Abstract

Learning Zapin Imam Berempat in the form of a mixed ensemble in high school N 1 Pinggir. The song is orchestrated using four kinds of instruments, piano, ballet, guitar, and kajon. This research uses the Action Reseach method. In data collection using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models of a spiral model in which there are Cycles 1 and Cycles II, when the problem is not solved then proceed to the next cycle until the problem has been solved. This research is done through phases, planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The results of this study show that the pupils in receiving learning are happy. I'm so excited, because this song of Zapin Imam Berempat is easy to accept by pupils. The students gained musical knowledge in particular in the form of an ensemble, so that the students were able to present Zapin Imam Berempat songs in an ensemble form in front of the audience.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPelatihan ensambel musik lagu Baju Kuruang merupakan suatu proses musikal untuk meninjau bakat musik siswa kelas X di SMA3 Padangpanjang  Sumatera Barat. Pengukuran kemampuan siswa yang dapat diartikan sebagai tahapan dalam melihat minat siswa atas pelajaran seni musik di sekolah. Untuk melihat bakat siswa tersebut pelatihan ensambel musik dari lagu yang berjudul lagu Baju Kuruang dijadikan sebagai salah satu media dalam melihat perkembangan bakat siswa di sekolah menengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan yaitu action research. Hasil dari pelatihan ensambel musik lagu Baju Kuruang yang dilakukan di SMA 3, ada beberapa siswa memiliki bakat dengan kemampuan yang baik dalam memainkan musik dan ada pula yang sedang. Kata Kunci: Bakat ; siswa ; ensambel ; musik ; baju kuruang.ABSTRACTThe training for the Baju Kuruang song music ensemble is a musical process to review the musical talents of class X students at SMA 3 Padang Panjang, West Sumatra. Measuring students' abilities can be interpreted as a stage in seeing students' interest in music and art lessons at school. To see the talent of these students, the music ensemble training of the song "Song of Baju Kuruang" was used as one of the media to see the development of students' talents in high schools. This study uses a qualitative research method with an action research approach, namely Action Research. As a result of the Baju Kuruang song music ensemble training conducted at SMA 3, some students had talent with good abilities in playing music and some were moderate.Keywords: Talent ; student ; ensemble ; music ; fewer clothes.

Abstract

This article is the result of research into the Si'ulu death ceremony in the village of Bawömataluo, South Nias, Sumatra, Indonesia which uses Nias customs using the traditional art of Famözi Göndra which has a melodic interweaving of percussion instruments. This traditional music research is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method to analyse the musical elements found in the community of Bawömataluo Village, South Nias. Data coded from various performances of Famözi Göndra, in the form of musical elements, were reduced, then presented descriptively. The elements of traditional Famözi Göndra music include instruments and performers. In addition to musical elements such as: Rhythm, Melody, Timbre, and Tempo can be enjoyed by the audience.

Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini memuat tentang karya musik ilustrasi yang berangkat dari prosesi  Ritual Pemujaan Dewi Saraswati  yang dilaksaanakan  di Bali pada setiap tahunnya yang dilakukan pada pagi hari. Pengkarya menghadirkan suasana sesuai alur cerita dari tahap persiapan hingga tahan prosesi ritual,. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mewujudkan komposisi musik ilustrasi dalam bentuk garapan multimedia dengan mengambil ide musical  dari mantra pemujaan terhadap Dewi Saraswati.  Metode pencitaan yang digunakan  dalam penggarapan karya ini adalah  metode penciptaan A.M. Hawkins yang terdiri atas tiga tahap yaitu ; (2) Tahap explorasi , (2) tahap eksperimen, (3) perwujudan.  Penggarapan komposisi musik  ilustrasi  ini menghasilkan komposisi musik multimedia yang berjudul “ Ilustrasi of Music “Ritual Pemujaan Saraswati dalam bentuk free formKata Kunci:Ritual Pemujaan Dewi Saraswati; Musik Ilustrasi; Musik MultimediaABSTRACTThis article contains an illustrated piece of music that departs from the procession of the Ritual Worship of Dewi Saraswati which is held in Bali every year which is done in the morning. The creators present the atmosphere according to the storyline from the preparation stage to the ritual procession. The purpose of writing this article is to create an illustrated musical composition in the form of a multimedia work by taking the musical idea from the mantra of worship of Dewi Saraswati. The creation method used in the creation of this work is A.M. Hawkins which consists of three stages namely; (2) Exploration stage, (2) experimental stage, (3) embodiment. The cultivation of this illustration music composition resulted in a multimedia music composition entitled "Illustration of Music" Saraswati Worship Ritual in free form Keywords: Goddess Saraswati Worship Rituals; Illustrated Music; Multimedia Music.

Abstract

Pertunjukan musik dari berbagai zaman seperti klasik, modern, melayu dan popular dibalut kedalam sebuah pertunjukan solis gitar dengan menggunakan teknik pertunjukan musik yang mengandung kaidah konvensional. Pertunjukan ini terdiri dari beberapa repertoar dari zaman yang bebeda. Repertoar pertama berasal dari zaman modern yang berjudul Elogio de la danza dengan komposer Leo Brower yang diciptakan pada tahun 1964. Repertoar kedua yaitu Nurlela yang dipopulerkan oleh Bing Slamet. Repertoar ketiga berjudul It’s a beautiful day dengan komposer Tohpati yang diciptakan pada tahun 2013. Penyaji mengaplikasikan berbagai teknik seperti tirando, arpegio, harmonic, apoyando, slur, golpe, dan rasgueado untuk mewujudkan pertunjukan yang sempurna.Kata Kunci: Pertunjukan; Gitar Klasik; Solis

