Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is a condition caused by high cholesterol consumption. Tomatoes is well known has cholesterol-lowering effects. However, high consumption of tomato shall be concerned especially prooxidant potential that may damage the organ, especially in liver. This study aims to understand the effect of hypercholesterolemic and tomato administration to the rat’s liver, which is monitored using aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT) and histological condition. A total 24 of 12-weeks-old male-rats divided into 4 groups, equally. The K1 as normal group consist of placebo-treatment rats; K2 group as hypercholesterolemia group induced with high-cholesterol diet and 2 ml of cholesterol; K3 group was hypercholesterolemia rats treated with 20 mg of atorvastatin; and the last is K4 group was cholesterol rats supplemented with 16 mg/ day of tomato extract. All samples were treated for 60 days. The highest levels of AST and ALT level was 76.39 U/L and 45.40 U/L, respectively, was found in K2. Then, K4 is not significantly different from K3 and K1 and significantly different from K2. The scoring results showed that all groups experienced damage in the form of parenchymal degeneration, fat degeneration and necrosis. From this study it can be concluded that tomato extract gives a protection to the liver from cholesterol-oxidation damage effect. The updating information about how tomato inhibite liver fattening. The liver condition probably can be considered as biomarker-related hypercholesterolemia and developed a diagnostic marker to prevent increases metabolic disorder in community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate (1) the quality planning for improving academic services at STAI-JM Tanjung Pura, (2) the quality control measures implemented to enhance student academic services at STAI-JM Tanjung Pura, and (3) the strategies for quality improvement in student academic services at STAI-JM Tanjung Pura. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) The planning for academic service quality involves the university's strategic plan (RENSTRA), which outlines goals for academic services, including E-Journals, E-Letters, academic calendars, student guidelines, and student activities. (2) Quality control in academic services is achieved through strategic planning that facilitates the delivery of both academic and non-academic services to students. (3) STAI-JM Tanjung Pura enhances the quality of its academic services by strengthening collaborations with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and educational institutions both domestically and internationally. These partnerships aim to provide opportunities for students to expand their knowledge, such as through training programs and community service (KKN).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational climate, teacher professionalism, and achievement motivation on teacher performance in State Elementary Schools throughout Sawit Seberang District, Langkat Regency. Teachers are one of the elements in the field of education who participate actively and place their position as professionals to be able to improve the quality of education in Indonesia in order to get out of educational problems. However, in reality, the quality of education in Indonesia is still problematic. The influence of organizational climate can affect the professionalism of teachers so that they can have a significant influence on the condition of teacher performance. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with the data analysis technique used is inferential statistical techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded as follows: (1) The tendency level of organizational climate in SD Negeri Sawit Seberang District, Langkat Regency is still in the poor category. (2) The level of tendency of teacher professionalism in SD Negeri Sawit Seberang District, Langkat Regency is still in the fairly good category. (3) The tendency level of the achievement motivation of teachers in SD Negeri Sawit Seberang District, Langkat Regency is still in the category of lacking achievement motivation. (4) The level of trend of teacher performance in SD Negeri Sawit Seberang District, Langkat Regency is still in the poor category.

Abstract

This project aims to promote critical thinking abilities among eleventh-grade students in the Social Sciences curriculum at MAN 1 Medan during Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) studying, leveraging interactive teaching materials based on Canva that have been designed. This research uses Research and Development (R&D). The 4-D research design, which consists of four stages—define, design, develop, and disseminate—is used in this study's instructional material development. Thirty-three eleventh-grade Social Sciences students make up the research subjects. The interactive teaching materials based on Canva are highly valid based on the research and development findings. This is supported by the material validation score of 3.07, the subject matter expert assessment score of 3.23, and the language expert validation score of 3.30. The overall recapitulation score of 3.2 further confirms this conclusion. This suggests that the interactive educational resources created by Canva meet appropriate standards and can be utilized by educators and learners alike.

