Abstract

 Abstrak Minyak goreng yang digunakan secara berulang pada temperatur tinggi akan menyebabkan penurunan mutu dan nilai gizi pada makanan yang digoreng. Penggunakan minyak secara berulang juga akan berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan. Perbaikan kualitas minyak goreng dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara sehingga minyak dapat digunakan kembali secara aman. Perbaikan kualitas dapat dilakukan dengan cara pemurnian dengan menggunakan sejumlah adsorben. Pemurnian minyak goreng bekas secara adsorpsi menggunakan berbagai adsorben dengan berbagai variasi suhu dan waktu kontak telah dipelajari. Proses adsorpsi dilakukan pada minyak goreng bekas yang dikontakkan dengan sejumlah adsorben. Mahalnya harga adsorben kimia membuat para peneliti mengembangkan adsorben alami yang berasal dari limbah pertanian. Terdapat beberapa limbah pertanian yang memiliki potensi sebagai adsorben. Limbah pertanian yang dapat digunakan sebagai adsorben dalam adsorpsi minyak goreng bekas yaitu seperti karbon aktif dari tempurung kelapa, karbon aktif dari tandan kosong kelapa sawit, karbon aktif dari kulit sukun, bentonit, mengkudu, arang aktif dari kulit pisang kepok, arang aktif dari biji kelor, arang aktif biji salak, arang aktif dari ampas tebu, adsorben dari pati aren, dan biji alpukat. Kapasitas adsorpsi dari beberapa jenis adsorben berbeda-beda bergantung pada struktur, konsentrasi adsorbat, jumlah adsorben, tingkat keasaman, kondisi operasi, dan waktu kontak.

Abstract

Abstract. This longitudinal study aims to seek for solutions concerning the teaching and learning English at the Faculty of Medicine University of Mataram (UNRAM). The first year of the study is emphasized on the outcomes of needs analysis, which encompasses the Present Situation Analysis (PSA), the Target Situation Analysis (TSA), and the Learning Situation Analysis (LSA). Various data were collected form the documents of Standar Kompetensi Dokter Indonesia (SKDI) a.k.a. Competency Standards of Medical Doctors in Indonesia, the Graduates Profile of Faculty of Medicine UNRAM and the documents of student English proficiency levels within the last 5 years. Other sources of data were taken from a number of focused group discussions and in-depth interviews with students, alumni, subject specialists, management of Block, and various techniques. The data were then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. Findings of the study show that the level of English of students at Medical Faculty was still far from being adequate to meet the SKDI. As such, three learning goals were generated from this study, i.e. the short-tem, mid-term, and long-term goals. The study suggests that to bridge the gap, the Faculty of Medicine needs to develop a number of language programs to prepare these students to achieve competencies that meet the standard of Graduate Profile and SKDI.