Abstract

Relasi dendang Padang Pulai dengan tari piring Basiang Batanam di Nagari Kuncir merupakan kolaborasi dua seni pertunjukan yang saling berkaitan serta memiliki relasi kuasa di dalamnya. Teks dendang dan gerakan tari piring ini terinspirasi dari aktivitas masyarakatnya yang sedang bertani serta keadaaan alam disekelilinya. Dalam pertunjukannya pendendang memiliki kuasa menentukan gerakan penari melalui ungkapan-ungkapan teks dendang yang dinyanyikan sambil diiringi instrumen saluang bansi dan rebana yang dimainkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengungkap relasi dendang Padang Pulai dengan tari piring Basiang Batanam serta unsur-unsur musik di dalamnya. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif, menggunakan metode etnografi dengan pendekatan musikologis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan seperti: Observasi, menetapkan informan, wawancara, membuat catatan etnografi, membuat pertanyaan deskriptif, menulis suatu etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjalinnya kolaborasi antara seni musik dendang Padang Pulai dengan seni tari piring Basiang Batanam di Nagari Kuncir, sehingga terlihat relasi yang saling mendukung diantara keduanya baik pada teks maupun unsur-unsur musik di dalamnya yang membuat kesenian tersebut unik dan menarik.Kata Kunci: Dendang Padang Pulai, Relasi, Tari piring Basiang Batanam, Unsur Musikal

Abstract

Karya ini berjudul “Repertoar Usher Valse, BWV 1006a- Gavotte, Orang Kayo Hitam, Khatulistiwa Dalam Pertunjukan Solis Gitar”. Dalam Jurnal ini penyaji akan memberikan penjelasan tentang bagaimana penyaji menginterpretasikan karya yang penyaji tampilkan dalam pertunjukan. Repertoar yang akan ditampilkan berupa Usher Valse karya Nikita Koshkin, BWV 1006a Gavotte karya J.S. Bach, Orang Kayo Hitam karya H. Firdaus Chatab dengan musik dari Arief Iskandar dan Khatulistiwa karya Tohpati. Repertoar ini ditunjukan dari berbagai zaman seperti Usher Valse dari zaman Modern yang berartikan lagu mempunyai garapan dan diterbitkan pada masa Modern yaitu abad ke-20, BWV 1006a-Gavotte dari zaman Barok abad ke -17, Orang Kayo Hitam dari zaman popular Melayu di abad ke-20 akhir. Selanjutnya Khatulistiwa zaman popular abad ke-20 akhir dan 21 awal. Penyaji berharap semua pertunjukan yang penyaji bawakan dapat tersampaikan ke penonton dengan interpretasi yang sesuai. Abstract

Komposisi Sound Design Rumah Potong Hewan Padangpanjang adalah karya musik multimedia yang menggabungkan elemen bunyi organik dan buatan untuk menciptakan suasana yang menggambarkan aktivitas di Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) Padangpanjang. Proses penciptaan melibatkan eksplorasi dan pengembangan bunyi, di mana berbagai suara lingkungan seperti jeritan hewan, asahan pisau, dan aktivitas pekerja direkam dan diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) Studio One 6. Teknik sound design seperti splicing, equalizer, reverb, dan delay diaplikasikan untuk menghasilkan suara yang dinamis dan emosional.Karya ini terbagi menjadi dua bagian: pertama, menggambarkan semangat para pekerja melalui suara ritmis dan ceria; kedua, menciptakan suasana mencekam dari perspektif hewan yang dipotong. Dengan memadukan elemen alami dan teknologi, karya ini tidak hanya menghadirkan pengalaman audio yang mendalam tetapi juga memperkenalkan potensi sound design dalam musik digital kepada masyarakat luas. Selain itu, karya ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi mahasiswa seni musik untuk mengembangkan teknik sound design dalam komposisi multimedia.

Abstract

The sound composition of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang with the Studio One 5 Application is a process of creating musical works using digital technology. This musical composition originates from the activities of the academic community that took place in the environment of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang. The Studio One 5 application is used as a tool to process sounds taken from art education activities, then processed in a demicrophone manner to become a new sound composition. This composition was created with the aim of describing the atmosphere in the environment of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang which is presented through audio sound. The method of creating the sound composition of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang involves modern music production techniques. The stages of creation are by recording audio samples which are then processed through the Studio One 5 application, and given additions such as the use of sound effects, mixing, and digital mastering. After the entire music work is complete, the musical composition that originates from the sounds in the environment of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang then becomes a new musical composition entitled sound design isi padangpanjang.

Abstract

Performing musical compositions from various eras such as classical, modern, Malay, and popular, this violin solo recital presents a blend of interpretation, improvisation, and expressive performance using musical techniques that adhere to conventional principles.The initial preparation for the soloist before the performance includes technical exercises involving both the left and right hand techniques in solo violin playing. Each composition to be performed is analyzed in detail, especially in terms of form and structure. This process is essential for expressing each section of the composition appropriately and in accordance with the composer’s intent, particularly given that the compositions span different musical periods. This performance consists of several repertoires from different eras. The first repertoire originates from the Baroque period, spanning the 16th to 17th century, characterized by clear and structured patterns. This piece is titled Concerto in E Major No.1 "Spring" by composer Antonio Vivaldi, composed in 1725. The second repertoire is My Heart Will Go On, a popular music piece presented in a contemporary style. The third composition is Laila Canggung, created by Hamid and Amardi Raga, which is rooted in Malay cultural tradition and is expressed in accordance with Malay aesthetic values. The performer interprets and expresses each repertoire by applying various techniques such as arpeggio, trill, legato, slur, and slide, aiming to deliver a refined and complete performance.
