Abstract

Intellectual disability is a child who suffers from intellectual ability below average and tends to have retardation in intelligence, physical, emotional, and social. They are not independent enough in keeping their own health especially oral hygiene, it can affect their oral health behavior. Education that is one of external factors influences health behavior. Education and knowledge influence each other so that people are expected to have high education in order to be knowledgeable especially in terms of maintaining health. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between education level and oral health behavior of children suffering from intellectual disability. This research was an observational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The subjects of this study were a number of children of SDLB, SMPLB and SMALB in SLB Sidoarjo, with total sampling as many as 115 students. The subjects were asked to fill out a questionnaire of knowledge and attitude how to brush teeth and performed the action as well. The collected data were analyzed by using spearman correlation test. The result of this research showed that correlation coefficient for education level with knowledge, attitude and behavior was > 0,05, so there was no relation between those variables. Meanwhile, the result of correlation coefficient of education with action was < 0.05, so there was correlation between those two. The conclusion of this research is there is no correlation between the level of education and oral health behavior of intellectual disability children in SLB Sidoarjo. Abstract

Background: Geographic tongue is a tongue disorder. The lesion is a asymptomatic and rarely lesion. These disorder is influenced by genetic and other predisposing factors. Previous studies had shown geographic tongue occured more frequently in female than male, in these study will be disscused how the prevalence and distribution by age and gender. Objective: To determine the prevalence and distribution of geographic tongue of University Students in Faculty of Dentistry University of Jember class of 2014-2016. Method: Was used descriptive epidemiology and the results presented in table and would be described. Result and Conclusion: Results showed the prevalence was 14 patients from 324 subjects or 4,3%. The results showed higher in female than male and higher in 18 years old. Keywords: Distribution, geographic tongue, prevalence.

Abstract

Background: Increasing number of health care providers triggered fierce competition among health care providers which cause any health care facilities should be put orientation on quality improvement and patient satisfaction. Dimensions can be used to measure the quality of health care is speed time service. Objective: To determine the relationship between the speed time service to patient satisfaction. Method: The study was observational analytic research with cross sectional survey design. The study was conducted by measuring the speed time service from registration until treatment completed using a stopwatch and measure the level of satisfaction by doing interviews with the guidelines Likert scale. Results were then tested Kolmogorov-Smirnov continued Spearman correlation test. Results and conclusions:The highest frequency for time registration is 49 % faster , 81 % speed waiting time is very fast , the speed at OD ( Oral Diagnosis ) 68 % very quickly and speed treatment time was 42 % . The level of patient satisfaction found 71 % of respondents were satisfied . Spearman correlation test results showed that there is a relationship between the speed time service to the patients satisfaction in RSGM Universitas Jember . Keywords: Patient satisfaction, RSGM Universitas Jember, speed time service.
