Abstract

This classroom action research was aimed at improving students’ listening achievement using the dictation method at the seventh graders of MTs Sakinatul Walidain NWDI Boro’ Gerung. The subject of this study consisted of 30 students. This classroom action research consisted of two cycles and four phases, those are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The finding of the study indicated that the utilization of the dictation method was significantly effective in improving students’ listening skills. It can be seen from the students’ scores in the pre-cycles and after conducting all the cycles. Thus, it can be concluded that the students’ achievements are improved after conducting the dictation method in the teaching and learning process. Based on the findings of the research, it can be drawn that the use of the dictation method can improve students' listening skills in the narrative text.

Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to determine the impact of the Round Table method on improving students' speaking skills at first grade students of SMPN SATAP 3 Pringgabaya. In this research, researcher used Classroom Action Research by Kemmis and MC Taggart as the research design. This research was carried out in one cycles, this cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection was carried out by observation and tests. Data were analysed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The research results show that the application of the Round Table Method can improve students' speaking abilities. This is proven by student achievement through the Minimum Completion Criteria (MMC) (?70) with a success indicator (70%) In this cycle results where 95% of students achieved a score of 70 or higher, while only 5% scored below 70. The highest post-test score was 92, and the lowest was 60, with an average score of 80.32. The percentage increase in students from post-test was 33%. This learning method also improves students' attitudes/activities at every meeting during the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the Round Table Method can improve the speaking skills of first grade students at SMPN SATAP 3 Pringgabaya.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) merupakan metode yang tepat bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa khususnya pada pemahaman tentang text bahasa inggris. Untuk membuktikan argumentasi tersebut penelitian ini difokuskan pada penggunaan PBL dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa hususnya pada materi Naratif teks dikelas X di MA Darul Aminin NW Aik Mual. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-eksperimen dan untuk mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan instrumen pilihan ganda untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan uji-t untuk mengetahui keefektifan PBL dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris. Hasil analisis data yang dilakukan dengan SPSS diperoleh uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi =0,000 dari jumlah sampel sebanyak 26 siswa. Artinya jika tingkat significansinya kurang dari <0,05 maka dapat di pastikan bahwa hipotesis alternatif rata-rata (Ha) diterima, dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Temuan ini berarti bahwa penggunaan metode Problem Based Learning efektif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman Naratif text siswa kelas X MA Darul Aminin NW Aik Mual tahun ajaran 2019-2020.

Abstract

This study developed a multidimensional rubric for assessing argumentative writing in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context by integrating cognitive, metacognitive, affective, and socio-cultural dimensions. The rubric was designed in response to the limitations of traditional assessment tools that tend to focus on surface-level features, often neglecting essential aspects such as writer stance, planning, audience awareness, and contextual relevance. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, the study followed several stages: a needs analysis, literature review, initial rubric design, expert validation, and a small-scale implementation with undergraduate EFL students. The trial results demonstrated that the rubric effectively captured variations in writing performance across dimensions and supported a more nuanced understanding of students’ strengths and challenges. Students showed stronger performance in cognitive aspects such as argument structure and reasoning, while affective and socio-cultural awareness remained areas for pedagogical improvement. Feedback from both learners and instructors confirmed the rubric’s clarity, practicality, and potential to guide instruction and formative feedback. The study concludes that the rubric addresses critical gaps in current assessment practices and offers a comprehensive framework for supporting students’ development as reflective and context-aware academic writers. Future research is encouraged to validate the rubric in broader contexts, integrate it into digital platforms, and explore its impact on long-term writing growth.

Abstract

This study aimed at enhancing students' ability to compose academic writing by implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The urgency of this research arises from the challenges faced by the students in academic proposal writing, often perceived as a major barrier in completing their education. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), divided into two cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject comprises 22 seventh-semester students in the research proposal writing course at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The collected data through observation, interviews, and tests were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The result of the study indicated a significant improvement in proposal writing skills. In the pre-cycle stage, 36% of the 22 students were in the “sufficient” category. After implementing the PjBL method in cycle I, there was an improvement with 43% of students in the “good” category and 21% in the “very good” category. In Cycle II, results improved further: 50% of students were in the “good” category and 36% in the “very good” category, while the “sufficient” category dropped to 14%, with none in the “poor” category. This research shows that PjBL was effective in improving proposal writing skills, engaging students in critical and creative thinking, and strengthening written communication.

