Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari pengaruh penggunaan bahan pewarna sintesis dalam jangka waktu yang lama dapat mengakibatkan gangguan kesehatan sehingga perlu dicari alternatif yaitu pewarna berbahan alami yang berasal dari tumbuhan. Pewarna alami yang dapat dikembangkan adalah antosianin yang ditemukan pada tanaman daun Miana. Penelitian akan memanfaatkan dan melakukan pembuatan eyeshadow dengan menggunakan bahan alami dari ekstrak daun Miana karna belum pernah diteliti sebelumnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut:  Menganalisis cara pembuatan eyeshadow compact dari ekstrak daun miana (Coleus scutellarioides [L.] Benth) sebagai pewarna alami. Menganalisis kelayakan ekstrak daun Miana sebagai pewarna alami untuk sediaan eyeshadow compact dilihat dari uji Laboratorium, uji Organoleptik, uji Hedonik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah daun Miana yang di jadikan sebagai bahan pewarna alami untuk Eyeshadow Compact. Instrumen penelitian yaitu dengan Uji Laboratorium, Uji Organoleptik, Uji Hedonik. Hasil pengujian laboratorium yaitu positif mengandung zat Antosianin, pengujian pH hasil pH 5,24 dan dinyatakan homogen karna warna eyeshadow tersebar secara merata. Berdasarkan penilaian uji organoleptik tekstur cukup Halus persentase 43%. Uji organoleptik Aroma sangat beraroma Daun Miana persentase 72%. Uji organoleptik Warna bewarna kecoklatan (coklat muda) persentase 58%. Hasil Uji Organoleptik Daya Lekat persentase 72% Cukup Lekat. Uji Hedonik (Kesukaan Panelis) menyatakan menyukai Eyeshadow Ekstrak Daun Miana persentase 72%. Hasil penelitian daun Miana (Coleus scutellariodes [L.]  Benth) sebagai pewarna alami untuk pembuatan eyeshadow di nyatakan Layak dan dapat digunakan.

Abstract

Kulit berminyak merupakan salah satu masalah kulit yang banyak dijumpai pada rias wajah, oleh sebab itu penggunaan kosmetik untuk rias wajah diperlukan salah satunya kosmetik base make up sebagai alas sebelum memulai make up sangat diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk a) untuk mengetahui hasil tata rias wajah pengantin koto gadang dengan penggunaan base make up liquid, b) untuk mengetahui hasil tata rias wajah pengantin koto gadang dengan penggunaan base make up mousse, c) untuk menganalisa perbandingan hasil rias pengantin koto gadang dengan penggunaan base make up liquid dan mousse. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimen. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu one shoot case study, populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswi Tata Rias dan Kecantikan Universitas Negeri Padang dengan 6 sampel dan 7 panelis. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu metode purposive random sampling,teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji T dengan penggunaan program SPSS 26. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh rata-rata pada hasil penggunaan base make up liquid indikator kehalusan 4,19 dengan kategori halus, indikator kerataan 4,23 dengan kategori sangat rata, dan indkator katahanan 4,00 dengan kategori tahan. Rata rata pada hasil penggunaan base make up mousse indikator kehalusan 4,42 dengan kategori sangat halus, indikator kerataan 4,14 dengan kategori rata dan indikator ketahanan 4,52 dengan kategori sangat tahan. Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan dari segi kehalusan dengan penggunaan base make up liquid dan mousse nilai p=0.506 (p>0,05), tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan dari segi kerataan dengan penggunaan base make up liquid dan mousse nilai p=0.812 (p>0,05), tidak terdapat pebedaan signifikan dari segi ketahanan dengan penggunaan base make up liquid dan mousse nilai p=0.106 (p>0,05). Perbandingan dilihat dari 3 jam setelah pengaplikasian riasan. Disarankan pada penata rias menggunakan base make up mousse sebagai alas/base make up terhadap kulit berminyak untuk hasil rias pengantin yang sangat halus, rata dan sangat tahan.

Abstract

Society 5.0 envisions a future that emphasizes the integration of advanced technologies with human life to foster a more human-centered, sustainable, and inclusive community. A key skill in this context is found in the craft and wedding gift course. This course not only equips students with comprehensive knowledge of crafting techniques for wedding gifts but also prepares them to engage in the rapidly expanding field of entrepreneurship. The objective of this study is to develop an e-module focused on teaching wedding gift-making skills for vocational students. This e-module will be tailored to fulfill students' needs for an interactive, engaging, and flexible learning experience. The research employs a development research (R&D) approach, aiming to enhance the quality of education by implementing the ADDIE model. The developed e-module received a very valid assessment, with 90.67% from the media validator and 90.25% from the material validator In addition, this e-module was also considered very practical by lecturers with a score of 85% and by students with a score of 92%. The decision-making criteria were if the sig value (2-tailed) <0.05, then the proposed hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

Hair stylists in using curly iron are still not varied, students still use flat iron rather than curly iron for hair styling. The purpose of this research is to determine the comparison of the results and curl durability of curls using a 25 mm diameter curling iron and a 38 mm diameter curly iron for Hollywood Wave wavy hair styling. This research uses pre-experimental research methods. The sample in this research was 6 Cosmetology and Beauty students class of 2020. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques uses descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests, namely normality tests and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of research from the comparison of Hollywood Wave wavy hair styling showed that the results of the curl shape using 25 mm and 38 mm diameter curly iron were considered quite neat, and from the aspect of curl durability or hair waves were considered resistand using a 25 mm diameter curly iron. And there is a significant difference in Hollywood Wave wavy hair styling using a 25 mm diameter curly iron with a 38 mm diameter which is proven by the significance value obtained of 0,000. This research can be used as education abaout the use of curling tools with different diameters, and it is recommended to use a 25 mm diameter curly iron for styling Hollywood Wave hair because the waves are more “S” shaped.

