Abstract

This research is Erich Froom's theoretical approach to children who feel isolated or existential dilemmas, humans in reality want to live alone. he wants to do whatever he wants, but on the one hand can not live alone. we live with other people. Humans are individual humans as well as social beings. We always experience dilemma situations like this in life. want to have as much freedom as possible but bound by social norms that exist in society. The formulation of the problem in this study is a child with the initials NAR who has a feeling of isolation, this study aims to describe human existence according to Erich Fromm and the dilemma of existence. The method in this research is qualitative related to Marxian personality which is carried out by observing a child's personality which is formed by various phenomena and events that exist in the surrounding community. Results Researchers in this study seek to understand events and their relationships to people who are used to the situation as in this study. Penelitian ini merupakan Teori Pendekatan Erich Froom Terhadap anak yang merasa terisolasi atau dilema eksistensi , manusia dalam realitas ingin hidup sendiri. ia ingin berbuat semaunya, namun di satu sisi tidak bisa hidup sendirian. kita hidup dengan orang lain. manusia adalah manusia individu sekaligus makluk Sosial. situasi dilema seperti ini tentulah selalu kita alami dalam hidup. ingin punya kebebasan yang sebebasnya tapi terikat oleh norma - norma sosial yang ada pada masyarakat sekitar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang anak yang berinisial NAR yang memiliki perasaan terisolasi, penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan eksistensi manusia menurut erich fromm dan dilema eksistensi. Metode dalam penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif yang berkaitan dengan kepribadian Marxian yang dilakukan dengan mengamati kepribadian seorang anak yang dibentuk oleh beragam fenomena dan peristiwa yang ada di masyarakat sekitarnya. Hasil Peneliti dalam penelitian ini berusaha memahami peristiwa dan kaitan-kaitannya terhadap orang-orang yang biasa dalam situasi tersebut Sebagaimana dalam penelitian ini.Keywords: Personality, isolated, existential dilemma.

Abstract

Karen Horney's theory of social psychoanalysis is based on the assumption that social and cultural conditions, especially childhood experiences, are very influential in shaping a person's personality. People who do not get enough need for love and affection during childhood develop basic hostility towards their parents and, as a result, experience basic anxiety. The subjects in this study were grade VII-students at MTs Negeri 1 MEDAN who felt that parents' concern for AK was lacking, which caused AK himself to be less free in expression, often ignorant, even AK himself tended not to appreciate others. The reason AK feels that way is because AK's parents often compare AK with his siblings. Unfulfilled love in childhood or lack of parental attention promotes the development of basic anxiety and hostility of each child. Parents' attitudes towards children who often dominate, ignore, overprotect, reject, or overindulge cause feelings of insecurity in a child.  Teori psikoanalisis sosial dari Karen Horney dibentuk berdasarkan asumsi bahwa kondisi sosial dan kultural, terutama pengalaman-pengalaman masa kanak-kanak sangat besar pengaruhnya dalam membentuk kepribadian seseorang. Orang-orang yang tidak mendapatkan kebutuhan akan cinta dan kasih sayang yang cukup selama masa kanak-kanak mengembangkan rasa permusuhan dasar (basic hostility) terhadap orang tua mereka dan, sebagai akibatnya, mengalami kecemasan dasar (basic anxiety). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-di MTs Negeri 1 MEDAN yang merasakan Kepedulian orang tua terhadap AK kurang, yang menyebabkan AK sendiri kurang leluasa dalam berekspresi, sering bersikap abai, bahkan AK sendiri  cenderung tidak meghargai orang lain. Alasan AK merasakan seperti itu karena orang tua AK sering membanding-bandingkan AK dengan saudara nya. Rasa cinta yang tidak terpenuhi pada masa kanak-kanak atau Kurangnya perhatian orang tua mendorong berkembangnya kecemasan dan permusuhan dasar setiap anak. Sikap orang tua terhadap anak yang sering kali mendominasi, mengabaikan, terlalu melindungi, menolak, atau terlalu memanjakan menimbulkan perasaan tidak aman dalam diri seorang anak. Keywords: New-Freudian, lack of affection, childhood

