Abstract

Communication skills are one of the five standard abilities that students must have. Mathematical communication skills play an important role in learning, such as in solving problems and communicating solutions in various daily activities. The necessity of having these abilities makes researchers aim to analyze the mathematical communication skills of class VIII SMP students on the material Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables. The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The selection of subjects in this research was carried out by purposive sampling at one of the junior high schools in Karawang, namely class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Kotabaru. The types of instruments in this research were tests of mathematical communication skills, and interviews aimed at selected subjects, namely students in the high, medium and low categories. The results of this research show that the communication skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Kotabaru on the material Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables are in the medium category (47.1%) with an average score of 41.75.

Abstract

Teluk Jambe Timur is a village in Karawang Regency, West Java which has a very strategic location. This is a business opportunity for several groups of housewives. The main problem faced by partners is that the marketing process is only based on orders and needs of existing customers, so their business is underdeveloped. The output of the activity is improving skills in information technology such as photo editing using Canva which is needed to beautify the appearance of promotional media. The method used is a training method for optimizing cake production as well as digital marketing training which will be accompanied by the implementing team and students. The essence of the training activity is to generate lots of ideas and then produce new designs that are unique to each product by developing product ideas. The end of the activity resulted in fluency, flexibility, originality and elaborative innovation regarding logos, packaging designs, more attractive promotional media covers which progressively increased before using the Canva application and after attending training of at least 85% to 95%.

Abstract

AbstrakPenerapan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di era Kurikulum Merdeka dalam dunia pendidikan semakin menjadi kebutuhan yang penting, yang menuntut guru dapat menguasai teknologi digital untuk pencapaian pembelajaran efektif. Pelatihan dan pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru madrasah dalam mendesain bahan ajar berbentuk video digital berbasis pembelajaran diferensiasi menggunakan aplikasi canva. Metode yang digunakan adalah mengkolaborasi workshop dan project-based training, dengan tahapan kegiatan meliputi: pemaparan materi pelatihan, melakukan demonstrasi dan praktek, dan evaluasi desain bahan ajar. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak tujuh belas guru MI Nihayatul Amal 2 Purwasari, Kabupaten Karawang. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, dengan rata-rata skor pre-test 53% meningkat menjadi 87% pada post-test. Para guru menghasilkan video pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif, serta menunjukkan antusias yang tinggi selama pelatihan berlangsung. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelatihan ini yakni keterbatasan fitur aplikasi canva yang tidak berbayar dan waktu pelatihan yang terbatas. Namun, kendala ini dapat diatasi melalui diskusi secara online dan memberikan video tutorial. Luaran dari kegiatan PkM ini mencakup peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mendesain bahan ajar digital berupa video pembelajaran yang dapat diakses. Harapan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kualitas pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar siswa, serta mengembangkan kemampuan literasi digital siswa maupun guru. Kata kunci: bahan ajar digital; kompetensi guru; video pembelajaran; pembelajaran diferensiasi. AbstrakThe application of information and communication technology in the era of the independent curriculum in the world of education is increasingly an important need, which requires teachers to be able to master digital technology to achieve effective learning. This training and mentoring aims to improve the competence of madrasah teachers in designing teaching materials in the form of digital videos based on differentiated learning using the Canva application.  The method used is to collaborate on workshops and project-based training, with the stages of activities including presentation of training materials, demonstrations and practices, and evaluation of teaching material design. The training participants were seventeen MI Nihayatul Amal 2 Purwasari, Karawang Regency teachers. This training showed an improvement in teachers' understanding and skills, with an average pre-test score of 53% increasing to 87% on the post-test. The teachers produced interesting and effective learning videos and showed high enthusiasm during the training. The obstacles faced in this training are the limitations of the features of the unpaid Canva application and the limited training time. However, this obstacle can be overcome through online discussions and video tutorials. The outputs of this PkM activity include improving teachers' skills in designing digital teaching materials in the form of accessible learning videos. These activities hope to improve the quality of learning and student learning motivation, as well as develop the digital literacy skills of students and teachers. Keywords: digital teaching materials; teacher competence; learning videos; differentiation learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menelaah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa dengan menggunakan metode lesson study dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian posttes only dengan populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswa salah satu Perguruan Tinggi di Karawang. Instrumen tes mencakup tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis dengan indikator dan variabel yang diukur adalah tingkat kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Data diolah menggunkan Software SPSS versi 22 for Windows, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model lesson study lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung. Jadi dapat disimpulkan model lesson study dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika khususnya mata kuliah matematika ekonomi.

Abstract

Pembelajaran trigonometri di SMK masih terkendala rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, dan keterbatasan media digital interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital “jam sinchan” untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan pemahaman konsep trigonometri siswa SMK program keahlian Teknik Mesin di Kabupaten Karawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE, melibatkan 20 siswa kelas XI. Instrumen penelitian mencakup lembar validasi ahli media dan materi, angket respon siswa, observasi keterlaksanaan, serta tes uraian pemahaman konsep. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media dinyatakan sangat layak dengan skor 96% dari ahli media dan 92% dari ahli materi. Respon siswa juga sangat positif dengan persentase minat belajar 88,33%, kemudahan pemahaman 90%, dan kemudahan penggunaan 76,67%, sehingga total respon mencapai 84,38%. Dengan demikian, media “jam sinchan” terbukti valid, praktis, dan efktif untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan pemahaman konsep trigonometri sekaligus menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan.Trigonometry learning in vocational high schools (SMK) still encounters challenges such as limited conceptual understanding, low learning interest, and the lack of interactive digital media. This study aims to develop a digital learning medium called “Jam Sinchan” to facilitate students’ attainment of conceptual understanding in trigonometry within the Mechanical Engineering program at a vocational high school in Karawang Regency. The research employed a research and development method using the ADDIE model with a sample of 20 eleventh-grade students. The instruments included validation sheets from media and material experts, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and a conceptual understanding test. The validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible, with scores of 96% from media experts and 92% from material experts. Student responses were also highly positive, with percentages of 88.33% for learning interest, 90% for ease of understanding, and 76.67% for ease of use, yielding an overall feasibility score of 84.38%. Thus, “Jam Sinchan” is valid, practical, and effective in supporting students’ conceptual understanding of trigonometry while creating a more engaging learning experience.
