Abstract

Brown sugar is one of the palm derivative products that have high economic value and has very good prospects for development. Commerce is a trading activity that combines the flow of goods and services from the level of production to consumption. This study aims to determine the share margin received by each channel of the brown sugar commerce at Kulon Progo Regency. This research, which was conducted in May-July 2020, used a descriptive method. The method of determining the research location used the purposive sampling method. Determination of the number of informants is determined by the snowball method with a total of 60 informants. Methods of data analysis using cost analysis tools and marketing margins. The results showed that the marketing margin obtained at the farm level was Rp1.706/kg while the collectors were Rp4.375/kg. Product variations being developed are printed coconut sugar, wet neutral brown sugar, dry neutral brown sugar, and flavor variants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of oyster mushroom cultivation with the innovation of crispy mushroom processed products. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data analysis in this study used descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection in this study used interview techniques with 16 fresh oyster mushroom business actors in Kemiri Village, Mojosongo District, Boyolali Regency during the production period from November 2020 to February 2021, both of which were sold in the form of fresh mushrooms and in the form of processed crispy mushroom products. Determination of the location and informants in this study using a purposive method. The results of this study indicate that the oyster mushroom cultivation business, whether sold in the form of fresh mushrooms or in the form of processed products of crispy mushrooms, has the potential to be quite profitable, because the business has more than one efficiency value. Furthermore, the innovation of processing fresh mushroom products into crispy mushrooms has the potential to increase income for oyster mushroom business actors, because the analysis of this study shows a fairly good level of efficiency. However, increasing the quality of crispy mushroom processed products needs attention so that these products can be sold at higher prices, so that the benefits derived from product processing innovations are also more attractive.

Abstract

The high availability of slurry from palm oil mill effluent, solid, and boiler ash with their nutrient contents make those three materials are potential to be processed become organic fertilizer in the form of pellet so it tends to has slow release characteristic. This research aims to analyize characteristic of organic fertilizer pellet from slurry of palm oil mill effluent as slow release fertilizer by analyzing its physical characteristics, NPK content, and NPK releasing rate in soil.Slurry was processed become solid fertilizer in the form of pellet using pellet mill with tapioca adhesive 5%. Pellet was made from slurry, solid, and boiler ash which were mixed with ratio 1:1:1, 1:2:2, 2:1:1, 2:2:1, 2:1:2, 1:0:0 (only slurry). This research ware analysis of physical characteristis (length, diameter, and density) and analysis of NPK content. N content was analyzed using Kjeldahl method, P content using spectrophotometer, and K content using Atomic Absorbtion Spectrophotometer (AAS). Then it was continued with analysis of NPK releasing content in latosol soil.The average length of pellets was 31–48 mm, diameter was 5,42 – 6,28 mm, water content was 0,426 – 0,976%, particle density was 1,04 – 1,34 g/cm3, and bulk density 0,49–0,63 g/cm3. Organic fertilizer pellet in six formulas contained N+P2O5+K2O about 5,93–8,08%. The highest content (8,08%) was produced from 1:0:0 pellet, followed by 2:1:2 formula (7,53%), and 1:2:2 formula (7,25%). Until the 10th days, the releasing of N element was about 1,99 – 3,18%, P element was 0,063– 0,075%, and K element was 43,54 – 62,26%.

Abstract

Wanita mempunyai banyak peran dalam rumah tangga, sosial, dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui curahaan waktu tenaga kerja wanita di perkebunan kelapa sawit, mengetahui motivasi bekerja wanita di perkebunan kelapa sawit, dan mengetahui sumbangan pendapatan tenaga kerja wanita dalam rumah tangga.Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dimana menentukan sampel dari populasi dilakukan secara pertimbangan atau karakter-karakter tertentu dan dipilih secara sengaja.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan besarnya curahan waktu tenaga kerja wanita pada perusahaan kelapa sawit PT Agronusa Investama IIyaitu pada kegiatan ekonomi rata-rata 7 jam/hari dengan persentase 29,2%. Kegiatan rumah tangga 38,8%, kegiatan sosial 9,1%, dan kegiatan pribadi 22,9%. Motivasi tenaga kerja wanita harus bekerja untuk menambah pendapatan dengan persentase 78,3%, dan yang lainnya seperti mengisi waktu luang, lokasi kerja dekat rumah dan mencari pengalaman persentasenya 21,7%. Sumbangan pendapatan yang diperoleh tenaga kerja wanita yaitu rata-rata sebulan sebesar Rp3.112.667. Kontribusi pendapatan tenaga kerja wanita terhadap pendapatan keluarga adalah 48% dan sudah sangat baik dalam kontribusinya terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga. Abstract

