Abstract

Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit menular yang menyebabkan kematian ketiga setelah penyakit kardiovaskular dan penyakit saluran pernafasan. Prevalensi yang semakin meningkat memerlukan kegiatan skrining yang sistematis untuk mencegah meluasnya penyakit menular TB sekaligus mendukung program pemerintah dengan memasimalkan peran tenaga kesehatan sebagai garda utama dan memberdayakan masyarakat dalam upaya saling membantu mengurangi hingga mengeliminasi penyakit TB. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan dengan mengguankan strategi TEMPO (TEMukan pasien secepatnya, Pisahkan secara aman, Obati secara tepat). Metode ini mudah untuk diterapkan dan tidak membutuhkan biaya yang besar. Dengan metode ini pula akan mengurangi resiko penularan kasus TB dan TB Resistan obat yang belum teridentifikasi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di desa punggur Kapuas dan sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 100 orang. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa skrining, penyuluhan dan kegiatan pengkaderan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan 75 orang dinyatakan negatif mengalami TB.

Abstract

Background: Early warning score is one of the tools used by nurses in the treatment room to determine the critical condition of patients undergoing treatment. The early warning score can be a reference for changes in the patient's condition. Nurses have responsibilities, one of which is filling out the early warning score. Seeing the purpose of using the early warning score is very important in its implementation, but in implementing the filling of the early warning score, are there any obstacles felt by nurses. Objective: This research aims to find the barriers to implementing the early warning score in the treatment room. Methods: The method used is descriptive qualitative. The sample in this study was seven nurses in the treatment room. Result: The results of this study are three obstacles in applying the early warning score in the hospital treatment room: It takes a long time, allows for errors in adding up scores, and difficulties in remembering follow-up interventions. Conclusion: This study concludes that there are barriers to implementing the early warning score by nurses in the treatment room. Namely, it takes a long time to apply the early warning score using paper-based. It is possible to add up the scores incorrectly and have difficulty remembering further interventions that must be done.

Abstract

Introduction: Supportive educative system is a nursing practice with the aim of providing education and support the patients COPD able to perform self-care independently. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence supportive education on self-care independence. Method: This research used experimental design of pre-post test control group design. The sample size was 32 patients: 16 COPD patients at Soedarso - Pontianak General Hospital and 16 patients of dr. Abdul Aziz – Singkawang General Hospital. The variables of this research are supportive educative, self-care knowledge, and self-efficacy. Data collection using questionnaires and analyzed by paired t-test and simple linear regression. Result: The results showed a supportive educative effect on self-care independence. The result of paired t-test is significant difference in the intervention group that is self-care knowledge, and self-efficacy. While in the control group was not significant. The result of the regression test of supportive educative has an effect on the variable of self-care knowledge (R square 0,409) and insignificant in self-efficacy (R square 0,000). Discussion: Teaching and guiding methods in supportive educative programs can have an impact on aspects of nutritional patterns, especially improving eating habits, on the contrary to self-efficacy of the elderly not because they are more likely to focus on acceptance and rejection of their abilities in line with physical and intellectual setbacks.

Abstract

SARS-CoV-2 virus was found to be targeted cells may be located in the lower respiratory tract, COVID-19 infection can cause mild, moderate to severe symptoms. The main symptoms that appear are fever (> 38oC), cough and difficulty breathing. Vitamin C treatment has an antiviral effect. Clinical trials have shown that administering high doses of vitamin C has a beneficial effect against colds. As a nurse, one of the roles as an extension agent can be carried out in handling Covid-19 patients, namely providing communication, information, and education about health to the community. The role of nurses in providing education to the community is very necessary because it can make people who are given education understand the information conveyed. In this Community Service activity, the focus is on teenagers as one of the preventive efforts against the transmission of the Covid-19 virus through the provision of Health Education on the importance of consuming vitamin C according to the needs of the adolescent body.

Abstract

Integrated Healthcare Center, commonly known as Posyandu, is a form of a community resource health service system that is managed and organized from, by, for, and with the community. The idea is to develop and grow Posyandu as one of the indicators of community health empowerment. Through the attempt of human resource quality development, in this context was Posyandu cadres, Posyandu activities during the COVID-19 Pandemic had become a challenge for the cadres in carrying out their role. Therefore, health protocol was prioritized to upkeep Health and safety in general. Community service activities carried out by organizing group socialization for Toddler Posyandu cadres had become a strategy to improve cadres’ knowledge and skills in managing Posyandu activities. Test results of pretest and post-test analysis (?= 0,017) show a difference between before and after the mentoring. The Posyandu cadres are expected to be able to implement the knowledge they get during socialization.

