Abstract

COVID-19 is an acute respiratory disease caused by a new type of corona virus. This disease first broke out in Wuhan, China and then spread to almost the entire world and caused a global pandemic. Main symptoms. Covid-19 includes cough, fever and shortness of breath. This disease attacks all age groups: adults, the elderly, and children. Coastal communities need to get easy-to-understand education about Covid-19 and ways to prevent it. This is the basis for the community service team for the professional study program Ners Stikes Hang Tuah Tanjungpinang to actively participate in efforts to prevent and control the Covid-19 virus by providing counseling or outreach about Covid-19 and its prevention efforts to coastal communities on the Nyirih River. The results obtained were 115 people with elementary education background 86 people (75.6%), infected with Covid-19 10 people (8.6%) positive antigen, cormobid hypertension 28 people (24.3%), cormobid DM 12 people (10 .4%) who have hyperglycemia blood glucose levels. The majority of participants have high risk factors for being infected with Covid-19 which can cause respiratory failure and death in the Comorbid group

Abstract

Infusionis an invasive procedure that causes pain in children. Wich one strategy that can help reduce the pain is non-pharmacological measures that easy, can be done by nurses to reduce the pain during invasive procedure in children is a deep breathing relaxation techniques using play therapy blow propeller. The purpose ofstudythis was to know the effect of play therapy blowing propeller to decrease of pain infusion. Data collection was conducted from March-April 2018 at  Raja Ahmad Thabib Hospital Tanjungpinang. using design quasyexperimental approach only with posttest control group design. The sampling technique is consecutive sampling with the number 20 preschool children (2-6 years), 10 in the experimental group and 10 control group. Pain during infusion in children measured directly with a scale FLACC (Face,Legs, Activity, Cry,Consolability). The data analysis was performed with thetest Mann-Whitney to assess pain intensity difference between the intervention and control groups. These results indicate the existence of significant differences in pain scores p-value= 0.01(pv <0.05) between the intervention and control group at the time of infusion. This research may help to nurses and other health workers as non-pharmacological techniques when IVs that child pain intensity lighter. Keywords: Installation Infusion, Pain, Relaxation Breath deeply

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) prevalence grows 40% from 2014-2015 in Tanjung Pinang.Type 2 DM is a metabolism disorders that can cause any chronic complications, such as Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) byexamination of the results ankle brachial index (ABI) ≤ 0,90 .This research aimed an effectiveness of leg exercises to PAD on type 2 DM client. The research method was quasi experimental quantitative with pre-test and post-test study involves 66 respondents divided into 2 groups: one intervention groups and one control group each of 33 respondents. The Results, the majority of respondents aged 60-74 years (55%), women (80%), suffering from diabetes more than 10 years (50%), a history of hypertension (56%). After four weeks of intervention, the test results significant relationship of age (p=0,000) and suffering from diabetes (p=0,028) on the rate PAD. Significant difference in the rate of PAD before and after the intervention on theone groups: leg exercises(p = 0.000).The ordinal logistic regression test results point out that leg exercises has the strongest effect on the rate PAD (p = 0.033). The conclusion of this research is leg exercises an effectiveness to PAD on type 2 DM client. The recommends research further needs as sociated with other risk factors that affect PAD such as cholesterol levels, serum creatinine and HbA1c. ABI procedures inspection andthe use of leg exercisesas an independent nursing intervention in the nursing treatment of type 2 DM patients. Keywords: Leg Exercises, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract

Background: Deterioration in a patient's clinical condition can occur suddenly during hospitalization, making early detection essential to prevent delayed interventions and reduce mortality risk. Patient deterioration requires early detection using the National Early Warning Score (NEWS). However, its implementation is often reported to be associated with nurses' high workload. Furthermore, limited evidence exists on how workload influences digital NEWS documentation, particularly in resource-constrained settings. This study aimed to determine the relationship between workload and the implementation of digital NEWS documentation. Methods: This quantitative, cross-sectional study followed the STROBE guidelines and involved 72 nurses selected via convenience sampling at a Type A private hospital in Indonesia. The independent variable was workload, and the dependent variable was digital NEWS documentation. Data were collected using a validated workload questionnaire and a digital NEWS documentation checklist based on Royal College of Physicians (2017) standards, and analyzed using Jamovi software via Chi-square tests. Results: 76.4% of respondents experienced a non-heavy workload, and 65.3% implemented digital NEWS documentation. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between workload and the implementation of digital NEWS documentation (p = 0.003; OR = 0.186; CI95% = 0,058-0,597), indicating that a heavier workload was associated with a lower likelihood of completing NEWS documentation. Conclusion: These findings highlight that workload is significantly associated with clinical documentation compliance. To enhance patient safety, hospital administrators must move beyond general evaluations and implement targeted interventions, including staffing adjustments to balance nurse-to-patient ratios, workflow redesign to minimize administrative burden, and digital optimization of the digital NEWS system to streamline data entry.
