Abstract

The culinary business has been growing so fast and competitively that it needs specific ways to attract customers. The food names, one thing people can directly see in restaurants or cafes, should be attractive and persuasive as they can be used as an indirect advertisement. This research aims at tracing the features of words used in naming foods for restaurant menus and how they fulfill the function of informing, attracting, and persuading customers. This study used a qualitative method to explore the naming of food on the menus of fifty restaurants in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The finding showed the words related to the element of the ingredient were mostly found in the naming of dishes on the menus. There were food names consisting of only one feature of the word, such as Krengsengan, Lodeh, and Mendol, which were the traditional food names; however, there were also names that used a combination of those features.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan bola gantung terhadap keterampilan smash kedeng digunakan tiga uji dengan menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSsS, Statistics, yaitu uji normalitas shapiro wilk, uji homogenitas varians F, dan uji hipotesis T. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian (eksperimen) dengan menggunakan rancangan One group pre test-post test Design yaitu kelompok yang diberikan perlakuan, tetapi sebelum perlakuan, terlebih dahulu dilakukan tes awal (pretest) dan kemudian diberikan perlakuan. Setelah itu dilakukan lagi test akhir (posttest). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan smash kedeng pada siswa SMP 10 Selayar. Hasil pre test uji normalitas shapiro wilk sebesar 0,010 > 0,021 dan post test sebesar 0,356 > 0,05. Dari hasil uji homogenitas varians didapatkan F hitung (4,037) F tabel (4,20). Hasil uji T menunjukkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,102 > 0,05 dan nilai T hitung 1,689 < 2,048 T tabel.

Abstract

Background. The Grammar-Translation Method (GT) and Audio-Lingual Method (ALM) are two main approaches to English language learning that have long been used in Indonesian university settings. GT emphasizes understanding grammatical structures and classical texts, while ALM focuses on repeated practice and the use of audio as a source of language input. Purpose. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Grammar-Translation and Audio-Lingual Methods in English language learning in Indonesian universities, taking into account the views and experiences of lecturers and students. Method. Data were collected through an online survey asking respondents' opinions regarding the effectiveness of GT and ALM in English language learning. The survey included structured questions about respondents' perceptions of these learning methods. Results. Data analysis showed polarized opinions among respondents regarding the effectiveness of GT and ALM. Most respondents saw GT as effective in understanding language structures and classical texts, while ALM was considered effective in improving speaking and listening skills through repeated practice and audio. Conclusion. As a result of this study, it can be concluded that GT and ALM have their own advantages and disadvantages in English language learning in Indonesian universities. Therefore, a holistic and integrated approach that combines elements of both methods can be the most effective approach in preparing students for effective English communication in various contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the outdoor study method based on discovery learning on the science learning outcomes of class IV UPT SPF SD Inpres Hombes Armed students. This research is a quantitative research type of experimental research with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was 30 class IV A students consisting of 14 men and 16 women. The sampling technique in this research is saturated sampling. The research instruments used were observation sheets, learning outcomes tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the help of the SPSS computer program. The results of this research show that the teacher's ability to apply the discovery learning-based outdoor study method to the science learning outcomes of class IV students received an average score of 3.2, which means it was implemented well. The learning outcomes of class IV A students are described from the results of the prerequisite tests which consist of normality test results of the pretest 0.007 ≥ 0.05 and posttest 0.031 ≥ 0.05 with normal distribution, homogeneity test results 0.013 ≥ 0.05 which means homogeneous and the results of the hypothesis test 0.001 with the criteria Sig (0.001) ≤ α (0.05). So the results of this research show that there is an influence of the outdoor study method based on discovery learning on the science learning outcomes of class IV students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Hombes Armed

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, refleksi dalam peningkatkan hasil belajar servis backhand dalam permainan bulutangkis melalui metode inquiry pada siswa SMP Negeri 4 Ponrang Kabupaten Luwu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan di siklus I dan siklus II dan di rancang melalui empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan reflekasi. Subjek dalam penelitina ini adalan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Ponrang Kabupaten Luwu. Pengumpulan data kemampuan servis backhand dengan menggunakan lembar penilaian teknik sikap awal, sikap gerakan, dan sikap gerakan akhir serta lembar soal essay untuk penialain kognitif dan lebar observasi untuk penilaian afektif pada siklus I dan siklus II data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil analisis Kuantitatif data hasil belajar servis backhand menunjukkan bahwa jumlah siswa yang tuntas pada siklus I adalah 16 orang dengan persentase 66,67 % d sedangkan pada siklus II Jumlah siswa yang tuntas 24 orang dengan persentase 100 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran servis backhand dalam permaian bulutangkis melalui metode inquiry dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar servis backhand dalam permainan bulutangkis pada siswa SMP Negeri 4 Ponrang kabupaten Luwu

Abstract

Background. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) and learning analytics in United Kingdom education has brought about significant changes in the way students learn and educators teach. The technology offers better personalization of learning and faster feedback, but it also presents challenges, such as resistance from educators and data privacy and security issues. Purpose. This study aims to explore the benefits and challenges of applying AI and learning analytics in the context of United Kingdom language education, with a focus on improving academic outcomes and students' and educators' perceptions of these technologies. Method. This study uses a combined method of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Quantitative data was collected through questionnaires from 100 students and 30 educators, as well as analysis of academic outcomes before and after the application of AI. In addition, in-depth interviews were conducted to gain further perspectives from educators regarding their experiences in using this technology. A case study at a high school in Jakarta was also integrated to enrich the research results. Results. The results showed a significant increase in students' academic outcomes, with the average academic score increasing from 75 to 82 after the application of AI. The increase in positive perceptions of AI is also seen in students and educators, who feel that this technology helps in personalizing learning and improving teaching efficiency. However, challenges such as early resistance from educators and data privacy issues still need further attention. Conclusion. In conclusion, AI and learning analytics have great potential to improve the quality of United Kingdom education, but careful implementation and a deeper understanding of their challenges are necessary for successful long-term implementation.

