Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran keterampilan komunikasi lisan calon guru dalam perkuliahan berbasis Screencast O Matic. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan biologi Universitas Timor yang memprogram mata kuliah keterampilan dasar mengajar sebanyak 25 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan rubrik keterampilan komunikasi lisan yang dikembangkan oleh Pramudiyanti (2019).  Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan komunikasi lisan calon guru selama pelaksanaan perkuliahan berbasis Screencast O Matic berada pada kategori proficient (cakap). Hal tersebut dikarenakan adanya potensi perkuliahan berbasis Screencast O Matic dalam memaksimalkan keterlibatan aktif calon guru selama perkuliahan. Namun di antara empat indikator keterampilan komunikasi lisan, indikator kejelasan suara, kejelasan materi dan respon terhadap audiens berada pada kategori proficient (cakap) sedangkan kategori ketenangan masih berada pada kategori basic (dasar). Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah perkuliahan berbasis Screencast O Matic dapat dipadukan dengan strategi lain yang mendukung optimalisasi keterampilan komunikasi lisan calon guru.

Abstract

Guru adalah pendidik profesional dengan tugas utama mendidik, mengajar, membimbing, mengarahkan, melatih, menilai, dan mengevaluasi peserta didik pada pendidikan anak usia dini jalur pendidikan formal, pendidikan dasar, dan pendidikan menengah. Dalam melaksanakan tugas keprofesionalan, guru berkewajiban merencanakan pembelajaran, melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang bermutu, serta menilai dan mengevaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Tugas pokok guru dan tanggung jawab guru yang demikian berat dan menentukan dalam mencapai tujuan pembangunan bangsa dan negaranya. Oleh karena itu maka layaklah jika guru mendapatkan imbalan yang layak bagi kemanusiaan dan layak memenuhi kebutuhan hidup dan keluarganya. Namun usaha untuk memperbaiki kesejahteraan guru memang sudah dilakukan seperti kenaikan pangkat yang bisa dilakukan cukup 2 tahun tidak harus menunggu 4 tahun, juga tak terbatas hanya sampai Golongan IV a/Pembina saja, namun bisa sampai golongan IV e/Guru Utama asal dipenuhi syarat-syarat yang ditentukan. Pada umumnya guru masih banyak yang kesulitan naik pangkat dan golongan IV a/Pembina ke IV b/Pembina Tingkat I keatas yang kendalanya adalah pembuatan karya tulis ilmiah yang disyaratkan harus dipenuhi angka kredit minimal 12 dari unsur pengembangan profesi yang antara lain meliputi melakukan kegiatan karya tulis/karya ilmiah dalam bidang pendidikan. Berkaitan dengan masalah di atas, pengenalan dan pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah merupakan solusi yang diharapkan dapat membantu guru-guru menulis karya ilmiah. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pemberian informasi dan pengetahuan bagaimana seorang guru mampu menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah, mensitasi sumber bacaan, dan cara untuk mempublikasikan karya tulis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat Desa Saenam terhadap keberadaan anggrek spesies (alam) Penelitian persepsi masyarakat Desa Saenam terhadap Anggrek spesies (alam) dilakukan dengan rancangan penelitian Purposive Sampling melalui kegiatan survei lapangan. Survei lapangan ini dilakukan melalui dua tahap, yaitu penentuan responden dan kegiatan wawancara masyarakat lokal Desa Senam, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara berdasarkan kuisioner. Analisa data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh data presentasi dari setiap jawaban yang dominan diberikan oleh responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat Desa Saenam mengetahui keberadaan serta mengetahui pengetahuan umum tentang anggrek spesies (alam). Hal tersebut menandakan bahwa masyarakat ternyata memberikan persepsi yang positif terhadap kelestarian anggrek spesies (alam) Upaya-upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk dapat membuat persepsi masyarakat Desa Saenam lebih peduli dan aktif terhadap kegiatan konservasi tanaman hias langka. Dengan demikan hal ini diharapkan akan membawa dampak yang positif pula bagi konservasi sumber daya alam hayati di Indonesia khususnya di Pulau Timor, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the learning outcomes of teacher candidates in project-based learning. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 26 students of the Biology Education study program at Timor University who were taking the Botany of Higher Plants course. Data was collected using a learning outcome test. The results showed that the learning outcomes of teacher candidates in project-based learning were in a good category with a score of 68.17. This shows that the application of project-based learning has a positive impact on empowering teacher candidates' learning outcomes. Learning becomes not boring and not just memorization because teacher candidates are given the opportunity and responsibility to learn actively from the projects that are carried out. Teacher candidates have a significant role in all stages of project-based learning from project planning, data collection, data organization, data processing, and presentation in project reports. Therefore, it is expected that project-based learning can be done consistently so that it can empower the learning outcomes of teacher candidates.