Abstract

This research is motivated by scalp and hair disorders that affect beauty. Hair is generally considered a crown for every woman. One of the issues with the scalp and hair is dandruff. The factors causing dandruff include poor hair hygiene and the use of inappropriate hair cosmetics. Therefore, there needs to be an alternative to reduce dandruff, such as using hair tonic. The purpose of this study is to analyze a hair tonic made from pandan leaves with treatment frequencies of once a day and twice a day for two weeks.This type of research employs a quasi-experimental method. The design used is a Non-equivalent Control Group. The population for this study consists of women aged 19-24, specifically students from the Class of 2020 in Beauty and Makeup, with a sample size of 6. The data collection techniques include observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. Based on the research results, the use of hair tonic made from pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) as a cosmetic hair tonic for treating dandruff shows that in the indicator of the amount of flakes/dandruff, the treatment of once a day resulted in an average category of 5 (no flakes) while the treatment of twice a day resulted in an average category of 4 (significant reduction in dandruff). The average results indicate that the once-a-day hair tonic treatment is more effective in reducing dandruff.

Abstract

This research is motivated by damage to hair which causes hair loss. Several Padang State University students experienced abnormal hair loss. The way to treat hair loss is to use shampoo made from flower extract. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of hair loss treatment using cosmetic hibiscus extract shampoo at a frequency of 2 days once and 3 days once used. This research uses pure experimental methods. The sample in this research was 6 cosmetology and beauty students from the class of 2023. Data collection techniques use observation methods, documentation and assessment sheets. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test and independent sample test with SPSS 26. The normality test results show a sig>0.01 value, namely 200, which is normally distributed. In the homogeneity test results, the value of sig>0.01, the Levene statistic result is 1.066, indicating that the results have a homogeneous variance. The results of the independent simple test using spss26 were nil. ai sig >0.01, namely 0.660, shows that there is a comparison between the effect of using shampoo from hibiscus extract in the 2 day 1 treatment with the 3 day 1 treatment. From the results of the effect of using hibiscus extract shampoo, treatment 2 days 1 time is more effective or faster to prevent hair loss.

Abstract

The article discusses the challenges in traditional educational assessment methods, such as limited personalization, inefficient feedback, and an overemphasis on lower-order thinking skills. The study aims to explore the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational assessment, identifying current trends, assessing its impact on learning, and forecasting future developments. A systematic literature review (SLR) was employed to examine the integration of AI in both formative and summative assessments. The findings reveal that AI-based assessment systems provide adaptive, personalized feedback, promote student engagement, and foster individualized learning paths. AI technologies, like machine learning and natural language processing, are particularly effective in providing real-time feedback and evaluating higher-order competencies, including critical thinking and creativity. However, challenges such as data privacy and algorithmic bias remain critical concerns. The study concludes that AI has significant potential to transform educational assessment, offering more dynamic, efficient, and personalized evaluation methods. Future research should focus on addressing ethical concerns like data privacy and algorithmic bias while enhancing AI-driven assessments' adaptability and scalability to support diverse learner needs.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effectiveness of the Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) learning model and the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in terms of learning achievement, self-confidence, and students' critical thinking skills in the Digital Beauty Design course. This type of research is Quasi experiment. The subjects of this study were two classes of students from the Department of Cosmetology and Beauty Education, Padang State University who were randomly selected. Data analysis to test the effectiveness of the GDL model and PjBL model in terms of each dependent variable using the t test. While the data analysis technique to test the difference between the effectiveness of the GDL model and the PjBL model uses the MANOVA test. The results showed that, in terms of learning achievement, self-confidence, and students' critical thinking skills, it is known that the application of the GDL model in the Digital Beauty Design course is effective, the application of the PjBL Model in the Digital Beauty Design course is effective, and there is no difference in the effectiveness of the GDL model and the PjBL model. in the Digital Beauty Design course.

Abstract

Career planning is a process of determining activities or plans to be carried out in the future as a step towards achieving predetermined goals including knowledge and understanding of oneself, knowledge and understanding of work, and the use of correct reasoning between oneself and the world of work. . Individual career planning is influenced by several factors, including self-efficacy and internal locus of control. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence between self-efficacy and internal locus of control on the career planning of students of the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology, Padang State University. This research uses ex post-facto method. The population in this study were 459 students of the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology, Padang State University. From a total population of 459 students, a sample of 210 students was taken. The research sample was taken 210 students taken randomly. The data collection instrument used a scale, while data analysis used multiple regression techniques. Based on the analysis of research data, the results obtained 1) there is a significant influence of self-efficacy on career planning of students of the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology, Padang State University, 2) there is a significant influence of internal locus of control on career planning of students of the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology, Padang State University, 3) there is a simultaneous effect of self-efficacy and internal locus of control on the career planning of students of the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology, Padang State University.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality on customer satisfaction at Erlin Beauty Gallery beauty salon, West Pasaman. In an era of increasingly tight competition in the service business, service quality is a key factor in maintaining customer loyalty. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Samples were taken as many as 45 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument was arranged based on five dimensions of, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results showed that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at the beauty salon at Erlin Beauty Gallery. Service quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction at Erlin Beauty Gallery Beauty Salon with a significant value of 0.000 ≤0.05 and a t count value of 5.504≥ t table 2,017, it can be concluded that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Erlin Beauty Gallery beauty salons. Therefore, it is important for beauty salons to be able to improve the quality of service provided to customers so that customer satisfaction is met and they decide to undergo treatment at ErlinBeuty.