Abstract

Dalam permainan cabang olahraga sepak takraw setiap pemain harus dituntut untuk menguasai teknik saat bertanding. Teknik yang harus dikuasai yaitu: Sepak Sila, Sepak Punggung, Menyundul, dan Memaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan teknik dasar sepak takraw pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Maros. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dasar sepak takraw. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Maros dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 45 siswa yaitu siswa laki-laki. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu; Observasi, dan Dokumentasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan survei yang menggabungkan teknik pengujian dan pengukuran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah presentase (%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa secara keseluruhan tingkat keterampilan teknik dasar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Maros secara keseluruhan dapat dijelaskan bahwa dari 45 siswa mendapatkan klasifikasi baik sekali sebanyak 3 siswa dengan presesntase 6,7% mendapatkan klasifikasi baik sebanyak 11 siswa dengan persentase 24,4%, klasifikasi sedang sebanyak 12 siswa dengan persentase 26,7%, klasifikasi kurang sebanyak 15 siswa dengan persentase 33,3%, klasifikasi kurang sekali sebanyak 4 siswa dengan persentase 8,9%, Melihat keterampilan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Maros secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Maros masuk dalam kategori “kurang ”.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui minat belajar Pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan mengetahui minat belajar siswa pada pendidikan jasmani. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMPN 24 Bulukumba yang berjumlah 300, untuk sampel penelitian sebanyak 120 siswa yang terdiri dari 54 laki-laki dan 66 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner atau angket pernyataan dan dokumentasi. Analisi data pada penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dan dalam pengelolaan data-data tabulasi nilai menggunakan aplikasi windows SPSS versi 2.1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada penelitian ini dapat dideskripsikan bahwa pada indikator minat siswa dengan perasaan senang sebanyak 42 siswa dengan persentase 36%, indikator perhatian siswa sebanyak 39 siswa dengan persentase 33%, indikator kesadaran untuk belajar siswa sejumlah 47 siswa dengan persentase 40%, dan indikator konsentrasi siswa sejumlah 40 siswa dengan persentase 34%. Dapat simpulkan bawah pada penelitian Survei Minat Belajar Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan Siswa Pada Pasca Pandemi Covid-19 SMPN 24 Bulukumba berada pada kategori sedang. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to find out students' interest in learning physical education, sports, and health, this research is a descriptive study that aims to determine students' learning interests in physical education. The research subjects were 300 students at SMPN 24 Bulukumba, for a sample of 120 students consisting of 54 boys and 66 girls. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, a statement questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis in this study used quantitative descriptive research and the management of value tabulation data using the Windows SPSS version 2.1 application. Based on the results of the research in this study, it can be described that the indicators of student interest with happy feelings were 42 students with a percentage of 36%, the indicators of student attention were 39 students with a percentage of 33%, the indicators of student learning were a number of students with a percentage of 40%, and the indicators of student concentration were 40 students with a percentage of 34%. It can be concluded that the research on the Study Interest Survey for Physical Education, Sports, and Health of Students in the Post-COVID-19 Pandemic, SMPN 24 Bulukumba, is in the medium category.

Abstract

The problem in this research was that there had never been a test on the futsal playing skills of Extracurricular Players at SMP Kartika XX-2 Makassar. This research aims to determine the level of futsal playing skills of participants who take part in extracurricular activities at SMP Kartika XX-2 Makassar. This research is a descriptive study activity (survey) which was carried out in one meeting and contained several tests, namely: passing, dribbling, control and shooting. This research data is the result of passing, dribbling, control and shooting tests which were carried out twice using seconds. The data source for this research is the Kartika XX-2 Makassar Middle School players who take part in futsal extracurricular activities, totaling 30 players. Data collection for this research used instruments from Agus Susworo's source which included: Dribbling from post 1 to post 4 or the ball stopped, passing test without stopping 10 times, one cone turning left and one cone turning right to form the number 8, passing stopping test 10 times. using the right foot and left foot, shooting the goal once using the right foot and once the left foot. These results show that in the very good category there is 1 player or 3.3%, in the good category there are 6 players or 20%, in the fair category there are 17 players or 56.7%. Meanwhile, the less and less categories each have 3 players or 10%.

Abstract

Communication is important things for human being without communication people cannot share express their ideas, feelings, and information to each others. Langauge use to connect to human life by the conversation.This research analyzed about illocutionary act that find in Cinderella’s movie in 2015. This thesis analyzed what are types of illocutionary act and what are the context used in Cinderella’s movie. In this research, the researcher analyzed the types and context of illocutionary act that used in the movie. Illocutionary act consist of five types: assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declaration. This research is a descriptive qualitative. The technique of collecting data from this reseacrh is by observation method. The steps of analyzing the data, the researcher download and watching the movie. Then, the researcher take a note to write the utterance in the movie scripts and the researcher analyzed and caterogized the utterance that related to the types and context of illocutionary act. The data use informal way, which just by the words. The results of the data analysis are 20 there are 8 utterances that find of Assertive, 4 utterances of Commissive, 5 utterances of Directive, 3 utterances of expressive, and in the last is Declarative there is no declarative found in the data analysis.