Abstract

Students' understanding of the parts of the plant body is fundamental to know as an initial step to search for plant species in nature. However, the problem faced is the lack of students' understanding of the morphological structure of plants, especially plants with high grades. Where high-class plants have a characteristic structure that is more complete and complex when compared to plants with a lower class. The method used in this research is a nature exploration method located in the Oeluan Tourism Forest, North Central Timor District, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Based on the research results, it was found that with the field practicum, students' understanding of the structure of higher plants has increased. This is shown by the assessment of the presentation posters made by each group and presented creatively which were uploaded to the YouTube application

Abstract

By knowing the dangers of the impact of Covid 19 for humans, especially for people with a history of asthma, heart disease, diabetes, liver including for the elderly and school-age children, it is necessary to conduct socialization for school-age children about the Covid 19 health protocol. This service activity was preceded by by conducting preliminary observations on population data, especially the number of school-age children in the Eonbesi Village area, North Mollo District. The next step is for the service team to prepare the tools and materials needed to carry out socialization activities for the Covid-19 health protocol, including water and hand sanitizers which are used to socialize school-age children in Eonbesi Village about how to wash hands properly and correctly. Next is to give masks to school-age children and teach them how to use masks properly and correctly. The results of this community service show that early childhood in Eonbesi Village understand and understand how the health protocol against Covid 19. The conclusion of the implementation of this community service activity is that the community, especially parents, really welcome this activity considering that Covid 19 is still in the world and with socialization This health protocol helps children become more aware of the dangers of Covid 19 that still lurks.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan untuk menemukan kebenaran dan memilah informasi dengan tepat yang dapat digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan untuk mengetahui upaya yang telah dilakukan guru dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMAN Noemuti. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dan pedoman wawancara. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 57 orang siswa kelas X dan 2 orang guru mata pelajaran Biologi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X berada pada kategori rendah dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 53,58 dan guru-guru telah berupaya mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa.

Abstract

Indonesia as a mega biodiversity country has a variety of fauna and flora. One of the floras that is often found in Indonesia is orchids. Orchids have high economic value and are able to balance the ecosystem in their habitat. This study was aimed at determining the diversity of orchid species in the Oeluan tourism forest. The current study employed a quantitative descriptive study by using the transect and the purposive sampling method. The research was conducted in February at the Oeluan Tourism Forest. The results of this study indicated that there were four terrestrial orchid genera and three epiphytic orchid genera. The analysis of the diversity index of orchid species in the Oeluan tourism forest resulted in the diversity index of (H’) 1.0438 in the medium category. The measured environmental factors at the study site were an average soil pH of 7, an average humidity of 76.33% and an average air temperature of 27.400C. The diversity of orchid species in the Oeluan tourism forest, bijeli village, Noemuti district, North Central Timor regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, was included in the medium category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the learning independence of students in different specialization classes. This study employed a quantitative, comparative approach. The subjects of the study were class X SMA.  There are 21 students in class X MIPA and 36 students in class X IPS in SMA Nurul Fallah Kefamenanu. A questionnaire about learning independence was used to collect data. The results indicated that students in different specializated classes differed in their independence in learning. The learning independence of MIPA specialized students is 19.99% greater than that of IPS specialization students. This may be due to the inappropriate grouping of specialization classes and the existence of a negative stigma towards students enrolled in IPS specialization classes. This stigma has the potential to have a negative impact on self-confidence, learning motivation, learning creativity and student learning discipline. Therefore efforts that need to be made are to improve the system for determining specialization classes and to provide equal opportunities and support for each student to develop themselves according to their interests, talents and potential

Abstract

Abstrak: Literasi digital merupakan kemampuan guru masa kini yang perlu diberdayakan melalui kegiatan pelatihan yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan literasi digital guru melalui penggunaan Augmented Reality. Harapannya adalah tetjadi peningkatan literasi digital guru setelah kegiatan pelatihan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMPN Fatumfaun dengan melibatkan 14 orang guru. Kegiatan dilakukan menjadi tiga tahapan utama yaitu tahapan persiapan, tahapan pelatihan dan pembimbingan serta tahapan evaluasi. Untuk mengetahui data literasi digital guru sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan kegiatan maka digunakan angket literasi digital yang berisi 10 pernyataan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan literasi digital guru. Sebelum mengikuti kegiatan ini, nilai rata-rata literasi digital guru SMPN Fatumfaun adalah 63,14 yang berada pada kategori cukup baik. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, nilai rata-rata literasi digital guru SMPN Fatumfaun adalah 76,43 yang berada pada kategori baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi digital guru sebesar 21,05 %.Abstract: Digital literacy is a skill of today's teachers that needs to be harnessed through continuous professional development. This activity aims to strengthen the digital literacy of teachers through the use of Augmented Reality. It is expected that the digital literacy of the teachers will increase after the training activities. This activity has been implemented in Fatumfaun Junior High School with the participation of 14 teachers. The activities are carried out in three main stages, namely the preparation stage, the training and mentoring stage and the evaluation stage. A digital literacy questionnaire with 10 statements was used to collect data on teachers' digital literacy before and after the implementation of the activity. Based on the evaluation results, it is known that there is an increase in teachers' digital literacy. Before participating in this activity, the average digital literacy score of Fatumfaun Junior High School teachers was 63.14, which was in the good enough category. After participating in this activity, the average digital literacy score of Fatumfaun Junior High School teachers was 76.43, which was in the good category. This shows an increase of 21.05% in the digital literacy of the teachers.