Abstract

This research concerns how Pancasila Student Profile character education policy is implemented in the practice of teaching English at Junior High School 5 Kopang and how the characteristics/figures of character education are integrated and what problems teachers have been facing. The qualitative descriptive approach for this study was achieved by observation, interviews, and questionnaires with the full implementation picture. Some key findings from the study include the elements of the vital Pancasila student profile fitting the British teacher practice-namely, faith and devotion to God, noble character, cooperation, and independence. Therefore, it will definitely make a contribution to implementing curricular studies that incorporate these values, which in turn make sure of the wholistic development in students in relation to Pancasila principles. On the other hand, major challenges singled out to the effective implementation of those attributes for character education include newness of curricula, lack of enough training, and diversity among the students. Teachers are still internalizing the content of the curriculum, for example, at the same time, necessary training is still to be delivered. Moreover, the heterogeneous experiences of students and value learned make it more complicated to implement it. This sucks the success and difficulties right from the professors hence giving a reflection on what works and what does not work in explicit strategies. These results contributed to an increase in character education policy and practice in Indonesian schools so that these types of initiatives could be implemented and maintained more effectively. In the final analysis, these researches will help the researchers form a student with integral personalities with the values of Pancasila that can provide benefits for the society.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the leadership style and communication patterns of school principals regarding teacher discipline at SMPN 2 Labuapi, West Lombok Regency. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a focus on in-depth analysis of the dynamics of the school principal's leadership and communication style in realizing teacher discipline. Initial observation results show a lack of teacher discipline in terms of time and performance, which is likely influenced by a lack of understanding of discipline. Therefore, this research will focus on the principal's leadership style and communication patterns, as well as the factors that influence teacher discipline at SMPN 2 Labuapi. The research was conducted for three months, from December 2023 to February 2024, at SMPN 2 Labuapi. The selection of this location was based on indications of a lack of discipline among teachers. This research uses a case study method to explore and analyze field data to understand the planning, implementation and control of the school principal's leadership style program and communication patterns in realizing teacher discipline in the school. The research results show that the school principal has implemented a democratic leadership style, strengthened disciplinary rules, and introduced faith-based programs. The principal's strategy for improving teacher discipline includes implementing rules of conduct, supervision, as well as rewards and punishment. Obstacles faced include differences in teacher character and participation, as well as the long distance from the teacher's home. From the results of this research, it is concluded that democratic leadership has been effective in realizing teacher discipline at SMPN 2 Labuapi. Recommendations given include maintaining a democratic leadership style, improving communication patterns, and understanding teacher characteristics to be more effective in managing discipline. It is hoped that further research can explore other factors that influence teacher discipline to provide a deeper understanding. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan dan pola komunikasi kepala sekolah terhadap kedisiplinan guru di SMPN 2 Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan fokus pada analisis mendalam terhadap dinamika gaya kepemimpinan dan komunikasi kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan kedisiplinan guru. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan kurangnya kedisiplinan guru dalam hal waktu dan kinerja, yang kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya pemahaman terhadap disiplin. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan fokus pada gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan pola komunikasinya, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kedisiplinan guru di SMPN 2 Labuapi. Penelitian dilakukan selama tiga bulan, dari Desember 2023 hingga Februari 2024, di SMPN 2 Labuapi. Kepemilihan lokasi ini didasarkan pada adanya indikasi kurangnya disiplin di kalangan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus untuk menggali dan menganalisis data lapangan guna memahami perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengendalian program gaya kepemimpinan dan pola komunikasi kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan kedisiplinan guru di sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah telah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, menguatkan aturan disiplin, dan memperkenalkan program-program berbasis keimanan. Strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru meliputi penerapan aturan tata tertib, supervisi, serta reward dan punishment. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi perbedaan karakter dan partisipasi guru, serta jarak rumah guru yang jauh. Dari hasil penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan yang demokratis telah efektif dalam mewujudkan kedisiplinan guru di SMPN 2 Labuapi. Rekomendasi yang diberikan termasuk mempertahankan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, meningkatkan pola komunikasi, serta memahami karakteristik guru untuk lebih efektif dalam mengelola kedisiplinan. Penelitian lebih lanjut diharapkan dapat menggali faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kedisiplinan guru untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam.

