<![CDATA[This study aims is to investigate the lifestyle of teenagers, the use of ginger cosmetics, and the effect of teenage lifestyle using ginger cosmetics cream in Nagari Pitalah, Batipuh. The population of this study are 50 girls in Nagari Pitalah. The sample in this study 30 people using random sampling technique. The research instrument used a Likert scale questionnaire with 52 items of statements. Data analysis used SPSS version 20.00 program. The study of the resu1ts can be conc1uded that 1) the youth lifestyle in Nagari Pitalah, Batipuh District with a respondent's achievement level of 67.9% is in the sufficient category, 2) the use of whitening cream for ginger in Nagari Pitalah, Batipuh District with a respondent's achievement level of 67.8% is in the sufficient category 3) there is a lifestyle influence on the use of ginger whitening cream because tcount> t table (9.272> 2.042) with a contribution of 75.4%. Suggestions in this study are 1) For researchers, to research more deeply about the lifestyle that can affect the use of ginger whitening cream, 2) For adolescents, this research is in order to increase adolescent knowledge about the use of ginger whitening cream, 3) For majors, research This is so that it can be used as an additional reference for the Libraries in the Makeup Study Program and the Faculty of Tourism, Padang State University which researches the lifestyle and use of whitening creams.]]>

<![CDATA[Utilization of natural dyes for cosmetics becomes one of the alternatives to chemical dyes. Because these chemical dyes can cause irritation to the skin even the color owned by chemical dyes can not stand stored for a relatively long time. This study aims to a) analyze the color name (Hue) and color brightness (Value) of the use of henna leaves (Lawsonia inermis) and turmeric as a color light produced in the use of time 3 hours, 5 hours, 7 hours on the palm and fingertips, b) analyze the color name (Hue) and color brightness (Value) of the use of henna leaves (Lawsonia Inermis), turmeric and coconut pistils produced in the use of 3 hours , 5 hours, 7 hours on the palm and fingertips and c) analyze the color comparison (Hue) and color brightness (Value) resulting from henna and turmeric leaves with henna leaves, turmeric and coconut pistils on the palms and fingertips. This type of research is quasy experiment. The population of this study was a student of Padang State University class of 2016 aged 20-25 years with 3 samples and 7 panelists. Data retrieval technique is purposive sampling method. Descriptive data analysis techniques by displaying statistics and frequency. with independent sample- t-test confidence. Based on the results of the study on the addition of turmeric from the average color aspect of 2.71 good categories and aspects of color brightness (value) an average of 3.14 good categories. In the use of the addition of coconut pistil henna from the average color aspect of 2.80 good categories and aspects of color brightness (value) on average 2.9 good categories and in the color indicator (hue) there is no difference in the influence of the finished result of henna making henna leaves with the addition of turmeric and the addition of coconut pistils. Value p = 0.812 (p>0.05) and in the color brightness indicator (value) there is no difference in the influence of henna making henna leaves with the addition of turmeric and the addition of coconut pistil henna. Value p= 0.531 (p>0.05). Conclusion on the color indicator (hue) there is no difference in the influence of the finished result of henna making henna leaves with the addition of turmeric and the addition of coconut pistils and in the indicator of color brightness (value) there is no difference in the influence of the result of making henna henna henna leaves with the addition of turmeric and the addition of coconut pistil henna and recommended for further research on the manufacture of henna henna leaves with the addition of turmeric and the addition of coconut pistils more , so it is expected that the color acquisition is better than before.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to a) Knowing the different results of applying eyebrow compact powder to western bridal makeup b) Knowing the different results of applying eyebrow gel to western bridal makeup c) Knowing the differences in the results of applying eyebrow compact powder to eyebrow gel to western bridal makeup. The type of this research is pre-experimental. the sample in this study amounted to 6 people. The data collection technique is purposive sampling. Descriptive data analysis technique by displaying the mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values. Analysis of the data used is the independent-sample t-test. The results of the application of cosmetic eyebrow compact powder on western bridal makeup, it was found that the highest value was obtained in the smoothness and preference section, namely 3.57 having very fine criteria and very liking. In the results of the application of eyebrow gel cosmetics on western bridal makeup, it was found that the greatest value was obtained in the accuracy aspect, namely 3.04 having the right criteria. There are differences in the results of the application of eyebrow compact powder and eyebrow gel cosmetics on western bridal makeup on the aspect of accuracy (p=0,377), on the aspect of smoothness (p=0,013), on the aspect of neatness (p=0,015) and the aspect of liking (p=0,002). Based on the results of the research analysis, it was found that there were differences in the analysis of the results of the application of eyebrow compact powder with eyebrow gel in western bridal makeup.]]>