Abstract

Henry Murray's theory, known as Murray's Need theory, can provide valuable insight into understanding the experiences of victims of bullying. This theory identifies various basic human needs and how these needs influence individual motivation and behavior. In the context of a bully victim, Murray's theory can provide insight into the internal drives that may be involved in a bully's experiences and reactions. In this theory, basic needs such as the need for affiliation, the need for power, and the need for achievement are relevant in understanding the experiences of victims of bullying. Victims of bullying may experience feelings of insecurity and a lack of need for affiliation that is being met due to experiences of bullying and social exclusion. They may also feel their power and control is threatened by bullying by others. The need for achievement can also be affected when the bully victim feels low self-esteem and has difficulty achieving academic or social achievements due to the effects of the bullying, uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study type. The purpose of this study is to describe and describe the phenomenon that is happening. Researchers conducted research on one of the female students at the UINSU-Medan MAL.Teori Henry Murray, yang dikenal sebagai teori Kebutuhan Murray, dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga dalam memahami pengalaman korban bully. Teori ini mengidentifikasi berbagai kebutuhan dasar manusia dan bagaimana kebutuhan-kebutuhan ini mempengaruhi motivasi dan perilaku individu. Dalam konteks korban bully, teori Murray dapat memberikan pemahaman tentang dorongan internal yang mungkin terlibat dalam pengalaman dan reaksi korban bully. Dalam teori ini, kebutuhan dasar seperti kebutuhan akan afiliasi, kebutuhan akan kekuasaan, dan kebutuhan akan pencapaian menjadi relevan dalam memahami pengalaman korban bully. Korban bully mungkin mengalami perasaan tidak aman dan kurangnya kebutuhan akan afiliasi yang terpenuhi karena pengalaman intimidasi dan pengucilan sosial. Mereka mungkin juga merasa kekuasaan dan kendali mereka terancam oleh tindakan bully yang dilakukan oleh orang lain. Kebutuhan akan pencapaian juga bisa terpengaruh ketika korban bully merasa rendah diri dan memiliki kesulitan dalam mencapai prestasi akademik atau sosial karena efek dari bully., menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi fenomenologis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan dan mendeskripsikan fenomena yang sedang terjadi. Peneliti melakukan penelitian terhadap salah satu siswi di MAL UINSU-Medan.Keywords: Approach; Personality Henry Murray; Bully Victim.

