Abstract

This study examines the managerial competence of school principals in improving the professionalism of teachers at SMPN 9 Jember for the 2023/2024 academic year. The main objective of this study is to identify the steps taken by school principals in the development of teacher professionalism and their impact on the quality of learning. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and analysis of related documents. The results of the study show that the Principal implements his managerial competence through clear planning, teacher involvement in various trainings and seminars. These findings confirm that the strengthening of the managerial competence of school principals contributes significantly to the improvement of teacher professionalism, which in turn has a positive impact on student learning processes and outcomes. Abstract

Stunting menjadi isu kesehatan nasional yang membutuhkan perhatian serius, terutama di Kabupaten Minahasa, Sulawesi Utara, yang masih berada di bawah standar aman. Untuk mengatasinya, MIN 1 Minahasa bekerja sama dengan Program Studi Farmasi FMIPA Universitas Sam Ratulangi (Unsrat) melaksanakan Program Pemberdayaan Berbasis Masyarakat (PBM) terkait edukasi gizi anak (ega) melalui program pencegahan stunting berbasis produk pangan lokal. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, keterampilan memasak, dan konsumsi pangan lokal yang bergizi di lingkungan sekolah. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi gizi terkait pencegahan stunting, pelatihan memasak berbahan pangan lokal, distribusi paket makanan sehat, serta pengenalan menu berbasis pangan lokal di kantin sekolah. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 79 siswa dan 30 guru serta komite, dimulai dengan pengukuran kesehatan siswa melalui berat badan, tinggi badan, dan lingkar lengan. Guru dan komite sekolah mengikuti pelatihan memasak berbahan lokal seperti kripik daun gedi, es krim alpukat, dan minuman berbasis labu kuning (sambiki), sementara siswa diperkenalkan pada menu-menu tersebut. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran akan stunting dan gizi seimbang, dari 50% sebelum program menjadi 90% setelah program. Keterampilan memasak guru dan komite juga meningkat dari 50% menjadi 90%, sedangkan konsumsi pangan lokal di kalangan siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan tingkat kepuasan mencapai 90%. Pengukuran status gizi siswa yang menerima paket makanan sehat menunjukkan perbaikan yang signifikan. Program ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan konsumsi pangan lokal di lingkungan sekolah. Langkah ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam menurunkan angka stunting di Kabupaten Minahasa serta meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan anak-anak melalui asupan gizi yang lebih baik. ABSTRACT Stunting is one of the national health issues that requires serious attention, especially in Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, which is still below safe standards. To overcome this problem, MIN 1 Minahasa in collaboration with the Pharmacy Study Program of FMIPA Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat) implemented a Community-Based Empowerment Program (CEP) related to child nutrition education (ega) through a stunting prevention program based on local food products. The program aims to increase awareness, cooking skills, and consumption of nutritious local food in the school’s elements. The methods used include nutrition education related to stunting prevention, cooking training with local ingredients, distribution of healthy food packages, and the introduction of local food-based menus in school canteens. This activity involved 79 students and 30 teachers as well as a committee, starting with measuring the health of students through weight, height, and arm circumference. Teachers and school committees participated in cooking training with local ingredients such as gedi leaf chips, avocado ice cream, and yellow pumpkin-based drinks (sambiki), while students were introduced to the menus. The results of this program show an increase in awareness of stunting and the importance of balanced nutrition, from 50% before the program to 90% after the program. The cooking skills of teachers and committees also increased from 50% to 90%, while the consumption of local food among students showed a significant increase with a satisfaction rate of 90%. Measurement of nutritional status of students who received healthy food packages showed significant improvements. Overall, this program has a positive impact in increasing awareness and consumption of local food in the school environment. This step is expected to contribute to reducing the stunting rate in Minahasa Regency and improving the quality of children's health through better nutritional intake. Abstract