<![CDATA[The results of the practice of dyeing hair using natural ingredients make hair not fall out easily, reducing hair damage due to the use of chemical hair dyes. This study aims to a) analyze the results of hair coloring using turmeric natural dyes, b) to analyze the effect of the results of hair coloring using artificial henna dyes and c) to analyze the comparison of the results of hair coloring using turmeric natural dyes and artificial henna dyes.This type of research is experiment. The population of this study was the 2016 Padang State University student with 2 samples and 7 panelists. The data collection technique was purposive sampling method. Descriptive data analysis techniques by displaying statistics and frequency. Bivariate analysis using independent sample-t-test with 95% confidence. Based on the results of the study, the use of natural turmeric dyes from the color aspect an average of 3.42 categories is very clear and the color absorption time aspect is an average of 4 categories 30 minutes In the use of artificial henna dyes, from the color aspect an average of 2.85 clear categories and an average color absorption time aspect of 2.57 categories 50 minutes and there was no difference in the effect of the results of hair coloring using turmeric natural dyes and artificial henna dyes. P value = 0.091 (p> 0.05). There are differences in the effect of the results of hair coloring using turmeric and artificial henna dyes. P value = 0.026 (p <0.05).The conclusion is that there is no difference in the effect of the results of hair coloring using natural turmeric dyes and artificial henna dyes and there are differences in the effects of hair coloring using turmeric natural dyes and artificial henna dyes and it is recommended for all makeup and beauty students who are undergoing lectures in order to produce results. This study is one of the references in using the natural color of turmeric in hair coloring practices.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the opinions of students majoring in make-up and beauty regarding practical lectures that are carried out boldly in terms of the teaching and learning process, the capabilities of the lecturers, and practical facilities and infrastructure. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The research sample was 46 students majoring in make-up and beauty, of whom 21 students from class 2018 and 25 students from class 2019. The research variable is a single variable. The research instrument used a questionnaire with a Likert scale which stated as many as 60 items. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis of proportions using SPSS 20. The results showed that student learning was as big as make-up and beauty towards practical subjects 77.95% boldly with moderate criteria. Student learning review includes 3 indicators in the form of practical learning and teaching processes, lecturer capabilities, practical facilities and infrastructure. Student learning of practical subjects as seen from the indicators of the teaching and learning process with a result of 80.40% with good criteria. Student learning towards practical subjects is boldly seen in terms of lecturer capability (lecturer competence) with a result of 82.13% with a good category. And student learning towards practical subjects was boldly seen in terms of practical facilities and infrastructure with a result of 71.32% in the moderate category. Based on the results of research for research for students to carry out practical lectures in a bold and serious manner by providing practical facilities and infrastructure so that the practices we carry out boldly can be carried out in accordance with the objectives of the lecture.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is backgrounded because students are not taught about the makeup of three-dimensional old characters, where the result of wrinkles from the makeup of threedimensional old characters is more visible and natural. The study aims to analyze 1) how the effect of three-dimensional wrinkles on the facial makeup of old characters using facial and latex wipes, 2) how the three-dimensional wrinkle effect results on the makeup of the old character using facial wipes and eyelash glue, 3) how the three-dimensional wrinkle effect compares to the facial makeup of the old character using facial and latex wipes using facial wipes and eyelash glue. This research uses pseudo-experimental research methods (quasi experiments). This research variable is a free variable (X), a bound variable (Y). The data type uses primary data. The data collection techniques in this study are observations, documentation, instruments. The steps to analyze the data are test analysis requirements, hypothetical tests. Based on the results of study 1) the effect of three-dimensional wrinkles on the makeup of old characters using facial and latex wipes from the neat aspect shows an average of 1.90 untidy categories, resilience showed an average of 2.19 categories were less precise and from the resilience aspect showed an average of 2.62 categories less resistant, 2) the result of three-dimensional wrinkle effects on the makeup of old characters using facial wipes and eyelash glue from the neat aspect showed an average of 3.29 neat categories , resilience shows an average of 3.19 categories of resistance and from the durability aspect shows an average of 3.10 resistant categories, 3) there is a comparison of neatness, accuracy and durability of the threedimensional wrinkle effect on the makeup of older characters using facial and latex wipes with facial wipes and eyelash glue. It is then recommended for students to add knowledge in doing three-dimensional old character makeup by using facial and latex wipes with facial wipes and eyelash glue]]>

