Abstract

IPB CP1 potato is a raw material for potato chips. The advantage of IPB CP1 potatoes is their high yield. Challenges in potato production are limited areas with optimal altitude and condition as well as low quality and quantity of seeds. Utilizing a mid-altitude area for potato cultivation is one of the solutions to increase potato seed production. This study aimed to compare the growth and production of IPB CP1 G0 seed tuber in a greenhouse and screenhouse in mid-altitude with different numbers of shoot cuttings per polybag. This research was conducted with two factors. The first factor is the use of growth plant houses, i.e. greenhouse and screenhouse. The second factor is the number of shoot cuttings per polybag, i.e. 2 and 3 shoot cuttings per polybag. Growth parameters observed included plant height, number of nodes and leaves, and fresh and dry weight of shoots. The production parameters observed included the number as well as fresh and dry weight of tubers. The growth and production of IPB CP1 potatoes grown in the greenhouse were better than those grown in the screenhouse. The number of cuttings per polybag did not affect the growth and production of IPB CP1 potato.

Abstract

Arabic learning conducted at MTsN 3 Ponorogo has several obstacles including writing and sound grammar, so learning Arabic is considered a difficult and boring subject. The problem of sound and writing is a problem that usually arises in learning Arabic for non-Arabs, as well as experienced by class VIII students at MTsN 3 Ponorogo. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that describes Arabic learning activities with the research subjects namely teachers, students and the object of this research is Arabic subjects. The problems of learning Arabic include educator factors, student factors, method factors, media factors and learning evaluation factors. Efforts must be made to include educational training, provide understanding and motivation to students and choose appropriate teaching methods.

Abstract

Sugarcane (Saccharum sp.) is a vital commodity for global sugar production and biomass generation, with sucrose being the primary sugar accumulated predominantly in the stem. The sucrose transporter protein is essential in facilitating sucrose transport across cells and over long distances within plants, from source to sink tissues. This study focused on the cloning and expression analysis of the SoSUT4 gene in the Bululawang sugarcane variety. A partial coding sequence of SoSUT4, comprising 802 nucleotides and encoding a 267-amino acid protein, was successfully cloned and sequenced. Sequence analysis revealed that the SoSUT4 protein shares high similarity with other SUT4 proteins in monocotyledonous plants, particularly with Saccharum spontaneum and Saccharum hybrid. Bioinformatics predictions indicated that the SoSUT4 protein is localized to the plasma membrane and contains six transmembrane helices. Gene expression analysis further demonstrated that SoSUT4 expression was significantly higher in the middle internodes of the stem compared to the youngest midsection of the leaves. This expression pattern correlates with higher sucrose accumulation in the stem, as reflected by elevated Brix levels in the stem (19.61%) compared to the leaves (19.48%). This finding suggests that SoSUT4 is essential for sucrose translocation to the stem, which serves as the primary storage site for sugar. The study provides valuable insights into the SoSUT gene family in sugarcane, particularly highlighting the role of SoSUT4 in sugar transport and accumulation. Future research should further investigate the underlying mechanisms of SoSUT4 and related genes to enhance our understanding of their impact on sugarcane yield, with potential applications for genetic engineering aimed at improving crop productivity. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan kesadaran akan dampak teknologi digital, khususnya di SMP Islam Bahrul Ulum. Dalam era modernisasi, teknologi digital memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tetapi juga menghadirkan tantangan seperti ketergantungan teknologi, ancaman terhadap privasi, penyebaran informasi palsu, serta isu-isu sosial seperti cyberbullying. Rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan siswa, terutama dalam lingkungan berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman, menjadi perhatian utama kegiatan ini. Melalui program seperti pelatihan literasi digital, pendampingan penggunaan teknologi, dan edukasi tentang etika digital berbasis ajaran Islam, siswa diajak untuk memanfaatkan teknologi secara bijak dan bertanggung jawab. Pendekatan ini bertujuan membantu siswa memahami manfaat dan risiko teknologi digital, meningkatkan produktivitas, dan tetap menjaga integritas moral. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan solusi preventif terhadap dampak negatif teknologi, seperti penyebaran hoaks, dengan menanamkan sikap kritis dan etis dalam penggunaan media digital. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu menciptakan individu yang cerdas, adaptif, dan bertanggung jawab dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia digital, sekaligus unggul secara akademik dan berpegang pada nilai-nilai keislaman.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of contributing to the understanding of the role of online zakat and analyzing the influence of online zakat on the efficiency and transparency of zakat fund management at BAZNAS Semarang City in improving the quality of service and encouraging community participation in conducting zakat online. This research uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Data was obtained through interviews with informants at BAZNAS Semarang City, analysis of zakat fund management documents, and observation. The results of this research show that online zakat is 100% efficient as demonstrated by DMU (decision making unit) with a score and benchmark of 1 so that input factors are managed to produce output, namely zakat funds are collected and distributed optimally. Online zakat also increases the transparency of zakat fund management through: Clear Reporting, Accessibility of Information, Clear Use of Funds, Management Efficiency, and Use of Technology that makes it easier for muzaki and mustahik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational administration supervision in improving the quality of school management. The quality of school management is highly dependent on the effectiveness of supervision carried out by the principal, educational supervisor, and administrative staff. In this study, the method used is a literature study, by reviewing various relevant literature, both from books, articles, journals, and policy documents related to educational administration supervision. The analysis was carried out on various theories and practices of supervision related to increasing efficiency, accountability, and transparency in school management. The results of the literature study indicate that educational administration supervision plays an important role in creating an organized and efficient management system, improving managerial quality, and strengthening the capabilities of administrative staff. In addition, challenges identified in the implementation of supervision include the lack of training and professional development for administrative staff, technological limitations, and low levels of collaboration between related parties. As a solution, this study proposes the importance of increasing information technology-based training and developing a data-based and collaborative supervision system to support better school management quality. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective and adaptive educational administration supervision policies and practices

