Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is one of the public health challenges that is gaining serious attention worldwide. Physical activity and acceptance levels are important components in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) because they play a direct role in controlling blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The study was conducted at a community health center in Bandar Lampung in November 2024. The population consisted of all patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The sample size was 130 people. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with purposive sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed a relationship between physical activity (p value: 0.004) and acceptance level (p value: 0.044) with glycemic control. It is recommended that people with diabetes increase the frequency of physical activity as a step in controlling glycemic levels. Keywords: Physical Activity, Diabetes Mellitus, Acceptance Level

The method of this study was a quantitative research method with the type of analytical study research and cross sectional research design The population in this study was all 7th and 8th grade students at SMPN 2 Samarinda which amounted to 689 people with a sample of 97 respondents where the sampling method used was probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents and conducting eye vision examinations on respondents. The data analysis technique used univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Chi-square Test. Hypothesis test results with the Chi-Square Test obtained a value of 0,038 (pValue = 0,05) so that there was a relationship between the duration of gadget use and the quality of visual acuity in early adolescent children at SMP (Junior High School) 2 Samarinda. It is hope that every school will hold regular eye examinations. Keywords: Duratio, Gadget, Visual acuity

Abstract

Central obesity or abdominal obesity is a condition characterized by excessive fat accumulation localized in the abdominal area, particularly in the intra-abdominal fat tissue. Based on the results of a preliminary study on the incidence of central obesity among students in several high schools in Semarang, a total of 10 respondents were obtained. The measurement results showed that most of the students studied had central obesity. In detail, 9 students or about 90% of the total respondents in grade X were classified as having central obesity based on waist circumference indicators. The purpose of this study was to analyze the causes of central obesity in adolescents. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The research was conducted in several high schools in Semarang City. The research was conducted in July 2025. The research population consisted of all tenth-grade students in several high schools in Semarang City. The sample consisted of 55 tenth-grade students. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed a relationship between excess nutrition (p value: 0.000) and body fat percentage (p value: 0.000) with the incidence of central obesity in adolescents. Respondents were advised to pay more attention to consumption recommendations in accordance with health standards. It is important for adolescents to limit their sugar consumption, given the risk of obesity and diabetes that can arise from a young age. Salt consumption should also be reduced to maintain heart health and prevent high blood pressure in the future. Keywords: Overweight, Adolescents, Obesity
