Abstract

Literasi sains merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap apa yang mereka pelajari terutama biologi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model projectbased learning terhadap literasi sains siswa biologi kelas X SMAN 7 Mataram. Metode quasi eksperimen dan Nonrandomaized Control Group Desigin digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas X SMAN 7 Mataram dan random sampling sebagai tehnik pengambilan sampel sehingga diperoleh empat kelas sebagai sampel dengan rincian kelas XG dan XF sebagai kelompok eksperimen sedangkan XK dan XL sebagai kelompok kontrol.  Intrumen yang digunakan ialah Questioning Skills, pengumpulan data literasi sains siswa dilakukan dengan pemberian soal pilihan ganda (multiple choice) kemudian dianalisis dengan anacova (analysis of covariance) pada taraf signifikasi 5% menggunakan program SPSS 21. Hasil uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan bertanya siswa biologi kelas X SMAN 7 Mataram.

Abstract

Beetles exhibit unique shapes and color variations and play important ecological roles in the environment. Suranadi Nature Tourism Park (TWA Suranadi), a nature-based tourism area, has the potential presence of beautiful beetles. This study aims to examine the diversity of beautiful beetles in TWA Suranadi to support its tourism appeal. Sampling was conducted in May 2024 by surveying predetermined paths. The beetles collected were identified using identification books, relevant articles, and taxonomic name verification through websites. Thirteen species were identified, belonging to six families (Cerambycidae; Chrysomelidae, Erotylidae, Eucnemidae, Hydrophilidae, Scarabaeidae). The Chrysomelidae and Scarabaeidae families were species-rich and exhibited diverse shapes and colors. Beetles found along the forest edge path showed greater diversity (H’=2.3842) compared to the other two paths, namely the water path (H’=2.2893) and the middle path (H’=1.9804). The diversity (H’) of beautiful beetles in TWA Suranadi was 2.3532.

Abstract

Pendidikan lingkungan hidup memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang peduli terhadap alam. Artikel ini membahas implementasi kegiatan pendampingan pemberian nama ilmiah pada tumbuhan di lingkungan SMPN 17 Mataram sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan tumbuhan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar, khususnya dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA). Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis masalah, observasi, pendataan tanaman, identifikasi nama ilmiah melalui referensi ilmiah, pelabelan tanaman, serta refleksi siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 20 jenis pohon berhasil diidentifikasi dan dilabeli, seperti Mangifera indica dan Swietenia macrophylla. Proses ini meningkatkan literasi sains, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan kesadaran ekologis siswa. Pemasangan label tanaman tidak hanya memperkaya sumber belajar kontekstual, tetapi juga mendukung pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini dinilai efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang cinta lingkungan, serta berpotensi menjadi program unggulan sekolah berbasis konservasi dan pendidikan ekologis.

Abstract

The learning of Basic Natural Sciences is still dominated by conventional discussion methods and one-way communication. The aim of this study is to fill a gap in the literature by examining the relationship between learning motivation and students' critical thinking skills in Basic Natural Sciences courses using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. The study employs a correlational research method. Learning motivation is measured using the Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction (ARCS) motivation questionnaire. Critical thinking skills are assessed through a test with indicators such as evaluating evidence, analyzing arguments, understanding implications and consequences, developing sound arguments, and understanding causation. Data analysis used in this research includes correlation analysis and regression analysis. The research results indicate a relationship between learning motivation and critical thinking skills. The correlation coefficient (r) value between learning motivation and critical thinking skills is 0.823, indicating a strong/high correlation. The relationship between learning motivation and critical thinking skills is positive. The coefficient of determination (r²) is 0.677 (67.7%), which means that 67.7% of the variability in critical thinking skills can be explained by learning motivation. The regression significance value confirms that the regression line equation can be used for predictions. The regression line equation for the relationship between learning motivation and critical thinking skills within the PBL model is .

