Abstract

People who live in urban areas can be explained as social groups that are sociologically in the middle class, have a productive life, and are part of social change. Shopee as one of the marketplaces in Indonesia always needs to consider the factor of technology usage that allows users to make purchases with a variety of products (multi-product) available. This study aims to analyze the behavior of using Urban Consumer Behavior with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. Data analysis using SMART PLS 3.0 involving 163 samples in Jakarta with survey-questionnaire as a method of data collection. The results of this study explain that two hypotheses were accepted and two more hypotheses were rejected. In this case, Shopee's website/app usage behavior is influenced by the Ease of Use Factor. Furthermore the Benefit factor is influenced by the Ease of Use factor. On the other hand, usage is not influenced by usage behavior. Then the use is not influenced by the expediency factor. TAM as a classic model in explaining technology adoption in aspects of daily life is still needed to gain more understanding, especially on the characteristics of various or different samples.

Abstract

One of the Indonesia's leading online food delivery services is Shopee Food. It has competed with other big players. This application has caught the attention of users, even those from the Z generation, who are known for their easy-to-move characteristics and are close to technological applications but sensitive to user experience. This generation's convenience is influenced by many factors. This study analyzes the factors that influence attitudes and behavior for sustainable use of this application in Jakarta. Quantitative data is collected using a survey and questionnaire. This PLS-SEM modeling study shows that after using the service in this application, the user's hedonic motivation must be followed by comfort and usability. The user will evaluate the post-use usefulness of the previous experience to form an attitude toward the next perceived experience. Behavioral intentions toward sustainable use are encouraged. This study highlights the importance of usability and ease of use in determining user comfort. Generation Z does not easily form positive usage attitudes until the benefits of the next experience are the same or better.

Abstract

The food and beverage sector in Indonesia is becoming increasingly competitive, particularly in restaurants with current themes. Several restaurants were quite enthusiastic about adding outlets during the first opening phase, but they were forced to close one by one over time. In this situation, satisfaction and loyalty can decide the restaurant's long-term viability. Based on this, this study was undertaken with the goal of studying the determinants of modern restaurant customer loyalty utilizing price fairness, sensory experience, and customer satisfaction as predictive variables. This quantitative study employs partial lease square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS 4.0 as an analytical tool. The findings of this study, which used purposive sampling on 190 Warunk Upnormal consumers ranging in age from generations Z to Y, demonstrate how pricing fairness and sensory experience influence happiness and loyalty. Similarly, satisfaction influences consumer loyalty. This study reveals that restaurants with a contemporary concept have key characteristics in terms of facilities that are appealing to look at and enjoy, such as the aroma of their food. However, if the target clientele for restaurants with contemporary themes are young people, the issue of pricing fairness must be addressed.

Abstract

By 2024, the quantity of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) users in Indonesia is projected to reach 51 million. The usage of QRIS as a cashless payment system is gaining widespread acceptance. Nevertheless, research on cashless payment methods, including QRIS, indicates that usage behavior is significantly affected by multiple variables. Conversely, prior research has predominantly concentrated on consumers' age or generational backgrounds. This study seeks to examine the factors influencing QRIS usage behavior, specifically considering the backgrounds of employees in metropolitan regions, particularly Greater Jakarta. This research employs a quantitative methodology via a questionnaire survey to gather primary data. This study demonstrates, using SmartPLS, that mobile ease of use and perceived compatibility significantly influence QRIS usage behavior. Conversely, relative advantage and social influence indicate a different outcome. This is mostly attributable to the functions and attributes of QRIS, which is no longer an innovative product, having been preceded by several e-wallets. Further research could benefit from additional information on the background of e-wallet utilization, the incorporation of supplementary variables into the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model, and the expansion of studies to encompass other urban regions.

Abstract

In 2024, the Composite Stock Price Index underwent a significant fall due to multiple domestic and worldwide issues. Numerous prior research have investigated financial behavioral elements as a connection in investment decisions; nevertheless, this study presents originality by concentrating on these factors that exert a direct influence. This study analyzes the financial behavioral aspects that affect stock investment decisions in Indonesia, particularly in the Jakarta region. This research employs a quantitative approach via a questionnaire survey to gather primary data, which is subsequently analyzed using SmartPLS. This discovery alters the current paradigm. This study revealed that, despite the common belief that investor sentiment affects investing decisions, the findings indicate that investor sentiment does not exert a substantial influence. This study demonstrated that, contrary to numerous other studies indicating that investor sentiment affects investment decisions, investor sentiment does not exert a substantial influence. This discovery contests the current paradigm and demonstrates that elements such as economic fundamentals, market volatility, and individual investor traits are more influential in investment decision-making. This study encourages research on other factors affecting Indonesian stock market investment decisions. Future research should include more factors and widen the study region to better understand investment behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Green Packaging (GP), Environmental Awareness (EA), and Willingness to Pay (WTP) on Purchase Decision (PD), with Perceived Naturalness (PN) and Perceived Healthiness (PH) serving as mediating variables among street food consumers in urban settings. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach via a survey technique. The sample comprised 161 street food patrons chosen through a purposive sampling method. The investigation was conducted utilizing the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The findings indicated that GP exerted no significant influence on the purchase choice, whereas EA and WTP demonstrated a positive and significant impact on BD when assessed directly. The association between green packaging mediated by perceived naturalness is favorable and substantial, however it is not significant when mediated by perceived healthiness. Environmental awareness shows a substantial and favorable correlation with BD, either directly or through mediation by PN and PH. The willingness to pay exerts a positive and substantial influence on BD; however, when mediated by PN, this effect is not significant, but mediation by PH results in a positive and significant effect.