This study examines the Salafi doctrine, which emphasizes the importance of returning to the Qur’an and hadith based on the understanding of Salafus Shalih (the pious predecessors). Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the article focuses on Salafi religious practices in West Sumatra, analyzing how Salafis interpret and implement the sunnah in a contemporary context. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed by categorizing the information into subtopics to extract deeper meanings. The findings indicate that the kajian sunnah (study of the sunnah) among Salafis in West Sumatra is characterized by exclusivity, doctrinal rigidity, and a textual approach. Moreover, the study reveals that the doctrine of adhering to the understanding and practices of Salafus Shalih serves as the cornerstone of Salafi da’wah strategies. This doctrine positions the Salafus Shalih generation as the ideal model for understanding and connecting with the essence of the Qur’an and hadith. The study concludes that the romanticization of Salafus Shalih functions as a central da’wah strategy for Salafi groups, facilitating the mobilization of their religious understanding and practices within contemporary society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious culture in fostering students' spir-itual intelligence at SD Baitul Amien 1 and SD Baitul Amien 2 Jember. The research focuses on strategies for instilling religious cultural values, the development of religious culture pro-grams, and their implications for students' spiritual intelligence. A qualitative approach was used with a case study and multi-case design. Data were collected through interviews, obser-vations, and document analysis. The research subjects were purposively selected, including the principal, vice principal of curriculum, Islamic education teachers, and students. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, with data validity tested through technique and source triangulation. The findings reveal that: (1) Strategies for instilling reli-gious cultural values are carried out through the development of an integrated curriculum, the creation of a supportive learning environment, and the involvement of all school compo-nents; (2) Religious culture programs include congregational Duha prayer, Monday-Thursday fasting, congregational prayer, prayer habituation, honesty canteens, and the 3S culture (Smile, Greet, Salute); (3) The implementation of religious culture has multidimen-sional implications, encompassing spiritual-personal, social-interpersonal, and academic-intellectual dimensions. This study concludes that a structured and integrated religious cul-ture can be an effective strategy for fostering students' spiritual intelligence in public schools.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the cultural wisdom of Madura and its internalization process in the educational process at the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bette Village, Pamekasan, Madura. Gap research and novelty in the research are specifications of Madurese cultural values that focus on forming students' character. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The data sources in this study were the principal, two ethical study teachers, and one guidance and counseling teacher. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion stages. Data validity was strengthened by method triangulation and confirmability. Based on the discussion of the research results, the cultural values internalized in the educational process at the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School are being devoted to parents, respecting the elders and loving the younger ones, becoming individuals who care, are responsive, and are ready to assist others.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by increased blood glucose sugar levels or referred to as hyperglycemia. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between patient knowledge and hyperglycemia prevention behavior in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Mangaran Health Center Working Area. This study used an analytic descriptive method with a cross sectional method approach. The instrument used was a questionnaire, of patient knowledge about hyperglycemia prevention and hyperglycemia prevention behavior, then the data that had been collected was tested using the chi square test. The results of the study include good knowledge and the results of research based on good preventive behavior. Bivariate data data analysis obtained results by using the chi square test. Regarding the independent variable and the dependent variable, the p- value = 0.002 (α ≤ 0,05). The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant correlation between patient knowledge and hyperglycemia prevention behavior in patients with diabetes mellitus. The suggestion in this research is that this research is expected to be a source of information for patients about public knowledge due to hyperglycemia and preventive behavior.

