Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility and process of developing a scientific-based social studies learning module using the IOC (Inside Outside Circle) method for grade 5 SD / MI. The method used in this research is Sugiyono's Research and Development (R&D) method. Sugiyono's Research and Development (R & D) method has 10 stages but in this research it is only limited to the expert / expert validation stage this is due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has made the face-to-face learning process in schools shifted to online learning this raises several problems in the process research so that it does not allow researchers to test products to students. Data collection was carried out through the learning module validation process. The learning module is validated by 3 experts / experts, namely: linguists, design experts and material experts. The results of the validation trial show that the science-based social studies learning module with the IOC (Inside Outside Circle) method is valid. It is said to be valid because the science-based social studies learning module with the IOC (Inside Outside Circle) method developed has met the validity criteria with the "Valid" category with a percentage of language experts as design experts 80.2% and material experts 79% of the total percentage value of 100%.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is currently promoting literacy education. One of the highlights is mathematical literacy. Mathematical literacy ability in Indonesia is still relatively low. This is evidenced by the results of the 2018 Program for International Assessment (PISA) survey, in the field of mathematics, Indonesia is ranked 72 out of 78 countries with a score of 379. The objectives of the research are: to improve students' mathematical literacy skills in the Basic Concepts of geometry and measurement lectures in PGSD FKIP Study Program, Bengkulu University by applying a realistic mathematics education (RME) model. This research uses action research method (Action Research). Data collection techniques aspects of the management of the learning process will collect data in the form of information through observation, and tests of mathematical literacy skills then summarized and described in the form of a data matrix. Data were analyzed through qualitative descriptive. The results of the study have been carried out in lectures by applying the RME model in the Basic Concepts of Geometry and Measurement course. Students' mathematical literacy test results also increased. The highest increase in the aspect of context literacy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of creativity of a teacher in utilizing existing media, especially based on science and technology, so that students have difficulty understanding the kaganga script in elementary schools. One example of an area that developed the Kaganga script and became part of learning in schools is the Rejang Tribe in North Bengkulu. The Kaganga script as local wisdom in Bengkulu, especially in North Bengkulu, is expected to be able to preserve local languages ​​in teaching and civilizing local languages ​​well so as to prevent extinction in the present and in the future. Most of the learning media used are still conventional, namely textbook-based and have not used science and technology-based media. Currently, Indonesia is having a difficult time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so learning in schools uses online learning. Therefore, the implementation of kinemaster media is an alternative solution in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of kinemaster media based on science and technology in learning the Kaganga script in elementary schools as local wisdom of North Bengkulu. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with several stages, namely identifying significant problems, formulating problems clearly, determining the objectives and benefits of research, conducting literature studies related to the problem, determining the framework of thinking, research questions, and research hypotheses, designing research methods, determine population, sample, sampling technique, determine data collection instrument, and data analysis, make research report.