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the questioning skills of Biology Education students based on different academic abilities and their correlation with metacognitive skills. This study employs a mixed methods design. The sample in the study consists of biology education students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram. The instruments used in this research include the Questioning Skills Instrument and an Achievement test to measure metacognitive skills. The data analysis used in this research includes descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (correlation and regression). The results of the qualitative analysis using descriptive statistics show that the questioning skills of students with low academic performance mostly remain at level C2 (comprehension questions), comprising 58% of the questions, and C1 (recall questions), comprising 38% of the questions. A small proportion were able to formulate questions at level C3 (application questions), comprising 15% of the questions, and only 1% were able to formulate questions at level C4 (analysis questions). For students with high academic performance, most of the questioning skills were at level C3 (application questions), comprising 36.67% of the questions, and C2 (comprehension questions), comprising 35.56% of the questions. Additionally, 18.89% of the questions reached level C4 (analysis questions), and 3.33% reached level C5 (evaluation questions). Only a small proportion formulated questions at level C1 (recall questions), comprising 1.11% of the questions. The analysis of the relationship between questioning skills and metacognitive skills indicates that there is a relationship between students' questioning skills and metacognitive skills when using the Reading Concept Mapping-Reciprocal Teaching (ReMap-RT) learning model, with a correlation coefficient of 0.868 (high). The direction of the relationship between questioning skills and metacognitive skills is positive. The coefficient of determination (r²) is 0.754, which explains that the variability in students' metacognitive skills is determined by 75.4% of the questioning skills. The significance value of this regression is also used to determine whether the regression equation can be used for prediction. If the significance value of the regression is less than the determined significance level, then the regression equation can be used for prediction. Based on the analysis results, the regression significance value is 0.00 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the regression equation can also be used for prediction. The regression equation for the relationship between questioning skills and metacognitive skills of students using the Reading Concept Mapping-Reciprocal Teaching (ReMap-RT) learning model is Ŷ = 38.791 + 3.185X.

Abstract

Pengembangan literasi biologi dan minat wirausaha siswa sekolah di sekitar ekowisata Bagek Kembar diperlukan untuk menguatkan peluang mereka mengambil manfaat dari pengembangan kawasan ekowisata. Tujuan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMAN 1 Sekotong adalah memberikan penyuluhan pada guru mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis proyek biopreneurship untuk meningkatkan literasi biologi dan minat wirausaha siswa. Pengabdian masyarakat di SMAN 1 Sekotong Lombok dilakukan dengan tahapan mulai dari persiapan, pra-pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan pengabdian di sekolah mitra, dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan pendampingan guru mitra mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis proyek biopreneurship. Evaluasi pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui pengamatan kegiatan guru selama pengabdian, wawancara dan pengisian angket untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang respons guru tentang manfaat pelatihan. Peserta pengabdian terdiri 30 Guru SMAN 1 Sekotong. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan 75% guru aktif dalam diskusi, bahan ajar biopreneurship yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan proyek dengan memanfaatkan tumbuhan dan hewan di sekitar Kawasan Ekowisata Bagek Kembar selaras dengan penerapan project konservasi mangrove, yang dilaksanakan oleh siswa pramuka dan siswa kelas alam SMAN 1 Sekotong. Saran dari peserta untuk kegiatan pengabdian selanjutnya adalah adanya program untuk meningkatkan numerasi dan literasi dengan memanfaatkan Ekowisata Bagek Kembar sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems harbor diverse microorganisms with important ecological and biotechnological roles. Actinobacteria, in particular, are well known as producers of bioactive compounds and potential biocontrol agents against plant pathogens, making their exploration relevant for sustainable agriculture. This study aimed to isolate and characterize Actinobacteria from the rhizosphere of mangroves in Bagek Kembar, West Lombok, and to evaluate their antagonistic potential against Ralstonia solanaciearum, plant disease agent. Soil samples were collected using a quadrant method, while environmental parameters such as pH, temperature, humidity, and salinity were measured to assess habitat suitability. Actinobacteria were isolated and identified through Gram staining and morphological observation, their abundance was calculated using the Total Plate Count method, and antagonistic activity was tested using the agar well diffusion assay. The results showed that soil pH was relatively neutral, with temperature and salinity suitable for Actinobacteria growth. Five isolates (ACT R1–R5) were obtained, all Gram-positive with filamentous hyphae-like morphology. Total Plate Count analysis indicated high abundance (3.2 × 105), although the diversity of isolates recovered was relatively low. Antagonistic assays revealed that ACT R2 and ACT R4 moderate inhibitory effect, and ACT R1, ACT R3, and ACT R5 weak. Overall, these findings demonstrate that mangrove rhizospheres in West Lombok are a promising source of Actinobacteria with significant potential as environmentally friendly biocontrol agents

