Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Archerys ID Model learning design in improving students' understanding of ethics and performance in informatics learning in grade VIII of SMP Pertiwi 2 Padang. The problems identified were low motivation and student performance due to monotonous learning methods and lack of confidence. This study uses mixed methods with quantitative data collection through pretest-posttest and questionnaire, as well as qualitative data through observation and interviews. This study involved grade VIII students who were randomly divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was taught using the Archerys ID model, while the control group used conventional learning methods. The results of quantitative data analysis showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of ethics and performance after the application of the Archerys ID model. Thus, it can be concluded that the Archerys ID Model learning design is effective in improving ethical understanding and student performance in informatics learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the project-based learning model on Indonesian subjects in grade VIII at MTS Muhammadiyah Padang Panjang. This research was carried out with a quantitative research method in the form of a Quasi Experiment. There were 70 students as a sample in class VIII consisting of 35 people in the experimental class and 35 people in the control class. The data collection technique used is a test at the beginning and at the end of Indonesian learning. The data analysis techniques are normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests with the t-test method. The results of the study show that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of grade VIII students, as evidenced by the t-test value that has been carried out using Microsoft Excel in this study of 9.395 which is greater than the ttable 1.668 at the significance level of α 0.05, meaning that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. There is a significant difference between the average learning outcomes of students using the PjBL learning model. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes in Indonesian subject grade VIII MTS Kauman Muhammadiyah Padang Panjang

Abstract

This research was motivated by students who participated in the Teaching Campus (KM) who had not been able to master and apply pedagogic competencies properly while participating in the KM program. This study aims to determine the relationship between the pedagogic competence of teaching campus students and the learning outcomes of TP FIP UNP teaching practice. This research was conducted using a quantitative research method in the form of correlation. Where there are 31 sample students who took part in KM. The data collection technique is the learning outcomes of student teaching practice. The data analysis techniques are normality test and linearity test with product moment correlation test mode. Based on the person correlation test of variable X of 0.043, this value is between 0.00-0.19 which means that the level of closeness of the variable X with Y is very weak, the Pearson Correlation value in a negative form indicates that if the variable X increases, the Y variable decreases and indicates that the Pearson correlation relationship is not unidirectional. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between pedagogic competence and the learning outcomes of KM students' teaching practice.

Abstract

Critical thinking in informatics learning is an important competency that needs to be developed in students. This study aims to investigate the effect of the use of YouTube video media on the improvement of critical thinking skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Painan. Through a quantitative approach with an experimental design, this study compares the critical thinking skills of students who receive learning with YouTube video media (experimental class) with students who receive conventional learning (control class). The research sample was taken at a simple random rate from the student population of grade VIII, namely class VIII.6 (experimental class) and class VIII.4 (control class). Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that had been validated, consisting of 26 statements to measure critical thinking skills. Data analysis was carried out in two stages, namely descriptive analysis to describe data characteristics and inferential analysis using a t-test to test the average difference in critical thinking skills between the two groups. The results showed that the average score of critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class (95.56) was significantly higher than that of the control class (87.36) with a significance value of 0.001. This indicates that the use of YouTube video media is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in informatics subjects

Abstract

This research aims to increase student engagement in learning through the development and implementation of interactive features on Moodle. Some of the features developed include quizzes, interactive discussion forums, and learning videos. This type of research is Research and Development with a 4D development model. Research data was collected through questionnaires and validation sheets. Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner to determine the level of student involvement and the quality of the LMS. At the development stage, validation tests were carried out by four validators, three media validators and one material. A practicality trial was carried out on Phase E students of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung totaling 36 students to test the practicality of the LMS developed. The assessment results from the material validators received an average score of 4.6 with the category "very valid". The results of the validation of media experts with validator I got an average score of 4.95 with the category "very valid" while the results of validation by validator II got an average score of 4.95 with the category "very valid" and the results of validator III got an average score of 4.95 with the category "very valid". This LMS can be said to be practical because it has conducted a practicality test with an average score of 4.37 and an effectiveness test with a score of 4.18. Based on the results of the validity, practicality and effectiveness tests, it can be concluded that this LMS is feasible to be implemented in the school