Abstract

The low literacy of society, especially students in Indonesia, is a concern for the government. Literacy in schools involves the duties and responsibilities of teachers, government, families and society. Cultivating literacy involves students, education, educational staff and parents in practicing literacy as a habit at school. Strategies for realizing a culture of student literacy include strengthening the capacity of facilitators, creating a quality reading culture, expanding access to learning resources, involving the community, and strengthening governance. Student literacy culture can be realized with several strategies that must be implemented, the literacy program carried out by An-Nizam private middle school creates reading corners in every corner of the class, makes routine activities for various subjects scheduled and held in all classes for regular study visits to the school library, as well as celebrating language month is like holding a competition involving literacy activities. also created a project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students which aims to improve students' literacy competencies. the growth of students' literacy culture in the physical and affective environments needs to be accompanied by the implementation of learning strategies that strengthen students' literacy skills. Literacy skills are of course strengthened according to the stages of student literacy development.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine the role of the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) in shaping the character of students at SMK PAB 8 Sampali. This research also aims to determine the challenges of OSIS in forming student character. The type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are OSIS administrators, students who are OSIS administrators and students who are not OSIS administrators who are determined using purposive techniques. Meanwhile, data collection techniques use interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is an inductive data analysis technique, with steps including data collection, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions.The results of this research show the role of OSIS in shaping the character of students at SMK PAB 8 Sampali. The role of the OSIS in shaping student character: (1) as a forum, namely a place for students to work together to achieve goals, (2) as a driving force, namely to help the school carry out certain activities and (3) as a means of preventing students from deviating by participating in OSIS activities.Keywords: Strategy, OSIS, Leadership Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) dalam membentuk karakter siswa SMK PAB 8 Sampali. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui hambatan OSIS dalam membentuk karakter siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif.Subjek penelitian ini adalah pembina OSIS, siswa pengurus OSIS dan siswa bukan pengurus OSIS yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data induktif, dengan langkah-langkah meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peranan OSISdalam membentuk karakter siswa SMK PAB 8 Sampali. Peranan OSIS dalam membentuk karakter siswa: (1) sebagai wadah yaitu tempat bagi siswa saling bekerja sama untuk mencapai tujuan, (2) sebagai penggerak yaitu untuk membantu sekolah menjalankan kegiatan tertentu dan (3) sebagai sarana menghindarkan siswa untuk berbuat menyimpang dengan mengikuti kegiatan OSIS.Kata Kunci: Strategy, OSIS, Kepemimpinan

Abstract

Abstract: The curriculum plays a vital role in educational institutions as it determines the direction, content, and processes of learning, ultimately influencing the type and quality of graduates. Within the education system, the curriculum serves as the main framework guiding the achievement of national education goals. This paper aims to understand the concept of Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) for students. The curriculum holds a crucial role in shaping the educational journey by defining its direction, content, and processes, which in turn impacts the type and quality of graduates produced. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach. The findings reveal that the Merdeka Belajar concept restores the role of educational literacy to its intended purpose as a strategic moment in achieving national education objectives. Through Merdeka Belajar, students’ literacy in religious spirituality, self-control, personality, intelligence, moral character, and skills can be enhanced, ultimately contributing to the recovery and improvement of education quality in Indonesia. In other words, Merdeka Belajar provides space for students to grow holistically, in alignment with their individual potential and interests. The implementation of Merdeka Belajar is seen as an important effort to support the recovery and enhancement of educational quality in Indonesia, especially in addressing global challenges and local needs. This approach is expected to produce graduates who are not only intellectually capable but also strong in character and equipped with relevant life skills. Therefore, Merdeka Belajar is believed to be a solid foundation for realizing more inclusive and meaningful education. Keywords: Independent Learning Curriculum, Islamic Education Management Abstrak: Kurikulum memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam lembaga pendidikan karena menentukan arah, isi, dan proses pembelajaran yang pada akhirnya memengaruhi jenis dan mutu lulusan. Dalam sistem pendidikan, kurikulum menjadi kerangka utama yang mengarahkan pencapaian tujuan pendidikan nasional. