Abstract

Inflation is a crucial economic indicator that significantly impacts investment decisions. In Indonesia, inflation has shown substantial fluctuations due to factors such as global commodity prices, monetary policy, and domestic demand. This study aims to analyze the impact of high inflation on present value (PV) calculations in investment contexts, particularly in long-term projects. Present value, a method for assessing future cash flows based on their current value, is influenced by the discount rate, which tends to rise with inflation. Using data from 20152023, this research compares two inflation scenarios (1.56% and 6.38%) and calculates the PV of an investment with a future value of IDR 1,000,000 over 5 years. The results show a significant decrease in PV under high inflation, from IDR 925,497 to IDR 733,999, indicating that inflation erodes the purchasing power of future cash flows. Furthermore, the analysis highlights the more significant impact of inflation on sectors with higher cash flow projections, such as infrastructure. The study underscores the need for investors to consider inflation when making investment decisions to manage risks and maximize returns.

Abstract

Abstract

The application of halal principles in the selection of bone graft materials remains insufficiently studied. In Indonesia, it is essential to meet technological and ethical standards. In Indonesia, no organized framework currently exists to assess the halal criticality of commercially available bone graft products. This study aims to examine the potential presence of halal-critical materials in dental bone grafts available in the Indonesian market. An observational descriptive study was conducted on 16 commercial dental bone graft products classified into five categories: allografts, xenografts, alloplasts, growth factors, and composite grafts. Product compositions were identified using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) numbers, and manufacturer disclosures, and evaluated against the Halal Positive List issued by LPPOM MUI. The results showed that alloplasts exhibited the lowest halal criticality, as they consist solely of synthetic, non-animal, and non-human materials. Conversely, xenografts and allografts showed a higher halal risk due to animal- and human-derived components, whereas growth factors and composite grafts showed variable risk profiles. This study provides a material-based halal criticality analysis to support clinical decision-making and accentuates the requirement for clearer halal regulatory guidance for dental biomaterials in Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract

Murajaah is an essential activity in maintaining the quality of Qur’anic memorization among students. However, in practice, students’ motivation to engage in murajaah often declines due to monotonous methods and a strong dependence on teacher guidance. This condition highlights the need for instructional innovation through the integration of digital technology. This study aims to describe the use of the Tarteel application in motivating murajaah activities among eleventh-grade Madrasah Aliyah students. This study employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research participants were eleventh-grade students enrolled in a Qur’anic murajaah program at a Madrasah Aliyah. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over a two-week implementation period. Qualitative data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that during the initial stage of using the Tarteel application, students began to show interest in technology-based learning media, particularly due to the immediate feedback features on recitation errors. However, this initial interest did not lead to a significant improvement in students’ motivation for murajaah. In the subsequent stage, although the use of the application was implemented in a more structured and scheduled manner, students’ murajaah motivation remained relatively stable. There were no substantial changes in the frequency of murajaah, recitation quality, self-confidence, or daily murajaah habits. Students continued to feel more comfortable submitting their recitation directly to teachers rather than using the application. In conclusion, the Tarteel application functions as a technical support tool in murajaah activities but has not been able to significantly enhance students’ murajaah motivation without stronger pedagogical strategies and sustained teacher guidance.
