Abstract

Breast milk is the most ideal nutrition for babies because it contains nutrients that are most suitable for the baby's needs and contains antibodies that can protect babies from various diseases, especially during the Covid-19 period. This study aims to determine the factors that influence breastfeeding patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.The research design used Correlative Analytical with Crosssectional approach. The sample of this research used purposive sampling. The number of samples is 97 breastfeeding mothers in the city of Padang in 2021. Collecting data using a structured questionnaire to determinethe level of knowledge, attitudes, work status and breastfeeding patterns during COVID-19. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate usingChi-square statistical test (p < 0.05). Based on the results of the Kruskal Wallis test, of the 4 variables that are associated with breastfeeding patternsduring Covid-19, only the knowledge variable has an Assymp sig = 0.049 (< 0.05), it can be concluded that there is a difference between a person's level of knowledge on breastfeeding patterns. during Covid-19. While the education, work and attitude variables have an Assymp Sig value > 0.05 which means there is no difference between education, work and attitudes with breastfeeding patterns during Covid-19.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), which is still high and far from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target, encourages midwives to increase promotive and preventive efforts in providing midwifery care and reproductive health. One of the efforts of midwives is to provide midwifery care based on Continuity of Care (CoC). Midwifery care covers the entire life cycle, from preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, newborns, neonates, toddlers, adolescent preschoolers, and childbearing ages to the elderly. This sustainable care is expected to be able to explore the problems that exist in individuals and to overcome these problems by empowering husbands, families and communities. This activity aims to increase the number of better health degrees for women of childbearing age in every phase they go through, physically and psychologically/mentally, in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The method was carried out by interviewing groups of women in the preconception period, groups of pregnant women, postpartum mothers, mothers who have babies and toddlers, and women of childbearing age. It involved Independent Practice Midwives in the Cities of Padang, Padang Panjang and Pariaman by providing communication, information, education, and counselling. Each group has increased knowledge of physical and psychological needs in every phase of their life and sufficient involvement of husband or family in pregnancy, postpartum and newborn phases. It is necessary to increase community empowerment in every phase to achieve health status in every cycle of a woman's life.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on family health services, especially efforts to prevent death, including maternal mortality which is an indicator that determines the degree of public health. One of the efforts to reduce maternal mortality is the antenatal care program. The purpose of this study was to find out about antenatal care services during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Air Tawar Health Center. This study used a qualitative method with a systems approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The results showed that for the input component, human resources were sufficient and according to standards. Funds are available and sourced from BOK and BPJS. SOPs are available which refer to the RI Ministry of Health Guidelines, but the officers did not carry out the SOPs perfectly. The facilities and infrastructure are complete. For the process component, the health center has carried out the flow of antenatal care services and health protocols in accordance with the guidelines, but officers still do not use complete PPE according to service standards. For the output component, the coverage of ANC services has decreased significantly during the pandemic and is still far from the national target. For the outcome component, pregnant women are satisfied with antenatal care services, but some pregnant women do not have routine checks. It was concluded that the antenatal care program at the Air Tawar Health Center was generally running well, but staff still needed to pay more attention to service procedures and the use of PPE.Keywords: antenatal care; COVID-19; public health center ABSTRAK Pandemi COVID-19 berdampak pada pelayanan kesehatan keluarga terutama upaya pencegahan kematian, termasuk kematian ibu yang menjadi indikator yang menentukan derajat kesehatan masyarakat.
