compounding, affixation, and acronyms; acronym was the process that forms the most terms in the report as many as six terms, the second was compounding with three terms, third was affixation with two terms. Those terms had complexity in the process of its formation and had specific meaning. Therefore, it is necessary to be explained more detailed to avoid misunderstanding in communication.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effect of price, location, and service quality on the decision of use services of PT. Pos Indonesia, Soreang. The population in this study was consumers who had used the services of PT Pos Indonesia, Soreang. The sampling collection technique used accident sampling with a total of 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression. The result of multiple linear regression analysis shows that the variables of price, location and service quality simultaneously have a positive relation to consumer decision. Based on the results of the f test, it shows that the variables of price, location, and service quality simultaneously have a positive and significant impact on consumers decisions. The result of the coefficient of determination is 0.55 or 55%, meaning that independent variables such as price, location, and service quality can explain variations in consumer decisions to choose the delivery service of PT Pos Indonesia (Soreang). While the remaining 45% of other variables not examined in this study. Company management should pay attention to parking spaces and price competitiveness to increase consumer interest in using the delivery service of PT Pos Indonesia, Soreang.

Abstract

This research is about the use of persuasive sentences in copywriting. The purpose of this research is to identify the use of persuasive sentences in copywriting. The data used in this study were obtained by taking several examples of marketing posters for a product from several sales sources. The results show that persuasive sentences are widely used as a copywriting technique. Keywords: persuasive sentences, copywriting, market poster.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) di era digital bagi usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) yang berada di wilayah Maleer, Kecamatan Batununggal, Kota Bandung. Dalam era digital yang berkembang pesat, UMKM menghadapi tantangan baru dalam mengelola SDM secara efektif dan efisien. Untuk itu, pelatihan ini dirancang untuk membekali para pelaku UMKM dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan dalam pengelolaan SDM, termasuk penggunaan teknologi digital, pemanfaatan alat manajemen SDM, dan strategi pengembangan karyawan. Metode pelatihan meliputi sesi teori, praktik langsung, dan diskusi kasus yang relevan dengan konteks UMKM. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi dasar-dasar pengelolaan SDM, penerapan teknologi digital dalam manajemen SDM, penggunaan perangkat lunak HRIS (Human Resource Information System), dan strategi pengembangan SDM yang efektif. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta setelah pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta dalam menggunakan teknologi digital untuk manajemen SDM. Sebagian besar peserta merasa lebih siap untuk mengimplementasikan alat manajemen digital dan strategi pengembangan SDM dalam usaha mereka. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan SDM di UMKM, mendukung pertumbuhan usaha, dan mendorong adaptasi yang lebih baik terhadap tuntutan era digital. Dengan keberhasilan pelatihan ini, diharapkan UMKM di wilayah Maleer dapat memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan daya saing mereka, serta menjadi contoh bagi UMKM lainnya dalam penerapan manajemen SDM yang modern dan efektif.

Abstract

The counseling on the development of creative products to support MSMEs in Maleer Village, Bandung City, aims to enhance the capacity of MSME actors in creating innovative products with high competitiveness. This activity focuses on understanding the importance of creativity in product development as well as the implementation of effective marketing strategies, utilizing technology and digital platforms. Through this counseling, MSME actors are provided with knowledge and skills in product design, efficient use of raw materials, and how to utilize social media and e-commerce to expand their market reach. Additionally, the training emphasizes the importance of good business management, including financial management and branding, so that the products produced can compete in both local and global markets. With this counseling, it is expected that MSMEs in Maleer Village can develop better, strengthen local economic competitiveness, and contribute positively to the economy of Bandung City. Of the 50 participants, 15 (30%) fully understood, 10 (20%) had a moderate understanding, and 25 (50%) understood the material.

Abstract

The development of technology in education has had a significant impact on English Language Teaching (ELT), including General English learning model. In General English learning, teachers are required to use learning models that improve student's interest in learning process. One of learning model to teach General English for students is applying technology media based-Canva. This learning media created by taking the needs which coverage of General English learning material. The aim of this research is to determine the development of learning media and to know students’ responses to the interactive learning media based-Canva in General English. This research applies Research and Development (R & D). The development model in this study uses the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The subjects in this research are 16 undergraduate students of Hospital Administration/23 at Al-Islam Polytechnic. The instruments used in this study were an open questionnaire sheet, material aspect validation sheet, and media aspect validation sheet. The analytical technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis technique and quantitative analysis by finding the average score obtained from the validator’s assessment and looking at the criteria. Validation results from experts of media tell a percentage of 96%, which is included in the very valid category. Meanwhile, validation results from experts of material obtained a percentage of 95%, that is very valid category. Meanwhile, the feasibility of interactive media learning based-Canva, obtained a percentage of 94% with the criteria "Very Good". It can be concluded that interactive learning media is "Appropriate" criteria for use as learning media. In addition, this result of the study can be used as a beginning step to conduct further research to investigate the long-term impact of Canva-based interactive learning media on student engagement and learning outcomes.
