Abstract

Global Innovation, science and technology performance is one of the essential problems that Indonesian universities face. Currently, sciences and technology (IPTEK)’s partnership among university, government, industry, and Indonesia’s society have not been conducted optimally. This paper discusses the impact of the relationship between university’s science and technology global partnership, QS/world university ranking, university/industry research collaboration with sustainability knowledge-based economy (KBE) as well as suggesting some possible solutions for optimization. The investigation was followed by a cause-and-effect analysis that was gained from several secondary data and reports such as Global innovation Index (GII), UI Scholar, QS, THE, SINTA, ASEAN Benchmarking’s data during 2010 to 2020. These are gathered to calculate and analyse the correlation-determination (r & Kd), significance test (t-count and t-table), and moderating variables (MRA). Analysis data uses descriptive statistics and a simple regression technique. The results showed that QS university ranking and university/industry research collaboration as a moderating relationship of UI’s IPTEK global partnership have a simultaneously positive and significant effect on the sustainability of Indonesia's knowledge-based economy. Three of six hypotheses have showed very significant results, with numbers roughly above 85% up to 98%, H2: 88.5%, H3: 89.6%, 98.6% MRA of X2 against X3 respectively. In comparison with the two others, several are above 60%. These are X1 against X3:74.5% and X1 to X4: 67.5% respectively. The remaining one is X1 against X2: 25.7%, which examines the direct effects between independent and dependent variables without using the moderating variables. Hence, it is argued that contributions of a higher education institution to sustainability KBE could be determined by the level of their competitiveness on regional and global levels. This study may serve as motivation for universities particularly in Indonesia to strive with their existing resource capacities continuously. Hence, UI could serve as a role model to the other universities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the direct positive influence of interpersonal communication and peer supervision on teacher performance in elementary schools. The study aims to understand how these factors contribute to enhancing teacher effectiveness and overall educational quality. The method used in this research is a structural equation model analysis, which allows for the examination of relationships between multiple variables simultaneously. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to elementary school teachers, and the results were analyzed using statistical software. The findings indicate that both interpersonal communication and peer supervision have significant positive effects on teacher performance. The path coefficients for the influence of interpersonal communication and peer supervision on teacher performance are 0.4148 and 0.7857, respectively, with p-values less than 0.05, indicating strong statistical significance. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of effective communication skills and structured peer supervision programs in fostering a collaborative and supportive educational environment. These results suggest that educational institutions should prioritize developing these areas to improve teacher performance and student outcomes. In conclusion, enhancing interpersonal communication and peer supervision among teachers can lead to significant improvements in teaching effectiveness. Educational institutions are encouraged to implement training and support programs to strengthen these skills, thereby promoting a higher quality of education. Keywords: interpersonal communication; peer supervision; teacher performance

Abstract

Teachers must have the competences for the implementation of quality education. Therefore, teachers' quality of learning in the classroom has become the teachers' duty and responsibility. This study aims to explore the information about the effect of clinical supervision and self-efficacy on teacher pedagogic competence. The research site is at State Vocational High Schools. This study used a survey method with path analysis techniques and a causal quantitative approach, and the sample was 72 teachers using a simple random sampling technique or simple random sampling. The teacher who became the object of the research was determined using the sample technique formula from Slovin. The data analysis technique was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics by first doing the prerequisite analysis test, namely population normality and regression analysis. The study's findings show that school principals' success in the clinical supervision process will determine teachers' pedagogical competence. Competent teachers can learn well and increase student learning motivation to achieve and produce students who excel in their fields. This clinical supervision can be performed if carried out in the right and proper way. The school principal as a supervisor in the implementation of clinical supervision must promote togetherness, where the problems faced by teachers are joint problems that must resolve together.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of online zonation system on new student admissions during the Covid-19 pandemic. During a pandemic, the entire PPDB process is carried out through one route. As for the difficulty, prospective students can come to school by sticking to health protocols. The research location is one of the favourite high schools. Primary data sources were obtained from in-depth interviews directly with informants. Secondary data sources are taken from books, journals, and other official documents from informants. The selection of informants was selected by purposive non-probability sampling: data collection techniques used online observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data validity used source triangulation—this research analysis using descriptive method. The data collection technique was carried out through interviews with parents, school representatives, and related agencies and was also supported by literature studies related to school zoning policies. The results showed that the application of PPDB zoning was more effective online during the pandemic. Because it can minimize parents' arrival and optimize the functions of the existing PPDB system. The implementation of the school zoning policy caused turmoil in the community. Limited time for socialization, lack of understanding of the PPDB mechanism with the zoning system, and uneven educational standards are some of the obstacles in its implementation in the field.