Abstract

Pemahaman islam yang tekstualis seringkali mengakibatkan vonis kafir dan bid’ah pada sesama muslim. wasthiyyah (moderat) memandang sikap yang ditunjukkan oleh seorang muslim harus belandaskan pada nilai moderat dan inklusif, sehingga akan terciptanya kedamaian, sesuai dengan Pendidikan Islam Inklusif yang merekomendasikan keterbukaan dalam beragama di dalam bingkai rahmatan lil alamin. Melihat permasalahan tersebut maka perlu adanya proses implementasi nilai-nilai wasathiyyah, sebagai langkah untuk menyebarluaskan ajaran islam rahmat dan kasih sayang, berlandaskan pada aqidah ahlussunnah wal jama’ah yang bertujuan untuk menecetak santri yang berpemahaman moderat, toleran, dan nasionalis. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana implementasi nilai tawassuth melalui Pendidikan Islam inklusif pada mahasantri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Bidayah Jember? 2) Bagaimana implementasi nilai tasasmuh melalui Pendidikan Islam inklusif pada mahasantri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Bidayah Jember? 3) Bagaimana implementasi nilai I’tiraf bil urf melalui Pendidikan Islam inklusif pada mahasantri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Bidayah Jember? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk menganalisis nilai tawassuth melalui Pendidikan Islam inklusif pada mahasantri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Bidayah Jember. 2) Untuk menganalisis nilai tasamuh melalui Pendidikan Islam inklusif pada mahasantri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Bidayah Jember, 3) Untuk menganalisis nilai I’tiraf bil urf melalui Pendidikan Islam inklusif pada mahasantri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Bidayah Jember. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semiterstruktur, observasi partisipasi pasif, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana yang meliputi pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik kredibilitas, transferbilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas. Temuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) nilai tawassuth harus ditanamkan melalui kajian-kajian keagamaan yang berpatokan pada aqidah ahlusunnah wal jama’ah yang berpandangan moderat dan inklusif. 2) Nilai tasamuh adalah proses menghargai pendapat dan bertoleransi pada kebenaran pendapat tanpa merendahkan pendapat yang lain. 3) Nilai I’tirat bil urf adalah proses penerimaan budaya lokal sebagai praktik sosial keagamaan dan merawat warisan kreasi intelektual para ulama salaf. PENDAHULUAN Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia memiliki sejarah yang panjang dan berakar kuat dalam masyarakat. Ia menjadi salah satu pilar utama dalam penyebaran agama Islam di Nusantara. Tongkat estafet pendidikan Islam Indonesia memulai babak baru dalam perjalanan panjang perjuangan Islam yang bernafaskan rahmatan lil alamin, perbedaan situasi dan kondisi pada masyarakat menuntut adanya penerapan sikap yang inklusif dalam beragama. Hal semacam ini menjadikan Indonesia harus bisa mewadahi segala aspek yang berkenaan dengan ras, suku, dan agama. Dengan begitu harmonisasi di Indonesia akan sesuai dengan UUD Pasal 28 huruf E dijelaskan sebagai berikut: “Setiap orang bebas memeluk agama dan beribadat menurut agamanya, memilih pendidikan dan pengajaran, memilih pekerjaan, memilih kewarganegaraan, memilih tempat tinggal diwilayah negara dan meninggalkannya, serta berhak kembali.”[1] Sejalan dengan undang undang diatas, Agama Islam menjadikan konsep wasathiyyah (moderasi) sebagai sarana penyambung sosial antara ras, suku & agama yang ada di Indonesia. Dr. Ahmad Umar Hasyim, dalam wasathiyyat al-Islam mendefinisikan wasathiyyah (moderasi) sebagai keseimbangan dan kesetimpalan antara kedua ujung sehingga salah satunya tidak mengatasi ujung yang lain, tiada keberlebihan dan kekurangan, tiada pelampauan batas tidak juga pengurangan batas, ia mengikuti yang paling utama, paling berkualitas, dan paling sempurna.[2] Wasathiyyah (moderasi beragama) dalam Peraturan Presiden Nomor 58 Tahun 2023, tentang penguatan moderasi beragama pasal 1 menyebutkan: “Moderasi Beragama adalah cara pandang, sikap, dan praktik beragama dalam kehidupan bersama dengan cara mengejawantahkan esensi ajaran agama dan kepercayaan yang melindungi martabat kemanusiaan dan membangun kemaslahatan umum berlandaskan prinsip adil, berimbang, dan menaati Pancasila dan Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945 sebagai kesepakatan berbangsa.”[3] Ajaran Agama Islam merekomendasi adanya penerapan nilai-nilai moderasi yang meliputi: moderatisasi, toleransi, dan menerima kebudayaan lokal. ÇÊÍÌÈ Artinya: Dan demikian (pula) kami menjadikan kalian (umat Islam), umat penengah (adil dan pilihan), agar kamu menjadi saksi atas seluruh manusia dan agar Rasul (Muhammad SAW) menjadi saksi atas kamu…(Q.S Al-Baqarah:143).[4] Ummatan wasathan merupakan suatu harapan supaya mereka dapat tampil sebagai umat pilihan yang kerap memiliki sifat memberi penengah maupun berlaku adil, baik untuk menjalankan ibadah selaku individu ataupun ketika menjalankan interaksi sosial selaku anggota masyarakat. Islam mengajarkan agar tetap berpedoman pada Al-Qur’an dan hadis Nabi yang menjadi sumber utama pada ajaran Islam itu sendiri agar bisa bersikap moderat.[5] Pengalaman beragama dengan sikap moderat mengakibatkan penolakan pada sikap tathorruf (ekstrimis) yang berujung pada tindakan ekstrimisme. Namun fakta dilapangan mununjukkan adanya ketimpangan kondisi yang ada. menurut Laporan Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) bertajuk Global Terrorism Index (GTI) 2023 menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia menempati urutan ketiga negara yang paling terdampak terorisme di kawasan Asia Pasifik pada tahun ini. Indonesia tercatat memperoleh skor sebesar 5,502 poin.[6] Maraknya aksi ekstrimisme atas nama Islam di dunia maupun Indonesia sedikit banyak telah menempatkan umat Islam sebagai pihak yang dipersalahkan. Ajaran jihad dalam Islam seringkali dijadikan sasaran tuduhan sebagai sumber utama terjadinya kekerasan atas nama agama oleh umat Islam. Dalam pandangan Noor Haidi Hasan, bahwa sesuatu dikatakan ekstrimis jika mengabsahkan penggunaan metode kekerasan dalam upaya mewujudkan perubahan radikal dalam sistem politik ataupun masyarakat.[7] Dengan demikian, ukuran ekstrimisme terletak pada kecenderungan mengupayakan perubahan radikal terhadap sistem yang ada dengan menggunakan kekerasan. Ketika ekstrimisme itu didasari oleh semangat menggantikan sistem yang ada dengan sistem baru yang bersumber dari syari’ah, maka ini disebut ekstrimisme Islam. Apabila ekstrimisme itu dipoles dengan doktrin-doktrin jihad, dalam arti pengesahan kekerasan itu dengan dalih jihad, maka disebut jihadisme. Dari jihadisme inilah berkembang terorisme Islam, atau lebih tepatnya, terorisme atas nama Islam. Abstract