<![CDATA[The research was motivated byithe effects of the covid-19 virus felt by Titia Gallery Bukittinggi with many clients delaying receptions until the cancellation of service use. The better the quality of service, the greater the customer satisfaction. The research aims to a) describe the business management strategy at Titia Gallery on service quality during the Covid- 19 period. b) describe customer loyalty to the quality of service at Titia Gallery during the Covid-19 period. c) describe the business management strategy and customer loyalty at Titia Gallery on service quality during the Covid-19 period. The type of research study is descriptive- quantitative. A total of 9 Titia Team members and 71 customers are the Population. Mechanism of sampling with purposive sampling method. The number of samples in this study were 80 respondents. Collecting data using interview, observation, documentation, and distribution of questionnaires in theiform of a Likert scale which is tested for validity and reliability. The analyticalitechnique applied is descriptive analysis, normality test, hypothesis testing consisting of t test, simultaneous f test, and R2 test. The results for the effect of the makeup business management strategy on service quality are 0.431 with no significant effect category, the results of the frequency distribution are 98.75%, the value of the influence of customer loyalty on service quality is 0.00 with a significant effect category, the frequency distribution is 71.25%. The r2 test value is 24.9% where the makeup business management strategy and customer loyalty have a simultaneous effect on service quality. For further researchers, it is recommended to develop similar things in the makeup business management strategy in order to survive.]]>

<![CDATA[Internship is one aspect that greatly influences career planning in students. This study aims to determine the correlation between internship and career planning in students of the 2019 class of Cosmetology and Beauty department, Padang State University. This type of research is correlation which has two variables, namely the variable internship (X) and the variable career planning (Y). The population in this study were students of the 2019 Cosmetology and Beauty Department, Padang State University. The sample in the study was 37 students from the 2019 class of beauty and cosmetology department who were taken by random sampling. Data collection on educational variables used documentation data, namely internship value data and on career planning variables using questionnaires. Data analysis used product moment correlation analysis to determine the correlation between intership and career planning. The results of the data analysis show that the value of the correlation coefficient (r) between the variables of education and student career planning is 0.597 and the p value is 0.0000. The determinant value (r2) is 35.7%, so this indicates that internship makes a positive and significant contribution to student career planning. It can be concluded that: there is a positive and significant correlation between internship with career planning for students of the Cosmetology and Beauty department class of 2019, Padang State University. The results of this study can be used as material for consideration for lecturers of the Cosmetology and Beauty department in improving the educational quality of student skills and student career planning through the learning process, and for universities as material for consideration in curriculum development to improve the quality of student education.]]>

<![CDATA[This study analyzes the effectiveness of video tutorial-based Edmodo learning media in Hair and Bun Styling courses. This research method used the Research and Development (R & D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The hypothesis test used in this research was the t-test. The results showed that video tutorial-based learning media was effective, with differences in student learning outcomes between the control and experimental classes. This research has produced an effective tutorial video learning media that can be used to improve students' understanding of the material and practical skills in lectures on learning Hair and Bun Styling. Using video tutorial learning media can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of time use in the learning process to be carried out optimally. Video tutorial-based learning media displayed through the Edmodo application has ease in learning because it can be accessed independently by students and can take advantage of existing technology because it is accessed via students' smartphones and maximizes the use of existing facilities and infrastructure.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan rias wajah sehari-hari terhadap kepercayaan diri. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi di Fakultas Pariwisata dan perhotelan berjumlah 454 orang. Mengingat besarnya populasi maka penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling, sehingga sampel yang dianggap mewakili populasinya, yaitu mahasiswi yang menggunakan rias wajah sehari-hari di Fakultas Pariwisata dan Perhotelan berjumlah 109 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dengan skala likert yang berjumlah pernyataan sebanyak 50 item. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase dengan menggunakan SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan rias wajah sehari-hari mahasiswi di Fakultas Pariwisata dan Perhotelan Universitas Negeri Padang termasuk kategori “sedang” dengan persentase 74%, sedangkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswi di Fakultas Pariwisata dan Perhotelan Universitas Negeri Padang termasuk kategori “sedang” dengan persentase 72%. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, koefisien regresi bernilai positif yaitu menunjukkan pengaruh searah dan nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh sebesar (6,707 > 1,659) yaitu menunjukkan variabel penggunaan makeup berpengaruh terhadap variabel kepercayaan diri. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan wawasan serta ilmu pengetahuan mengenai pengaruh penggunaan rias wajah sehari-hari terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswi di Fakultas Pariwisata dan Perhotelan Universitas Negeri Padang.
