Abstract

Register is a variety of languages ​​used based on usage, such as online game players who have certain types and functions of registers that distinguish the gamers profession from other professions. Mobile legends is an online game that is played in groups. In a Mobile Legends tournament, not only players are involved in a match but there will also be commentators who will guide and provide comments on the match. The purpose of this study is to analyze the form of the Register Language used by the Mobile Legends game commentator in the MPL season 5 tournament. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was done by observing the data by replaying the MPL season 5 grand final video many times, then transcribing the video script based on the expressions used and matching the script directly. The data analysis carried out consisted of three processes, namely data selection, data processing, and conclusions. The results of this study found that there was a use of register language that came from a foreign language, namely English which was used by Mobile Legends commentators such as the words first blood, retreat, recall, and play off.

Abstract

This research study investigates students’ perception of using the Scavenger Hunt game to understand the social context of second language acquisition. The participant of this research was 12 undergraduate students in the 5th semester. The data were collected from questionnaires, documentation, and interview. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. This study revealed that Scavenger Hunt is an exciting way to understand the social context of Second Language Acquisition because the students experienced directly and what they did were examples of some issues in learning the social context of Second Language Acquisition (SLA). Teachers and lecturers should consider the integration of Scavenger Hunt and specific topics with some adaptation to make the activity effective in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of Jigsaw technique in teaching reading. This study used an experimental design. The population of the research was 29 students and the sample was taken 29 students from all of the population. To take the sample the present researcher used purposive sampling technique. In collecting data, the present researcher used instrument to measure students’ effectiveness of Jigsaw Technique in reading. To analyze data, the present researcher used paired-samples t-test to find out the effectiveness of the technique. The result of data analysis that there was a significant difference in the scores between the pre-test and the post-test, was significance at p = 0.000, meaning that the null hypothesis is rejected (Ho) and alternative hypothesis is accepted (Ha).It means that there was a significant effectiveness of Jigsaw Technique in teaching reading for the tenth graders of MA NW Sikur in the academic year 2023-2024.

Abstract

The Audiolingual Method is a language teaching approach that emphasizes habit formation through repeated practice and positive reinforcement. The main aim of this service activity is to assist and introduce teachers to the audio-lingual method which can form students' correct language habits through intensive repetition of language patterns. In practice, teaching with this method begins with listening and speaking exercises before reading and writing. Applying this method requires students to memorize dialogue, imitate intonation and pronunciation correctly, and respond automatically to verbal stimuli. Correction of errors is carried out directly to prevent the formation of wrong habits. The use of the mother tongue is minimized, even avoided, so that students get used to thinking in English. The result of this activity is that the teachers are very enthusiastic in learning and applying the audiolingual method. Moreover, this activity is strengthened by participants and practical application directly to students. Overall, the Audiolingual method is effective in the early stages of language learning, especially to build basic oral skills. However, it needs to be combined with other approaches so that language mastery becomes more balanced and communicative.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out the effect of Using Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy toward students’ speaking skill For the Tenth Grade Student of SMA Islam Ulil Albaab NW Lendang Jaran Senior High School. This research was pre experimental research design. The Sample of the study was consisted of 34 students. The Data were gathered by using pre-test and post-test of speaking skill test. In analyzing data, the researcher used SPSS application to count the data. Based on the result of T-Tests, it was founded that the significance result was 0.015 it less than 0, 05. This finding show that Think Talk Write (TTW) effective toward students’ in speaking at the Tenth Grade Student of Senior High School at SMA Islam Ulil Albaab NW Lendang Jaran in the academic year of 2024/2025.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana reformasi sistem pemilu dapat menjadi instrumen strategis dalam memperkuat supremasi hukum dan mewujudkan demokrasi substantif di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan yuridis-normatif dan hukum empiris, penelitian mengeksplorasi regulasi pemilu, lembaga penyelenggara dan penegakan hukum pemilu, serta mekanisme pengawasan partisipatif masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek-aspek utama yang membutuhkan reformasi meliputi penyederhanaan regulasi pemilu, pemberian kewenangan yang jelas dan terintegrasi kepada lembaga hukum pemilu khusus, serta penguatan transparansi dan akuntabilitas penyelenggaraan pemilu. Reformasi sistem pemilu yang efektif juga tercermin melalui pengaturan ambang batas, sistem keterwakilan, serta mekanisme sanksi yang tegas terhadap pelanggaran pemilu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa transformasi sistem pemilu yang komprehensif tidak hanya memperkuat supremasi hukum tetapi juga mendekatkan praktik demokrasi Indonesia ke arah demokrasi yang substantif yaitu demokrasi yang bukan hanya prosedural, tetapi juga adil, inklusif, dan responsif terhadap hak-hak warga negara.
