Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of a reciprocal teaching style in volleyball courses. Reciprocal teaching style is a teaching style by forming groups with one member of the group having an advantage in the material to be given. The type of research that will be carried out is classroom action research. So the results of this research cannot be generalized. The subjects of this research were 3rd semester students, totaling 43 students. The data collection technique uses an observation sheet. The results of this research show that a reciprocal teaching style makes a positive contribution to the student learning process in volleyball courses. These results were obtained after observers and colleagues observed and discussed the results of observations that occurred during the action. From the results of observations before the action was given, there were 37.87% who responded well to the lecture, and after the action was given there was an increase, namely; 63.12% of students are active in lectures. It can be concluded that the reciprocal teaching style contributes to improving the volleyball teaching process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether using the TGFU learning method in playing volleyball can improve volleyball playing skills class X MIPA 3 students. In this study researchers used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The subjects in this study were 36 students of class X MIPA 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Seluma. This research was conducted with pre cycle and in 2 cycles, where each cycle had 4 stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. As for the results of the pre cycle percentage assessment was (46%), the results of observations of the teaching and learning process using the TGFU method in volleyball learning in the acquisition of the first cycle assessment percentage was (66%). Whereas in cycle II the percentage assessment was (85%), of students who had fulfilled the KKM value of 70. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that using the TGFU method in volleyball learning can improve volleyball learning skills.

Abstract

This study seeks to assess how the bouncing ball training approach affects the bottom passing skills of students engaged in volleyball extracurricular activities at junior high school state 1 Pasemah Air Keruh. The research design follows a one-group pretest-posttest format, which does not involve a comparison group. The participants of this study comprised all students who actively chose to engage in this research until its conclusion, with a total of 16 children involved in volleyball extracurricular activities. The tools for this study consisted of tests and assessments based on the Brady method. The findings indicated that the bouncing ball training method positively influenced down-passing skills. When testing the hypothesis, the computed t value was 12.5, which exceeds the t table value of 1.746. This result leads to the rejection of the null hypothesis and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis, signifying a notable advancement in bottom passing ability as a result of the bouncing ball training method.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to determine the effect of Interval Training on VO₂Max ability in pencak silat athletes fostered by Al-Azhar Martial Arts Bengkulu Branch. Improving VO₂Max is essential for achieving optimal performance, especially in endurance-demanding martial arts such as pencak silat. Methods: This research employed a pre-experimental design with one group pretest–posttest. The population consisted of pencak silat athletes fostered by the Al-Azhar Martial Arts Bengkulu Branch, and 26 pre-teen athletes were selected as the sample. Data were collected using the Multistage Fitness Test. Statistical analysis included normality test, homogeneity test, and paired t-test. Result: The findings revealed that the calculated t-value (11.38) was greater than the t-table value (1.708) at a significance level of α = 0.05, indicating a significant effect. After 16 training sessions, the VO₂Max of athletes increased by 22.58%. Conclusion: Interval Training significantly improves VO₂Max ability in pencak silat athletes fostered by Al-Azhar Martial Arts Bengkulu Branch. Therefore, interval training can be considered an effective program to enhance aerobic endurance and support athletic performance in pencak silat.