Abstract

Lung tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) and often manifests in the lungs. This community service is motivated by the high number of cases of BTA (+) Tuberculosis in the Kubu Raya Regency. The purpose of this community service as an effort to provide health education as a form of application of existing nursing theories, namely the Health Promotion Model, which views the importance of health promotion and disease prevention is something that is logical and economical in Punggur Kapuas Village, West Kalimantan. The service method used first is the TB patient survey to identify smear through the sputum of people who are at risk of TB by conducting home visit checks, the second is counseling about TB, and the third is a demonstration of cough ethics and TB Kit for patients and families to reduce the risk of TB transmission. The community service activity was attended by 50 residents of the Kapuas Punggur Village. This activity also provided TB kit media containing masks, alcohol spray, sputum pots that can be used when TB sufferers want to get rid of sputum so that they are not disposed of anywhere, a small medicine box that can remind TB sufferers to take medicine. The results of this activity obtained an increase in the knowledge of residents about TB prevention before providing health education by 27 (54%) to 35 (70%) residents who have sufficient knowledge.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with an increasing incidence, especially in the elderly. One of the reasons is that many sufferers do not routinely even take medication after experiencing hypertension. In addition to medication, dietary factors can also increase the risk of an increase in blood pressure. Community service is expected to be able to help health problems independently. Community empowerment is carried out by introducing regional conditions, introspective surveys, deliberation, participatory planning, implementation of activities, and sustainability development. The implementation is carried out by providing health education about hypertension diet and medication adherence by using poster media entitled “CAT HITAM” during a pandemic, before and after the activity, pretest-posttest is carried out to determine dietary knowledge and medication adherence for hypertension sufferers, Health Education regarding activities that can be done, recommended food consumption, and medication adherence that hypertension sufferers must adhere to during a pandemic. The pretest-posttest results showed differences in knowledge of diet and medication before and after health education with a p-value <0.05. Dietary problems from the results of community assessments are mostly about the limits of salt consumption for hypertension and treatment. Most of the respondents said they stopped treatment because they felt they had no complaints. It needs cooperation from various parties to continuously motivate the elderly to follow the rules of diet and treatment of hypertension.

Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a disease characterized by symptoms of persistent breathing and limited air flow, so COPD patients often experience symptoms of shortness of breath. Poor quality of life of COPD patients is characterized by symptoms of cough that are experienced every day, phlegm, tightness, limited daily activity at home, worry about leaving the house due to lung conditions, and disturbed sleep patterns. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of self-care education on the quality of life of COPD patients. The research design uses a pre-experimental design, with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. COPD patient population registered at UPT. West Kalimantan Lung Health Services. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with criteria: stable COPD patients who underwent outpatients, aged less than 60 years, patients who could read and write. Total sample of 30 patients. The independent variable of self-care education and the dependent variable is quality of life a measured by the SGRQ questionnaire (Saint George’s Respiratory Questionnaire). Before being given self-care education respondents will be pretested and continued giving self-care education to COPD patients for 4 weeks with education as much as 9 meetings then posttest. Data from the pretest-posttest were analyzed using the Paired t-test with value of p = 0,000 which means there were significant differences in the quality of life of COPD patients before and after the intervention. Nurses are expected to be able to provide education in improving the quality of life of COPD

Abstract

Pasien dengan penyakit kronik akan menunjukkan penurunan tingkat kemampuan perawatan diri dalam mengenali dan mengelola gejala penyakitnya. Penurunan aktivitas pada kehidupan sehari-hari akibat sesak napas yang dialami pasien PPOK mengakibatkan makin memperburuk kondisi tubuhnya. Self care management merupakan suatu bantuan untuk mengontrol dan mengurangi sebagian besar gejala dan komplikasi dari kerusakan pernapasan dan mengajarkan pasien PPOK untuk mencapai suatu kemampuan aktivitas sehari - hari. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh modul perawatan perawatan diri sebagai supportive educative terhadappengetahuan perawatan diri (self care), self efficacy dan perilaku perawatan diriPenelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy eksperimental pre-post test control group desaign. Besar sampel sejumlah 32 pasien. Tehnik pengambilan data secara purposive sampling. Variabel penelitian ini meliputi : supportive educative menggunakan modul, pengetahuan perawatan diri, self efficacy dan perilaku perawatan diri. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan perawatan diri, self efficacy, perilaku perawatan diri dan observasi perilaku perawatan diri. Data dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test.Hasil uji paired t test terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan pada kelompok intervensi yaitu pengetahuan perawatan diri (p=0,000),self efficacy (p=0,000) dan perilaku perawatan diri (p=0,000), sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol pengetahuan perawatan diri (p=0,633), self efficacy (p=0,164) dan perilaku perawatan diri (p=0,216).Kata kunci : PPOK, modul perawatan diri, pengetahuan perawatan diri, self efficacy dan perilaku perawatan diriDOI: 10.5281/zenodo.3561973

Abstract

Aims : This study is to find out the most diagnoses in stroke patients so that they can arrange appropriate interventions. Design: This study is a retrospective study using the descriptive anaysis. Methods :. The population of this study were all medical records of patients with stroke in 2018 - 2019 in Installation of Tanjungpura University Hospital. The study sample was selected using a purposive sampling method with inclusion criteria, namely patients with ischemic stroke, active patients undergoing outpatient care. The number of samples used was 100 medical record documents of stroke patients. The method of data collection is carried out by checklist instrument. Results : The results of the study were 6 nursing diagnoses that were often enforced by nurses in ischemic stroke patients, namely nursing diagnoses of . Impaired physical mobility ( 59 %), acute pain ( 24%), activity intolerance ( 7%), risk for ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion (5%), impaired verbal communication (3%) and impaired skin integrity (2%). However, of the 6 diagnoses, there were 2 nursing diagnoses written that were not in accordance with the labels on the 2015-2017 NANDA, however namely impaired skin integrity (100%) and impaired verbal communication (46%). Conclusions : It is recommended to increase the socialization of nursing diagnoses so that nurses write a diagnosis according to the diagnosis label used as a reference for writing documentation.