Abstract

Sekolah adalah sebuah lembaga yang dirancang untuk pengajaran di bawah pengawasan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan Pengawasan Akademik di Kabupten Lombok Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara kualitatif, dengan data yang diambil melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Adapun analisis data dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan venfikasi data. Sedangkan Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan uji kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas dan kompirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Pelaksanaan Pengawasan Akademik di Kabupten Lombok Barat dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu: 1) perencanaan, meliputi penyusunan program dan penyiapan instrument; 2) pelaksanaan pengawasan akademik berjalan dengan baik dan lancar harus dengan tahapan: a) menyusun jadwal pelaksanaan, b) melakukan koordinasi kesepakatan dengan guru, c) melaksanakan pengawasan sesuai prosedur, prinsip-prinsip pengawasan, pendekatan, teknik dan jadwal, d) menganalaisis hasil pengawasan dan e) menyusun laporan; 3) evaluasi: kegiatan yang dilakukan pengawas dalam rangka penilaian terhadap kemajuan yang dimiliki guru dan untuk menilai kinerja guru atau menilai keberhasilan guru dalam mengajar Sedangkan kendala pelaksanaan kegiatan pengawasan Akademik. a) Jumlah pengawas yang tidak sebanding dengan sekolah dan guru binaannya. b) Kurangnya kesiapan guru untuk disupervisi. c) Kurangnya Intensitas supervisi kelas. d) Proses pembelajaran belum sesuai dengan RPP yang dibuat.  Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, dan tindak lanjut supervisi akademik oleh Pengawas Pendidikan di Kabupaten Lombok Barat sudah mengikuti kaidah dan sesuai dengan teori yang ada, terbukti pengawas Pendidikan melaksanakan rapat persiapan, membentuk tim supervisi, membuat jadwal pelaksanaan supervisi dan menetapkan instrument supervisi yang digunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form, meaning and perception of the community related to taboo things or expressions in Muncan Village. This research is an ethnography research using descriptive qualitative method design. The sample of this research is 10 people of Muncan Village from experts in culture to ordinary people. The data collection process in this research is by using observation and interview. In the process of analyzing the data is done by identifying, classifying, and explaining the meaning and perception of the community. The results of this study show that there are 57 taboos believed by the community. Therefore, it can be concluded that the people of Muncan Village still believe in many taboo things or expressions that they should not violate or do. In other words, taboo expressions and things in today's modern era are still believed to be things that should not be said or done in Muncan Village.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal employee performance on the effectiveness of the 5 working day policy in improving the implementation of the Minimum Service Standards at the Mataram City Education Office and to explain the factors inhibiting the implementation of 5 working days in relation to the achievement of Minimum Service Standards at the Mataram City Education Office. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This research was conducted at the Mataram City Education Office. Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses three activity lines, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Validity data using analysis techniques of credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study indicate that the five-day work policy, both regarding the use of time and work discipline, work intensity, work initiative, and work atmosphere in the five working day policy collectively contributes positively to the work productivity of the Mataram City national education office employees. Employees feel happy with the policies implemented by the Education Office so that employee performance can increase towards achieving minimum service standards.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by school principals under the auspices of the foundation is that there is a dual leadership between the head of the foundation and the headmaster which causes administrative activities to be hampered so that the process of improving the quality of education in educational units led by the principal is hampered. The purpose of this study is to describe the principal's leadership style in carrying out his role as managerial. This research was conducted at Tegar Kelana West Lombok High School.This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of grounded theory. Data and data sources used are primary and secondary data with purposive sampling techniques, while for data collection using interviews, documentation and triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses the interactive model (interactive mode). This study describes the principal's leadership style and its impact on the management of Tegar Kelana High School principals, which refers to Permendiknas No. 19 of 2007 concerning Education Management Standards by the Primary and Secondary Education Unit and National Education Minister's Regulation no. 13 of 2007 and No. 28 of 2010 concerning Managerial Principals. The results of the study illustrate the leadership style of principals who tend to use selling styles and participating styles, which have an impact on less effective school management

Abstract

This research aims to find out motivational factors contributing the students’ participation in the English learning programs at MTs Putri Nurul Haramain Islamic Boarding School Narmada. This is a case study research using descriptive qualitative design. The participants of this research were 10 students at Cambridge class of MTs Putri Nurul Haramain Narmada. The instruments were observation, and interview. The data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that there are five factors motivated the students in learning English at Learning English Programs which are teachers, activities and material, relevance, feedback, and classroom environment. In addition, the contribution of programs to the students’ motivation are have different perception on the students, Madani Super Camp is has a good contribution on the students’ perception, English Day is has good contribution on the students’ motivation and learning English in the classroom is not good has contribution on the students’ motivation in learning English at English Learning Programs.

Abstract

This study explores the linguistic barriers faced by street vendors in Kuta Mandalika, a popular tourist destination in Indonesia, and their impact on communication, job performance, and customer satisfaction. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, the research subject is 13 street vendors who has an ability to communicate with foreign customer, the research involved semi-structured interviews and observations of street vendors who interact regularly with international tourists, the data analysis will be conducting thematic analysis to analyze the data. The findings highlight several major challenges, including difficulties in understanding foreign accents, limited English vocabulary, pronunciation issues, and reliance on non-verbal communication. The noisy environment where vendors operate further complicates these communication barriers. These linguistic challenges lead to frequent misunderstandings, incorrect orders, and customer dissatisfaction, significantly affecting the vendors' business performance and customer relations. This research is rarely talked by researcher as in the previous study the researcher is focusing on semantic area but that’s quite too deep to learn by street vendors and an English beginner, this approach will contribute to the overall economic vitality of the Mandalika region, benefiting both vendors and the local community.