Abstract

Reading ability is an important skill that has to be acquired by students, especially in English. Regardless of that fact, we from Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global team took initiative to conduct training that can assist students to overcome students reading ability by the theme Teaching Reading—Based Phonics Approach. This activity is carried out at the seventh graders (VII) of MTs NW Tanak Beak Barat. The methods we used in this community service are observation, socialization with the school stockholders, and doing the program. The result of this program is that there is an improvement in students’ reading ability at the seventh graders (VII) of MTs NW Tanak Beak Barat. In addition, there is an improvement in the students’ motivation after learning English through Phonics—Based Approach, so that students are not pressured and enjoy the learning activity.

Abstract

Tridarma perguruan tinggi merupakan sebuah kewajiban bagi setiap perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Tri darma perguruan tinggi yang dimaksud adalah pengajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dua dari tiga tridarma yang dapat dikatakan wajib adalah penelitian dan pengabdian kepada mayarakat dimana hasil dari tridarma ini harus menghasilkan target luaran berupa sebuah artikel. Untuk memenuhi artikel dibutuhkan pemahaman tentang Oprations Journal System (OJS) untuk menunjang publikasi karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan. Pengabdian ini berjudul pelatihan oprations journal system (ojs) dalam meningkatkan publikasi jurnal ilmiah dosen di lingkungan institut pendidikan nusantara global. kegiatan Ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan publikasi dosen di lingkungan kampus. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan antara hasil sebelum melakukan pelatihan dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 71%. Hal ini dilihat dari pemahaman peserta tentang jurnal dan cara mengoprasikan oprasional jurnal system. Pada kegiatan ini juga peserta sangat antusias dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil.

Abstract

Sasak tribe is a tribe in Lombok Island that used Sasak language as their mother language. In their social life, the society of Sasak will not pass from social interaction among the people by using the language. Same as the other languages, this language has many role and grammatical which unknown yet by the other people. In this paper, the researcher will explain more about the role in Sasak language it is about degrees of comparison. In this part there are three types of degrees of comparison those are equality, comparative, and superlative. To get real grammatical in Sasak language, the researchers collected the data from the society then continued to analyze it after that the researcher got conclusions about the data. From the conclusions the researcher got the result: The first, in equality comparison, the society of Sasak use prefix ke before adjective then followed by preposition Kance. The second finding was in applying the role of comparative the adjective was added by suffix an then followed by preposition isik. And the last finding is about superlative role. In this degree the society of Sasak used word Santer or Tulen before put the adjective.

Abstract

The education in Indonesia is currently experiencing enormous problems due to the spread of Covid 19, therefore the government orders all teachers and lecturers not to do face-to-face learning during the pandemic. Online learning is one solution that teachers and lecturers can do to avoid face-to-face learning. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the success of online learning in the public speaking course at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. This type of research is quantitative research because it will calculate the value obtained by students in online learning during college. Data collection techniques in this study used attendance scores, assignments, midterm exams (UTS), and final semester exams (UAS). The data is then analyzed by accumulating the number of values ​​obtained using the assessment format that has been prepared in the form of Microsoft exel. The results of this study were the graduation rate of all students reached 80.8 with a passing rate reaching 100%. From these results it can be concluded that learning using an online system can be said to be successful.

Abstract

Register is a variety of languages ​​used based on usage, such as online game players who have certain types and functions of registers that distinguish the gamers profession from other professions. Mobile legends is an online game that is played in groups. In a Mobile Legends tournament, not only players are involved in a match but there will also be commentators who will guide and provide comments on the match. The purpose of this study is to analyze the form of the Register Language used by the Mobile Legends game commentator in the MPL season 5 tournament. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was done by observing the data by replaying the MPL season 5 grand final video many times, then transcribing the video script based on the expressions used and matching the script directly. The data analysis carried out consisted of three processes, namely data selection, data processing, and conclusions. The results of this study found that there was a use of register language that came from a foreign language, namely English which was used by Mobile Legends commentators such as the words first blood, retreat, recall, and play off.