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk memahami kurikulum merdeka dalam belajar bagi peserta didik. Kurikulum memegang peranan penting dalam lembaga pendidikan karena menentukan arah, isi dan proses pendidikan yang pada akhirnya berpengaruh terhadap jenis dan mutu lulusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep Merdeka Belajar mengembalikan peran literasi pendidikan sesuai dengan tujuannya sebagai momen strategis dalam mencapai tujuan Pendidikan Nasional. Dengan Merdeka Belajar, literasi peserta didik dalam spiritualitas keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia dan keterampilan dapat ditingkatkan yang pada akhirnya akan mendukung pemulihan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia. Dengan kata lain, Merdeka Belajar memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk berkembang secara holistik, sesuai dengan potensi dan minat mereka masing-masing. Implementasi Merdeka Belajar juga dipandang sebagai upaya penting dalam mendukung pemulihan dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan global dan kebutuhan lokal. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu membentuk lulusan yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga berkarakter kuat dan memiliki keterampilan hidup yang relevan. Dengan demikian, Merdeka Belajar diyakini dapat menjadi fondasi yang kokoh untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan bermakna. Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to gain an understanding of the theme of this research, namely the principal's strategy in implementing religious culture at Sinar Husni Helvetia Private Middle School, which consists of the principal's steps in his strategy, implementation of religious culture (customs), and inhibiting and supporting factors in advancing The principal's strategy in implementing religious culture at Sinar Husni Helvetia Middle School. Meanwhile, the research method used is a qualitative method which is descriptive and predominantly uses analysis. This research comes from several clear informants, the first is an informant from the school principal, the second is an informant from the deputy principal, the third is a religious teacher informant, and the fourth is an informant from students. The data collection methods used for this research were observation, interviews and documentation. The stages of the data collection or data reduction process, drawing conclusions and presenting data are the Miles & Huberman data analysis model. The results of this research show that; Firstly, the strategies used or used by the principal to implement religious culture at Sinar Husni Helvetia Private Middle School are cultural strategies (habituation), role model strategies (exemplary), and finally cooperation strategies (partnership). Second, the implementation of culture or religious habits in schools through the example method and habituation to good things that are often done by schools, namely habits or culture such as; in everyday application but which is often ignored by today's young people, namely the 3S of smiling, saying hello, saying hello. The next habit is to carry out the noon prayer every day in congregation and have a separate punishment for not carrying it out, as well as celebrating Islamic holidays, listening to religious sermons every week with different ustadz, reading prayers and reciting verses from the holy Koran. in the form of short surahs or surahs that students have memorized before starting class lessons. Third, the inhibiting and supporting factors for the implementation of this religious culture include; The supporting factors are the discipline of teachers and students, good infrastructure so that they can support the implementation of teaching and learning activities and preserve religious cultural habits, the unity of the school community and strong commitment, while the inhibiting factor is the reduced awareness of students or learners.Keywords: Implementation, Religious Culture, Strategy. Abstrak: Diadakannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemahaman tentang tema penelitian ini yaitu strategi kepala sekolah dalam penerpana budaya religius di SMP Swasta Sinar Husni Helvetia, yang terdiri dari langkah-langkah kepala sekolah dalam strateginya, pelaksanaan budaya (kebiasaan) religius, dan faktor penghambat dan pendukungnya dalam memajukan strategi kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan budaya religius di