Samtodenis or the abbreviation for Sweet Spicy Tongkol Sambalis a PKM-K product made by students withmade from chili sauce and tuna which has a distinctive aromaa combination of selected spices and without the use of ingredientspreservative. The aim of this PKM-K samtodenis is to find outmanufacturing process, marketing process, development method as wellfind out the benefits of sweet and spicy tuna chili sauce on an ongoing basis.The method for making samtodenis starts from the process of cleaning the fishcob, chili sauce preparation process, processing process andpackaging of cob chili sauce to the marketing process. OpportunitySamtodenis marketing starts with boarding house children, housewives andIt can be consumed by everyone from children to the elderlyMarketing strategies are carried out using a sales marketing systemdirect and indirect sales. Results from promotions andmarketing carried out, the PKM-K team succeeded in selling the productas many as 238 bottles with 7 production times over 2 months andget income of IDR 3,570,000 so the total profit isobtained is IDR 770,000. Based on cash flow analysisfor 2 years, the NPV value of "SAMTODENIS" production was obtained for2 year period with a value of IDR 12,433,563,635. The NPV valueshows that this business is worth implementing and continuing.

Abstract

Fish is a food source of animal protein needed by humans. Every year the need for this protein source continues to increase along with the growth of the world population. With the increasing production and demand for fish, post-harvest handling is needed, namely preservation. One of the easiest ways of preserving is by salting or commonly known as salted fish. The high level of public consumption of salted fish and the potential for development as a local food product. SAMBAJO is here as an innovation in the culinary field and to improve the creative economy. This product is a typical Sasak chili sauce mixed with salted fish or bajo in Sasak language. This product produced by PKM-Kewirausahaan has advantages compared to products already on the market, namely using typical Sasak chili sauce which has the potential to be popular with the local community. Sambajo started production on November 7 2023 and was marketed on November 13 2023. We adjusted 20 bottles of this production of chili sauce once in this initial stage according to the sales location and according to consumer orders and sold it at a price of IDR. 15,000.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar yang relevan dengan pengembangan Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Mandalika masih minim dilakukan di KEK Mandalika. Bahan ajar yang telah digunakan berupa buku paket yang disediakan oleh sekolah, namun bahan ajar yang memfasilitasi siswa belajar secara mandiri dan berorientasi pada pengembangan kewirausahaan belum tersedia. Tujuan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan penyuluhan guru mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis proyek biopreneurship. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di SMPN 1 Pujut sebagai sampel SMP di KEK Mandalika Lombok dengan tahapan kegiatan mulai dari persiapan, pra-pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pelaksanaan di sekolah mitra, dilakukan penyuluhan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis proyek biopreneurship. Pelaksanaan penyuluhan dilakukan bulan Agustus 2024, diikuti oleh 20 orang guru SMPN 1 dan SMPN 7 Pujut. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, dan diskusi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa guru sekolah mitra sebelumnya menggunakan buku cetak yang disediakan sekolah, namun buku tersebut belum sepenuhnya relevan dengan kegiatan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) terutama pada tema kewirausahaan sehingga guru harus menambahkan sumber bacaan lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah memberikan guru pengetahuan tentang tahapan pengembangan bahan ajar IPA berbasis proyek biopreneurship yang mendukung penerapan kegiatan P5 Kurikulum Merdeka. Kesimpulannya adalah pelaksanaan pengabdian memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan guru membuat bahan ajar IPA berbasis proyek biopreneurship yang relevan dengan kegiatan P5 pada tema gotong royong, berpikir kritis, kreatif dan kewirausahaan.