Abstract

Consumption of healthy food has become an essential need in efforts to improve the quality of public health. This training on making healthy burgers using oatmeal was conducted with the aim of providing understanding and skills to the residents of Villa Mas Indah housing complex about healthy food alternatives based on oatmeal. Oatmeal, which is rich in fiber and nutrients, was chosen as the main ingredient in making the burgers as an effort to reduce the consumption of saturated fats and increase daily fiber intake. The training methods included the introduction of oatmeal's benefits, a burger-making demonstration, and interactive sessions for participants. The evaluation results showed that participants experienced a significant increase in knowledge about healthy food and practical skills in preparing healthy meals. This training is expected to contribute to a healthier lifestyle for the community and serve as a model for community-based healthy food development

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate how an augmented reality mobile math trails program can provide opportunities for students to engage in meaningful mathematical modelling activities. An explorative research design was conducted involving two mathematics teachers and 30 eight grades in Semarang, Indonesia. An Augmented Reality Mobile Math Trails App was created, and several math trail tasks were designed, then students run the activity. Data were gathered by means of participatory observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and worksheets. Data analysis began with the organisation, annotation, description of the data and statistic tests. The findings indicate that an educational program was successfully designed, which offered students a meaningful mathematical experience. A mobile app was also developed to support this program. The mobile app with augmented reality features is helpful for students as a tool that bridges the gap between real-world situations and mathematical concepts in problem-solving following the mathematical modelling cycle. The program thus contributes to a higher ability in mathematical modelling. The study identified a link between instrumented techniques in programs and mathematical modelling, as built during the instrumentation process. Further studies are essential for project development and implementation in other cities with different situations and aspects of study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran statistik dalam proses pembuatan kebijakan lingkungan di Indonesia. Statistik dipandang sebagai instrumen penting dalam mengidentifikasi masalah lingkungan, merumuskan kebijakan yang tepat, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas kebijakan yang telah diterapkan. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan observasi terhadap praktik kebijakan lingkungan di berbagai instansi pemerintah dan lembaga terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa statistik berfungsi sebagai dasar faktual dalam mengenali gejala kerusakan lingkungan, menyusun strategi kebijakan berbasis bukti, serta menilai dampak dari kebijakan yang telah diterapkan. Meskipun demikian, terdapat tantangan berupa keterbatasan data, kurangnya kapasitas teknis, serta minimnya integrasi antara data dan pengambilan keputusan. Namun, kemajuan teknologi dan kolaborasi lintas sektor memberikan peluang besar untuk memperkuat peran statistik dalam kebijakan lingkungan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa statistik harus menjadi pondasi utama dalam setiap tahap siklus kebijakan lingkungan untuk mewujudkan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi yang diajukan meliputi penguatan sistem data lingkungan, peningkatan kompetensi SDM, dan integrasi sistem statistik dalam perencanaan kebijakan publik.

Abstract

Pemilihan layanan cloud hosting memerlukan proses evaluasi yang objektif karena setiap penyedia menawarkan karakteristik teknis dan harga yang beragam. Penggunaan pendekatan multikriteria menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi kompleksitas tersebut, terutama ketika melibatkan banyak alternatif dan kriteria yang memiliki tingkat kepentingan berbeda. Sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) berbasis antarmuka grafis dibangun menggunakan Python dan pustaka Tkinter untuk memberikan kemudahan dalam perhitungan dan visualisasi hasil. Tiga metode pengambilan keputusan diterapkan dalam sistem ini, yaitu Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), Weighted Product (WP), dan Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Pengujian dilakukan dengan tiga alternatif layanan cloud hosting: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), dan Azure, serta menggunakan kriteria harga, uptime, dan kecepatan akses. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa GCP consistently menempati peringkat tertinggi pada ketiga metode. Konsistensi hasil dari ketiga metode menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu menghasilkan keputusan yang selaras dan dapat dijadikan acuan validasi silang. Sistem ini memungkinkan proses evaluasi alternatif layanan cloud dilakukan secara cepat, transparan, dan terukur melalui pendekatan matematis yang terstruktur.
