Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung perhatian orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VI di SDN 93 Singkawang; 2) untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VI di SDN 93 Singkawang; 3) untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VI di SDN 93 Singkawang; 4) untuk menganalisis pengaruh tidak langsung perhatian orang tua terhadap presstasi belajar IPA melalui motivasi belajar siswa kelas VI di SDN 93 Singkawang. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Path Diagram. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI SDN 93 Singkawang. Sampel penelitian diambil secara total sampling sebanyak 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian: 1) Pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar mempunyai nilai signifikansi koefisien jalur 0,077 ≥ 0,05, yang berarti perhatian orang tua berpengaruh langsung secara signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar. 2) Pengaruh langsung perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar mempunyai nilai signifikansi koefisien jalur sebesar 0,453 ≥ 0,05, yang berarti perhatian orang tua berpengaruh langsung secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar. 3) Pengaruh langsung motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mempunyai nilai signifikansi koefisien jalur sebesar 0,538 ≥ 0,05, bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. 4) Pengaruh tidak langsung dan pengaruh langsung perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar melalui motivasi belajar menunjukkan nilai 0,052 ≤ 0,150, disimpulkan perhatian orang tua berpengaruh langsung terhadap prestasi belajar melalui motivasi belajar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the value of character education in the Dayak Salako Garantukng Sakawokng folklore, which is related to human obligations to God. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a moral approach. The data source is a folklore told by the indigenous Dayak Salako Garantukng Sakawokng people. The research data is in the form of quotes, sentences, or paragraphs that contain character education values. Data collection techniques use the technique of listening to conversation, recording techniques, and note-taking techniques. Data collection tools include human instruments, recording devices, and data cards. Data analysis techniques include: transcription, careful reading, classification, analysis, and concluding. Data validity tests include referential adequacy, triangulation, and reader persistence/consistency. This study found 11 data of character values ​​in Dayak folklore, consisting of pious attitudes (3 data), faith and piety (3 data), gratitude (3 data), and respect for the Creator (2 data). These values ​​predominantly appear in the stories of Antu Pagayo Idup and Nek Karantiko, reflecting the strong moral and religious messages in local cultural narratives.

Abstract

This study aims to find the relationship between the use of internet media and writing explanatory texts for class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang. The type of research is correlation. The data collection technique used is indirect communication technique with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire, and a measurement technique with a test instrument. The data analysis technique uses product moment correlation. The results of the questionnaire analysis were 91.7%, while the writing results obtained an average value of 81.3. Then calculate the correlation by using a data analysis preparation aid table and calculated using the product moment formula. The results of the correlation analysis between the use of internet media and learning outcomes in the material on writing explanatory texts, namely at a significant level of 5% with 35 respondents, the results of the product moment correlation test were obtained with results = 0.433, while 1% is 0.430 and 5% is 0.334, thus = 0.433> 0.430 means significant. Because it is greater than. So the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of internet media and learning outcomes in the material of writing explanatory texts for class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang. Thus, this study contributes to digital-based learning by providing empirical evidence that internet media can be an effective tool in improving the ability to write explanatory texts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of students’ speaking skills in the Gembira Dong program at SDN 94 Singkawang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through a speaking test administered to 28 representative students and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 94 Singkawang were generally in the good category across all assessed aspects. The percentage scores for each aspect were as follows: pronunciation 66%, intonation 65%, fluency 67%, language use and content 79%, and expression 66%. The overall average score across these five aspects was 69%, indicating a good level of speaking proficiency. Therefore, it can be concluded that the students’ speaking skills in the Gembira Dong program at SDN 94 Singkawang are categorized as good.

Abstract

The maritime industry, a cornerstone of global trade and commerce, relies heavily on effective communication, primarily through Maritime English. Ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance on international waters necessitates proficiency in this standardized form of English. Despite its critical role, many maritime professionals struggle with Maritime English, especially speaking and critical thinking skills. This study explores how facilitated critical thinking in speaking can enhance Maritime English proficiency. Facilitated critical thinking involves instructional strategies that promote analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of information through interactive dialogues, problem-solving tasks, reflective practice, and collaborative learning. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative and qualitative phases, to examine these strategies among maritime students and professionals. Results from paired samples statistics, correlations, and t-tests indicate significant improvements in speaking proficiency and critical thinking skills following the intervention. The findings suggest that integrating critical thinking into language instruction effectively addresses the unique challenges maritime professionals face, ultimately enhancing communication and safety in the maritime industry

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini Adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terhadap kemampuan membaca puisi siswa pada kelas VIII MTs. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Designs menggunakan bentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII MTs. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan terpilih kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu 6,97>2,00 dengan taraf signifikasi 0,05%. Hasil perhitungan kemampuan membaca puisi siswa di kelas eksperimen yaitu nilai rata-rata hasil pre-test yaitu 33 dan mengalami peningkatan pada nilai rata-rata hasil post-test yaitu 66. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan membaca puisi siswa di kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata hasil pre-test yaitu 32 dan mengalami peningkatan pada nilai rata-rata hasil post-test yaitu 44. Perhitungan persentase aktivitas siswa diperoleh persentase 68,1% dengan kategori aktif. Uji Effect Size diperoleh nilai Effect Size sebesar 2,1 dengan kategori tinggi.