Abstract

Periode remaja merupakan fase sensitif yang sering kali diwarnai oleh stres akibat perubahan fisik, hormonal, sosial, dan psikologis. Stres ini sering dipicu oleh tekanan akademis, ekspektasi orang tua, dan hubungan dengan teman sebaya, yang dapat berdampak pada penurunan subjective well-being dan meningkatkan risiko kecemasan serta depresi. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan subjective well-being adalah dengan bersyukur, karena kebersyukuran mencerminkan tingkat kesejahteraan individu. Kebersyukuran juga memiliki hubungan erat dengan self-esteem, yang mempengaruhi cara individu memandang dirinya sendiri, berinteraksi dengan orang lain, dan menghadapi tantangan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran mediasi self-esteem dalam hubungan kebersyukuran dengan subjective well-being di kalangan siswa SMKN 1 Setia Janji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebersyukuran memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap subjective well-being, serta berperan penting dalam meningkatkan self-esteem. Self-esteem, pada gilirannya, juga berperan positif dalam meningkatkan subjective well-being. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem berfungsi sebagai mediator yang memperkuat hubungan antara kebersyukuran dan subjective well-being. Oleh karena itu, kebersyukuran tidak hanya dapat meningkatkan subjective well-being, tetapi juga dapat memperkuat self-esteem, yang membantu remaja dalam menghadapi tantangan hidup dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Selama masa pandemi Covid-19 telah banyak menyisakan permasalahan dalam kehidupan manusia, termasuk masalah pembelajaran. Situasi learning loss dan penurunan motivasi belajar adalah salah satu masalah yang urgent untuk diselesaikan segera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan keterampilan belajar dalam quantum learning dan situasi leanring loss terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pasca pandemic di SMP egeri 7 Tebing Tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest dan posttest. Sampel penelitian diambil secara piuposive sampling melalui hasil sebanyak 75 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket tentang leaning loss dan motivasi belajar yang diadaptasi dari beberapa teori yang ada. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan paired sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Ada pengaruh pelatihan keterampilan belajar dalam quantum learning terhadap situasi learning loss siswa dengan perbandingan rata-rata skor  posttes 85,09 < 94,09 pretest pada nilai Asyimp Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. 3) Ada pengaruh pelatihan keterampilan belajar dalam quantum learning terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dengan perbandingan skor rata-rata pada posttes 129,92 > 124,11 pretest pada nilai  Asyimp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan keterampilan belajar dalam quantum learning dapat menurunkan learning loss dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning videos on learning independence and learning motivation of Permata Bunda Awaliyah Middle School students in Bandar Lampung. The population of this study was 76 students. Sampling in this study was carried out using a purposive technique, namely taking samples based on certain characteristics, determining the sample by screening during the pre-test, so a sample of 22 students was obtained. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a ne group pretest posttest design. The measuring instruments used are the learning independence scale and learning motivation scale as well as learning videos. Data analysis used the T test. The results of this study showed that there was no effect of learning videos on student learning independence, with a t coefficient value of -0.181 and a significance value of 0.789 > 0.05, so the hypothesis was rejected. Furthermore, the research results also show that there is no influence of learning videos on student learning motivation, with a t coefficient value of -0.691 and a significance value of 0.493 > 0.05, so the hypothesis is rejected.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of self-concept and parenting patterns on bullying behavior at SMA The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale with three scales, namely the bullying behavior scale, self-concept scale and parenting style scale. Based on the results of product moment correlation analysis calculations, it can be seen that: (1) there is a significant negative relationship between self-concept and bullying behavior as determined by the coefficient R = -0.392 (2) there is a significant negative relationship between parenting style and bullying behavior as determined by coefficient R = -0.834 (3) there is a significant negative relationship between self-concept and parenting patterns on bullying behavior at SMA X as shown by R-Square = 0.741 with a contribution of 74.1%. From the results of the research conductedthen it can be concluded that the proposed hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This study found thatthat if the variables perceived organizational support (X1) and work engagement (X2) simultaneously have a value of zero, then organizational citizenship behavior (Y) will have a value of 0.596, if the variable perceived organizational support (X1) increases by one unit, then organizational citizenship behavior (Y) will increase by 59.6% units and if the variable work engagement (X2), increases by one unit, then organizational citizenship behavior (Y) will increase by 59.6% units. The variable perceived organizational support has a t-value of 27.84. This value is smaller than the t-table value with a Sig. value of less than 0.05. This shows that partially, the variable perceived organizational behavior has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior of PT. M. The variable work engagement has a t-value. This value is smaller than the t-table value and is positive with a Sig. value of less than 31.74. This shows that partially, the variable work engagement has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior of PT. M. These results indicate that the variables perceived organizational support and work engagement have a major influence on organizational citizenship behavior of PT. M while the rest is explained by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Teachers are one of the factors that greatly influence the teaching and learning process to produce quality and highly competitive human beings. Teachers in carrying out their profession or work will certainly experience emotional challenges and require good psychological well being. This study aims to determine the role of self-efficacy and social support to improve the psychological well being of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers. The subjects of the study were 266 honorary RA teachers in Langkat Regency. Measurements used a scale of psychological well being, self-efficacy and social support. Multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant positive effect between self-efficacy and psychological well being (tx1y = 10,745 with p = 0.000 meaning p <0.05) and provided an effective contribution of 50.71%. Social support has a significant positive effect on psychological well being (tx2y = 2,176 with p = 0.030, meaning p <0.05) and provided an effective contribution of 8.64%. For the interaction effect, a significant influence of Self-efficacy and Social Support was obtained simultaneously on Psychological Well Being where the coefficient F = 192.334; with p = 0.000 means p <0.050. The effective contribution of both variables of self-efficacy and social support was 59.4% (R2 = 0.594). Thus, this study shows that self-efficacy and social support play a significant role in the psychological well being of RA teachers, both simultaneously and separately.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the influence of the Maternal Reflective Method (MRM) on improving the speech and social interaction skills of deaf children at SLB-B Karya Murni Medan. The low verbal communication and social interaction abilities among deaf children present a crucial problem, impacting their learning development and social adaptation. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, this study involved elementary-level deaf students, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through structured observation using instruments that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis using t-tests showed that the experimental group experienced a significant increase in average scores from 23 to 71 in both speech and social skills compared to the control group. The improvement in speech skills was evidenced by the children's enhanced ability to express ideas/concepts with clearer vocalization, more appropriate intonation, more accurate pronunciation, and improved word order and speech fluency. Furthermore, the implementation of MRM significantly affected the deaf children's social skills, demonstrated by an increased frequency of interaction initiation, more active responses to conversational partners, and the manifestation of more adaptive social attitudes in small group activities. While showing positive results, this study was limited to a single institution with a restricted number of subjects, thus requiring cautious generalization. The effectiveness of MRM is highly dependent on facilitator quality and individual child characteristics. Future research can explore these factors more deeply and address challenges in MRM implementation, such as children's resistance to the reflective process. This research recommends integrating MRM as one of the supporting methods in SLB learning programs, with consideration for adaptation to each school's specific context and resources.
