Abstract

Muhammad Iqbal is a modern Muslim philosopher-poet who, conceptually and philosophically, does not have a detailed formulation of Islamic educational concepts. However, implicitly, based on his fundamental views on humanity, particularly his philosophical thoughts on the ego, a dynamic, innovative, and vitalistic concept of Islamic educational thought can be reconstructed. The genealogy of Islamic educational values in Iqbal's philosophical thought is rooted in his ideas about humanity, especially his perspective on the story of Adam, the concept of ego, and the perfect human (insan kamil). Based on this, fundamental issues in humanities studies related to education can be identified: innate potential, freedom, and the essence of humanity. The construction of Islamic educational values in Muhammad Iqbal's philosophical thought includes: values of monotheistic education, values of moral education, values of rational education (intelligence), and values of social education. All of these educational values also originate from Iqbal's view of the liberated ego, constantly progressing towards perfection, which is Allah SWT. Keywords:  Values; Islamic Education; Philosophical Thought; Iqbal.

Abstract

Motorcycle riders have a high rate of death and severe injury. Traffic accidents can cause blunt trauma. In this case report, authors present cases of accidents with findings of facial trauma to the forehead, nose, cheeks, and multiple fractures of the maxilla and mandible due to a hard object impact. High-speed crashes are common in polytraumatized motorcycle crashes and often display facial injuries. If regarded from the biomechanics of trauma, there is a suspicion that the victim was wearing a helmet, with direct face trauma shown by minimal abrasions on the victim's face and more bruises instead. The woman was suspected of riding the motorcycle at high speed, with her face directly hitting a blunt object. DOI : 10.54052/jhds.v4n1.p25-34

Abstract

In ecotourism areas, tourist activities are always a source of waste generation. Tourist visits can have a positive impact on the community's economy, but they also have a negative impact, namely increased waste generation. The Lembar Selatan Mangrove Ecotourism Area is an ecotourism destination in West Lombok which attracts more and more visitors from year to year. The increase in the number of visitors causes an increase in waste generation in tourist areas. Some rubbish is still dumped in mangrove forests, so a lot of rubbish is found in mangrove forests which are ecotourism objects. Integrated waste management is needed, especially through empowering local communities to overcome the problem of waste generation in the area. For this reason, socialization of waste processing into eco-enzyme products for the community was carried out with the aim of increasing awareness and economic independence of the community in managing waste. This socialization was carried out using lecture methods, demonstrations, focus group discussions and practice with female food traders who are members of the UMKM group and members of POKDARWIS of The Lembar Selatan Village as the target audience. The results show that the participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity, causing their awareness, knowledge and skills to increase, especially regarding integrated waste management and processing organic waste into eco-enzyme products. It is hoped that the results of this activity will further increase the village's economic independence in managing waste in the Ecotourism Area of Lembar Selatan.

Abstract

Student work practice has been carried out at West Sumbawa PLTU with the aim of transferring knowledge and work experience to students, especially regarding processing FABA waste into briquettes as an effort to reduce environmental pollution. Work practice was done using a direct practice method accompanied by a supervisor from the West Sumbawa PLTU and guided by lecturers from the Environmental Science Study Program Mataram University. The results show that after following the work practice, students know how to process FABA waste into briquettes, experiment with the use and examine briquette biomass. Making briquettes begins with grinding corn cobs, sawdust and FABA waste, then continues with sieving until a uniform flour particle size is obtained, continuing to mix with tapioca flour (as an adhesive) and water until a paste is obtained, molding until a certain shape and size is obtained and drying until the briquettes are as received (AR) and dry basis (DB). The experimental results show that the use of 50 to 100% briquettes can effectively replace coal with the PLTU load remaining stable at 6000 kW. Briquettes in AR condition contain 15.85% total water, 12.67% ash, 43.97% volatile matter, 27.53 fixed carbon, 0.10% total sulfur, and a rough calorific value of 4039 Kcal/kg. In DB conditions, briquettes contain 15.05% ash, 52.24% volatile matter, 32.71% fixed carbon, 0.11% total sulfur, and a calorific value of 4799 Kcal/kg. This information is important for evaluating fuel performance, energy efficiency and emissions from briquette application in steam power plants.

Abstract

The Sekotong area has natural charm and potential mining. This area is one of the preferred destinations for visits by local and foreign tourists. However, apart from that, the Sekotong area is also famous as a community gold mining area. Mining activities carried out still use traditional methods, which are very far from environmentally friendly principles, so they can have impacts, including causing a decrease in the quality of residential well water. This research was conducted to determine the water quality of residential wells around community gold mining in the tourist area of Dusun Selindungan Eleven well water samples were taken using a purposive sampling method based on the distance of the well to the source of gold mining waste disposal and are still used by residents to meet their daily needs. Physical, chemical and biological water quality parameters of water samples were investigated in the laboratory, except temperature and pH were measured directly in the field. Data for each water quality variable was analyzed to determine the pollution index. The results show that DO, TDS, content of phosphate, E. Coli bacteria and total coliforms in well water from the study area generally exceed quality standardsWell water in an area that is a different distance from the people's gold mining waste disposal site has each been contaminated with manganese and mercury, although it is still below quality standards.

Abstract

Flooding is the inundation of a flat area as a result of overflowing water from the surrounding area or an overflowing river. The largest river that crosses West Lombok Regency is the Meninting River. The Meninting watershed area as a catchment area has an area of 12,307.75 hectares. This research aims to identify and map flood-vulnerability areas in the Meninting Watershed. Data collection was carried out through a geographic information system (GIS) using overlay and scoring methods. The variables used to assess the level of flood vulnerability were land slope, soil type, rainfall, land cover, and geological aspects. The level of flood vulnerability is divided into three classes, namely not vulnerable, moderately vulnerable, and very vulnerable. The results show that of the 41 villages/sub-districts in the Meninting watershed, 34 villages/urban- villages with a coverage area of 8.21% were very vulnerable to flooding. The four villages that have the largest flood-vulnerable areas were the villages of North Ampenan (120.16 hectares), Midang (87.43 hectares), Dasan Griya (79.68 hectares), and Sesela (77.32 hectares). Around 56.24% of all villages/urban villages in the Meninting watershed were quite vulnerable to flooding and 35.55% of the area was not vulnerable.