Abstract

Abstract. One important component in supporting children with special needs (ABK) in improving their Activity of Daily Living (ADL) skills is assistive technology. Teachers' skills in designing and modifying assistive technology must be improved so that teachers can use assistive technology according to the needs of ABK.  The purpose of this activity is to equip the principals of SLB Limapuluh Kota Regency in selecting and choosing assistive technology for children with special needs. The activity is packaged in the form of a workshop held in July 2024. The workshop implementation activities will be held in July 2024. The target audience for the service activities of the workshop on selecting assistive technology to improve the ADL skills of children with special needs are school principals throughout the Limapuluh Kota Regency. The problem found is that SLBN teachers in Limapuluh Kota Regency do not yet have the skills to select or sort assistive technology that suits the characteristics of children with special needs. The activity scenario consists of three steps. The first step, the participants are introduced to assistive technology at various levels. Second, participants work independently to conduct needs assessments and create follow-up plans related to the use of assistive technology in their respective schools. And the third step is presenting the results of assistive technology designs for ADL skills. Through this workshop, participants have the skills to conduct needs assessments and create follow-up plans related to assistive technology according to the characteristics of ABK.   Abstrak. Salah satu komponen penting dalam mendukung anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan Activity of Daily Living (ADL) adalah teknologi asistif. Keterampilan guru untuk merancang dan memodifikasi teknologi asistif harus ditingkatkan agar guru-guru bisa menggunakan teknologi asistif sesuai dengan kebutuhan ABK. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk membekali kepala sekolah SLB Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota dalam memilih dan memiliah teknologi asistif bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Kegiatan dikemas dalam bentuk workshop yang diselenggarakan pada bulan Juli 2024. Sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian workshop pemilihan dan pemilahan teknologi asistif bagi peningkatan keterampilan activity of daily living (ADL) anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah kepala sekolah se Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Permasalahan yang ditemukan bahwa guru-guru SLBN Se Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota belum memiliki keterampilan dalam  memilih atau memilah teknologi asistif yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak berkebutuhan khusus. Skenario kegiatan terdiri dari tiga langkah. Langkah pertama peserta dikenalkan dengan teknologi asistif dari beragam level. Tahap kedua peserta bekerja mandiri melakukan need assessment dan membuat rancangan tindak lanjut terkait penggunaan teknologi asistif di sekolah masing-masing. mengumpulkan materi. Disini peserta diberikan waktu untuk mengumpulkan materi yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan kegiatan pelatihan yang diikuti pada pertemuan pertama, sekaligus membuat rancangan teknologi asistif. Dan langkah ketiga menyampaikan simulasi hasil rancangan teknologi asistif bagi keterampilan activity of daily living (ADL). Melalui workshop ini, peserta mempunyai keterampilan untuk melakukan need assessment dan membuat rancangan tindak lanjut terkait teknologi asistif sesuai dengan karakteristik ABK. Berdsarkan hasil penilaian, 80% peserta sudah berhasil mempbuat rancangan kebutuhan Teknonologi ADL dengan baik.

Abstract

Based on what happened in the field, it is known that the content developed in the video still has a weakness, namely the content developed is still conceptual. However, it is also expected that students can understand contextually. Contextual learning can make students more active because students try to learn concepts as well as apply and relate them to the real world. Making students more active in the learning process can occur if students are involved in the learning process. So, the purpose of designing this animated video is so that students feel firsthand the problems that occur in the field and students have a contextual understanding. In addition, so that this video media can be developed later. The research was conducted with a descriptive research design. The design of an animated video media is followed by media validation, then the media can be used in blended learning in e-learning development courses. The design activities carried out include 3, namely; design of video content in e-learning development courses; design of case study-based teaching material content; and designing animated videos with case study-based teaching material content. The design of case study-based animated video media by developing appropriate learning content can increase student involvement in the learning process and improve contextual understanding. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the case study-based animation video media that has been designed is feasible to be used and developed in e-learning development courses