Minangkabau was known for its dominant Islamic education history especially in modern times since the beginning of the twentieth century as a number of so-called madrasah or Islamic educational reforms have been credited to several prominent figures in the region. This region also has a significant history and tradition of matriarchal and matrilineal kinship that relate to women’s position, and their contributions in the public affairs, including in the field of education. Several prominent women from the region have been named as founders of several schools for women, or journalists that campaign for women’s education. This study examines the socio-historical aspects of women and education and the women’s educational movement initiatives from the cases of few female figures such as Rahmah el-Yunusiyyah and others. From a historical perspective and qualitative library research data, this study shows the presence of local female figures in the field of education alongside their male counterparts amidst the kaum muda and kaum tua socio-religious contestation. The socio-local traditions influenced women’s presence and contribution to the public sphere, and those women not only established schools for women but also advocated women’s rights, including their rights for education through journalism and politics.

The West Pasaman Regency government hopes that Da’i Nagari can improve the religious life of the Muslim community in order to achieve the vision and mission. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) to reveal the performance process of Da’i Nagari; (2) reveal the role of Da’i Nagari; (3) reveal the evaluation of Da’i Nagari; and (4) reveal the inhibiting factors of Da’i Nagari in improving the religious life of the Muslim community in West Pasaman Regency. The research subjects consisted of 6 Da’i Nagari people. Each nagari was taken by 2 Da’i Nagari who served in Nagari Koto Baru, Kapa and Lingkuang Aua. The 3 nagari are inhabited by Javanese, Minang and Batak (JAMBAK) tribes. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate, the process of improving the religious life of the Muslim community in West Pasaman Regency is related to how Da’i Nagari’s efforts to empower the community through religious programs. The materials given by Da’i Nagari to the community were selected according to the conditions of the people in West Pasaman Regency. Empowerment as a learning process is carried out by Da’i Nagari by teaching children in TPA. Da’i’s efforts to empower the community through religious programs such as sermons, lectures, TPA education, TPA guidance, and so on. Da’i Nagari also acts as a facilitator, educator, messenger and skills. Evaluation of the improvement of the religious life of the Muslim community is carried out by making comparisons between the data and facts obtained in the field, then reported to the nagari then the nagari party provides a report to the sub-district and to the welfare area. This report aims to assess the extent to which the activity process has been carried out. The inhibiting factor is the fanaticism of the community towards one mazhab and the availability of a limited budget and the lack of community participation in accepting the empowerment carried out by Da’i Nagari.