The development of information technology is so rapid, of course it provides benefits to the community, one of which is the use of websites. Desa Kiran in using the website is still not optimal, as a result there is a lack of content published on the website. The existence of these problems assisting content creation and website management is important to be followed up in order to help Admin Staff and Volunteer Workers (TKS). The purpose of providing assistance is to assist Admin and TKS staff in creating content and managing websites. The method used is the application of science and technology in the form of assistance in content creation and website management. The implementation of mentoring is done through lectures, questions and answers, and direct practice. The result of this assistance is that the Admin and TKS staff can create content and manage the website well.

Abstract

The research aims to formulate a marketing strategy for ornamental plant traders in Sansevieria, South Garut during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by identifying problems and analyzing them through internal and external factors. The analytical tools used are the SWOT Matrix and SWOT Quadrants. According to the results of the 'SWOT analysis' it can be determined that the business position of ornamental plant traders in Sansevieria is located in Quadrant 1 (0.52: 0.90). These results indicate that the business is in strengths and potential opportunities to be developed through an SO strategy or an aggressive strategy. The strategy formulation that can be implemented is by utilizing the location to increase market share, optimizing digital marketing through social media, marketplaces, and websites, then implementing a product bundling strategy, maintaining and improving product/service quality, cultivating Sansevieria bulan and other plant variants, and cooperate with banking services in providing capital for business development.

Abstract

UMKM atau Usaha Kecil Mikro dan Menengah adalah kegiatan atau usaha bisnis yang dijalankan oleh individu, rumah tangga, maupun badan usaha kecil. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membawa perubahan sosial di masyarakat tanpa secara langsung menguntungkan merek atau UMKM tersebut. Permasalahan yang di temukan di tempat pengabdian yaitu tempat yang kurang strategis, belum adanya banner ataupun penanda, kurangnya fasilitas untuk pegawai, Strategi pemasaran yang masih kuno dan monoton. Hasil Pengabdian berupa fisik dan non fisik seperti penambahan item yaitu banner, karpet, pembuatan logo, nama brand, sosial media, dan pelatihan yang diberikan.

Abstract

Climate change significantly impacts agricultural production, food security, and livelihoods of rural communities in Sukabumi District. This study examines the relationship between climate change, agricultural production, food security, and the livelihoods of rural communities in the Sukabumi District. The study used a qualitative approach, including household surveys, interviews with key informants, and focus group discussions, to gather in 20 villages. Studies have found that climate change has led to a decline in crop yields, which has led to food insecurity and decreased incomes and livelihood opportunities for rural communities. Studies have also found that rural communities have used various adaptation strategies to cope with the impacts of climate change. However, these strategies are not enough to fully address the challenges faced by rural communities. The study's findings highlight the need for effective adaptation strategies to help rural communities cope with the impacts of climate change. In addition, the study findings point to the need for more investment in climate change research and monitoring, especially at the local level, to better understand the impact of climate change on rural communities and to provide foundational information for evidence-based policymaking and decision-making. Studies have limitations, including limited sample size and reliance on self-reported data. Future research could use a longitudinal design and incorporate more objective measures of agricultural productivity and food security to understand better climate change's impact on rural communities in Sukabumi District.

Abstract

Education is one of the main pillars in the development of a country's human resources. The integration of education with industry is one of the crucial aspects to be considered. This study aims to explore and analyse the impact of marketing education integration with industry in improving students' career readiness. This research is a literature review that uses a qualitative method approach, which means it will analyse and interpret data by relying on information and text from various sources. The study results show that the integration of marketing education with industry has a significant positive impact in improving students' career readiness. These measures include practical skills development, soft skills enhancement, professional network building, and maintaining curriculum relevance to the dynamic world of work. The importance of this integration cannot be overlooked in the effort to prepare students to compete in the competitive marketing industry.