SMP Sinar Husni Helvetia. Sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan ini adalah menggunakan metode kualitatif yang sifatnya deskriptif serta dominan menggunakan analisis. Penelitian ini bersumber dari beberapa informan yang sudah jelas, yang pertama informan dari kepala sekolah, kedua informan wakil kepala sekolah, ketiga informan guru agama, dan keempat informan dari peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data untuk penelitian ini yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Tahapan proses pengumpulan data atau reduksi data, mengambil kesimpulan serta penyajian data adalah model analisis data Miles & Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; pertama, strategi yang dipakai atau digunakan oleh kepala sekolah untuk menerapkan budaya religius di SMP Swasta Sinar Husni Helvetia ini adalah strategi kebudayaan (pembiasaan), strategi panutan (keteladanan), dan terakhir strategi jalinan kerja sama (kemitraan). Kedua, pelaksanaan budaya atau kebiasaan religius di sekolah melalui metode tauladan serta pembiasaan hal baik yang sering dilakukan oleh sekolah yaitu pembiasaan atau kebudayaan seperti; dalam penerapan yang dilakukan sehari-hari tapi sering diabaikan oleh anak muda zaman sekarang yaitu 3S senyum, sapa, salam. Pembiasaan selanjutnya yaitu melaksanakan salat zuhur setiap harinnya secara berjamaah dan memiliki hukuman tersendiri jika tidak melaksanakannya, serta melangsungkan perayaan hari-hari besar islam, mendengarkan tausiah agama disetiap minggunya dengan ustadz yang berbeda-beda, membaca doa dan melafazkan ayat suci Al-Qur’an berupa suirah-surah pendek atau surah yang sudah dihafal para peserta didik sebelum memulai pelajaran dikelas. Ketiga, untuk faktor penghambat dan pendukung agar terlaksananya budaya religius ini antara lain; faktor pendukungnya yaitu kedisplinan guru dan siswa, sarana prasarananya yang baik sehingga dapat mendukung terlaksananya kegiatan belajar mengajar serta melestarikan kebiasaan budaya religius, terjalinnya kebersamaan masyarakat sekolah serta komitmen yang kuat, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah kurangnya kesadaran siswa atau peserta didik.Kata kunci: Penerapan, Budaya Religius, Strategi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi sistem informasi manajemen di MTs. Ex PGA proyek UNIVA Medan, bagaimana tahap pengelolaan sistem informasi manajemen (EMIS) di MTs. Ex PGA proyek UNIVA Medan, dan faktor pendukung dan kendala penggunaan sistem informasi manajemen (EMIS) di MTs. Ex PGA proyek UNIVA Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) MTs. Ex PGA proyek UNIVA Medan selalu berupaya untuk mengedepankan sistem informasi dan teknologi baik dalam pelayanan administrasi maupun proses pembelajaran, (2) tahap pengelolaan SIM yang di terapkan di MTs. Ex PGA proyek UNIVA Medan adalah proses pengumpulan data, pemrosesan, dan informasi atau output. (3) faktor yang menjadi pendukung penggunaan SIM yang berupa (EMIS) membantu pelayanan administrasi terutama dalam hal pengumpulan, pencatatan dan pengambilan data siswa tersusun rapi, akurat dan relevan. Dan kendala dalam penggunaan SIM berupa (EMIS) hanya bisa di akses di waktu tertentu saja dan terkendala di jaringan. sistem informasi manajemen menajdi salah satu faktor pendukung pelayanan admistrasi, dengan adanya sistem informasi manajemen membantu pelayanan administrasi dalam hal pengumpulan data, pencatatan dan pengambilan atau akses data siswa semuanya menjadi lebih tepat, akurat dan relevan, data yang ada menjadi lebih rapi dan tersusun sehingga ketika pengambilan atau pencarian data menjadi lebih mudah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh signifikan antara budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Air Putih, Kabupaten Batu Bara, serta untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh signifikan antara insentif terhadap kinerja guru di wilayah tersebut. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh signifikan budaya organisasi dan insentif secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Air Putih, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksplanatori (explanatory research). Menurut Sugiyono (2015), penelitian eksplanatori adalah penelitian yang menjelaskan hubungan kausal antara variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi hipotesis. Dalam penelitian ini, variabel yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga variabel, yaitu Budaya Organisasi (X1) dan Insentif (X2) sebagai variabel bebas, serta Kinerja (Y) sebagai variabel terikat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa budaya organisasi dan insentif memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Air Putih, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Semakin baik budaya organisasi dan pelaksanaan insentif maka semakin tinggi kinerja guru. Pengaruh ini terbukti baik secara individu maupun bersama-sama, hal ini juga menunjukkan pentingnya peningkatan budaya organisasi dan insentif untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di wilayah tersebut