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengetahui kegiatan pengembang teknologi pembelajaran bagi guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SMA N 1 Padang. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalah yang ditemui bahwa guru SMA N 1 yang Padang memiliki kelemahan dalam bidang teknologi sejumlah guru belum mampu dan paham dalam menggunakan berbagai perangkat teknologi yang dapat menunjang kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian bertujuan guna mengetahui kegiatan pengembang teknologi pembelajaran bagi guru dalam peningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SMA N 1 Padang. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu penelitian mix method. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu berupa wawancara dan angket. Narasumber dan responden dalam penelitian ini yaitu wakil kepala sekolah sebagai guru penggerak, guru senior dan guru muda yang paham teknologi untuk tahap wawancara dan seluruh guru yang berjumlah 56 orang sebagai responden pengisian angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kualitatif dapat dilihat bahwa masih banyak guru yang menemukan tantangan baik dalam mengembangan dan menggunakan media pembelajaran maupun model pembelajaran dan masih banyak guru yang tidak mendapatkan pelatihan-pelatihan atau workshop terkhususnya mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran dan model pembelajaran di sekolah. Hanya satu guru yang memiliki jabatan sebagai guru penggerak, yang mana guru penggerak itu sendiri sangat dibutuhkan di sekolah sebagai fasilitator yang dapat memberikan pelatihan-pelatihan kepada guru lainnya baik dalam mengembangkan media atau model pembelajaran, dan lain sebagainya yang dapat menunjang kompetensi guru sehingga menghasilkan kualitas pembelajaran yang baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kuantitatif dilihat bahwa hasil rata-rata maupun persentase yang diperoleh pada setiap jawaban pernyataan yang diisi oleh guru sudah menunjukkan bahwa guru sudah sangat baik dalam menggunakan kegiatan analisis serta pengkajian model teknologi pembelajaran (90%), perancangan model teknologi pembelajaran (91,60%), produksi media pembelajaran (91,52%), implementasi (90,78%), pengendalian model pembelajaran (87,08%), serta evaluasi penerapan model pemanfaatan media pembelajaran (88,89%).

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perception of the use of the testportal website as a learning outcome evaluation tool. This type of research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling technique and the research sample was 56 students in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Padang. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a total of 40 questions distributed through a google form. The analysis technique used was percentage and chi squared with a significance level of 5% (=0.05). The results of the study show that first, students' perception of the use of the testportal website is good with a percentage of 76.5. Second, the testportal website as a learning outcome evaluation tool is good with a percentage of 80.33%. Third, there was a significant relationship between students' perception of the use of the testportal website and the testportal website as a tool for evaluating learning outcomes with the value of the table count of 40.12>>9488. It can be concluded that students' perception of the use of the testportal website as a tool for evaluating learning outcomes in class X informatics subjects is good

Abstract

Higher education today faces various challenges and opportunities influenced by the development of technology and information. In this context, the utilization of learning resources becomes an important aspect to enhance the quality of education and support the completion of students' assignments. Students are expected to be able to utilize various learning resources such as e-journals, textbooks, e-books, as well as artificial intelligence-based tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity to support the completion of their coursework. This research aims to analyze the utilization of learning resources by students in completing their coursework. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research to describe the actual situation based on data obtained from a predetermined sample. The sample in this study consisted of 105 students selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Based on the data analysis results, the average percentage of resource utilization is as follows: e-journal 81.79% (very good category), textbooks 74.57% (good category), e-books 79% (good category), ChatGPT 83.67% (very good category), and Perplexity 82.1% (very good category). These findings indicate that students predominantly use digital resources that are considered practical, relevant, and efficient in completing their coursework. Although textbooks are still used, their usage is the lowest compared to other digital sources. Overall, the utilization of learning resources by students of the Educational Technology Study Program at FIP UNP has been effective, but improving information literacy is essential so that students can be more discerning in choosing credible sources that meet their academic needs.