Abstract

The Study aimed to improve students’ activities and learning achievement in class V SDN 17 Bengkulu City by applying Numbered Head Together (NHT) model assisted by PowerPoint. This study was an action research and was conducted in 2 cycles which each cycle consisted of for stages including: (1) Planning; (2) Action; (3) Observation; (4) Reflection. The subjects were a teacher and 23 students consisted of 10 male students and 13 female. The instruments were observation sheets and test sheets. The analysis for NHT model assisted by PowerPoint  and learning activities observation data were analyzed by applying mean score formula, highest score, lowest score, score differentiation, and approximate score for each criteria. Students’ learning achievement in knowledge aspect was analyzed using mean score formula and the classical learning percentage. Result of NHT model assisted by PowerPoint application on cycle I had gotten adequate category improved getting very good category on cycle II. Result of learning activities on cycle I had categorized as adequate improved to good on cycle II. The student’s learning achievement for Bahasa Indonesia subject on cycle I had gotten the classical learning mastery by 52,1%. Improved on cycle II with the classical learning mastery by 86.9%. For Science subject, the classical learning mastery had been 47.1% on cycle I  improved on cycle II with the classical learning mastery by 78,2%. Thus, applying Numbered Head Together model assisted by PowerPoint improved the students’ activities and learning achievement in the Class V SDN 17 Bengkulu City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pola penelitian tunggal. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan dengan mengikuti langsung pembelajaran menggunakan media video pembelajaran di kelas rendah. Teknis analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa problematika yang dialami guru dalam penerapan video pembelajaran yaitu 1) sulit nya pembagian waktu untuk membuat video pembelajaran, 2) pemilihan bahasa pada video pembelajaran, 3) penguasaan keterampilan dalam membuat video pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini peneliti juga memberikan solusi dari permasalahan  yang  muncul  dalam  penerapan  video  pembelajaran  di  kelas rendah, yaitu 1) pembagian waktu guru dapat dilakukan dengan menjadwalkan pembuatan video untuk pelajaran yang membutuhkan media video pembelajaran saja, 2) pemilihan bahasa pada video dapat dilakukan analisis video dengan menonton video yang ingin disampaikan (apabila menggunakan akses internet), dan analisis pemilihan kata yang mudah dipahami (apabila video pembelajaran dibuat sendiri oleh guru),  3) penguasaan keterampilan mengedit video selain pelatihan yang diadakan oleh sekolah hendaknya guru juga banyak mengakses cara mengedit video melalui akses-akses internet.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat tidak hanya semata-mata memenuhi kebutuhan dasar masyarakat tetapi lebih sebagai upaya mencari alternative pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Dalam rangka meningkatkan percepatan pembangunan di wilayah Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara pada umumnya dan khususnya di Desa Padang Bendar Kecamatan Hulu Palik pada khususnya, Universitas Bengkulu dalam hal ini Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) melakukan salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk dapat ikut berpartisipasi dalam membangun desa atau UKM. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan SDM melalui workshop ekonomi kreatif berbasis promosi online olahan singkong. Ekonomi kreatif merupakan proses peningkatan nilai tambah hasil produk yang dijual yaitu pengolahan keripik singkong yang awalnya hanya menggunakan pisau untuk mengiris sekarang sudah menggunakan alat pengiris serbaguna yang lebih efektif dan sudah gunakan mesin press dan stiker brand keripik, kemasan lebih menarik dan memiliki aneka varian rasa. Produksi dan penghasilan UKM juga semakin meningkat karena promosi online melalui Fb, IG, dan WA membuat jangkauan pembeli makin luas.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM ini berjudul “Pendampingan Pembuatan Karya Seni Rupa Gambar Dekoratif Teknik Cap Bagi Siswa Kelas I di SDN 01 Kota Bengkulu”. Sekolah Mitra pada kegiatan PKM yang diusulkan ini adalah SDN 01 Kota Bengkulu. Sekolah ini berlokasi di jalan  Prof. Dr. Hazairin , SH, kelurahan malebero kecamatan teluk segara Kota Bengkulu. Sekolah dengan akreditasi A ini  mulai berdiri pada tahun 1938. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru dan siswa kelas IC SDN 01 Kota Bengkulu dalam membuat gambar dekoratif dengan teknik cap menggunakan pelepah pisang. Hasil kegiatan ini telah terlaksana kegiatan Pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk guru dan siswa kelas I SDN 01  Kota Bengkulu pada tanggal 12-17 Juni 2023. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini guru dan siswa memiliki keterampilan dalam menggambar dekoratif menggunakan teknik Cap. Siswa tampak antusias dalam membuat karya seni rupa dengan teknik cap ini. Gambar yang dihasilkan bertema hewan dan tumbuhan. Kreativitas gambar yang dihasilkan sudah memenuhi unsur-unsur seni rupa walaupun masih sederhana.

Abstract

SDIT Insan Mulia is one of the Islamic-based private elementary schools in Bengkulu City. This elementary school is located on Jalan Halmahera, Surabaya Village, Bengkulu City. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers regarding the inquiry learning model using teaching aids that can help students understand mathematics learning material more easily. The method used in this PKM activity is training and mentoring. The training was conducted to increase the knowledge and insight of teachers about the nature of learning mathematics in elementary schools, the characteristics of mathematical concepts, cognitive development of elementary school children, teaching aids for mathematics subjects and inquiry learning models in mathematics learning. The training will produce lesson plans with an inquiry model using mathematical teaching aids. Furthermore, the target teacher is asked to carry out the learning or lesson plans he made. The Lecturer Team will provide continuous assistance to direct, guide, and assist the target teacher when preparing lesson plans, making teaching aids and carrying out learning up to evaluating. To evaluate the activities, interview and observation techniques were used. This activity has been carried out up to training and mentoring for teachers in making and implementing learning tools for class IV SDIT Insan Mulia.
